That's what my post is about what we need which is moving on Gueye, Carter, Garrett(sadly), Tyjon(cos he won't sign a pro contract), De Neve on loan/permanent and one of Ribeiro or Pickering leaving the other as back up to Hedges as LWB(I would keep Pickering personally and let Ribeiro go sadly)

That's give you 4 spots to bring new signings and register them if over 21. A striker is our must urgent need, a centre back and right wing back.

He could play the focus point role up front like Gudjohnsen did, he is match fit and knows this league. We need players who won't need much adaption time. That's the type of signings we need, looking overseas will probably be cheaper but will they be ready unless they have experience of playing in England

Is the committee doing the transfer negotiations? of course not, That's what Gestede's job is the head of football operations, That's is where your point above is wrong and you clearly don't understand how football works in you think a transfer committee is doing football transfers negotiations. We have 4 people on a committee/group who decide on transfers in Ismael, Gestede, Cairney and Owen.

You would expect majority of the work would be bringing in players for the under 21/18 whilst one of two might be first team squad.

No idea what we are recruiting for this January. Avoiding relegation? A play off push? Injury cover? Next summer's transition? Agents' benevolence fund?

If we were pushing on as a club I'd target a backup RWB, a starting LWB and a starting CF in January - shipping out Pickering, Ribeiro and Gueye and committing to this 3 at the back system.

We're obviously content to tread water so that won't happen.

I agree with you on getting a RWB, Litherland isn't the long term solution but I think they will be looking at a LWB, CB (O'Riordan) and a striker.

I think they'll just stick with Litherland until Alebiosu is back and address the situation in the summer.

Yes, but that same little or no money may also get you a De Neve

Just done a comparison of incomings and outgoings to see how people think we have ended up stronger or not after the summer window.

Considering the money spent overall I think it's pretty favourable though I'm sure others will disagree 

One thing it has certainly done is bring the average age down considerably
