  1. With regards to this rule, I don't see how it could ever be enforced. Who are the Football League to say 'player A' is officially a better player than 'player B'? There are no official ranking systems for players, it's not possible, so I don't see how they could dictate to a club which of their players are better than others. Add all the other variables when it comes to a selecting a team, injuries/niggles, opposing personnel etc then I can't see how the Football League could get anywhere with that rule.
  2. The WBA have had 'Super Champions' for years haven't they?
  3. Watched this myself the other night, it was a belter.
  4. If you like Until Dawn then I would suggest getting Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls. Heavy Rain is very similar in terms of your choices have actual consequences (unlike Telltale games). Some of the quick time events in it had me literally jumping out of my seat. Beyond is more linear but there's still enough space for you to go through each chapter a bit differently, Ellen Page plays the main character and she does it superbly. Real world class acting. Willem Dafoe also lends his acting credentials to the game. Both made by the same developer and two really fantastic and beautifully written stories. I've been an avid player of Skylines in the past, best city building sim going as far as I'm concerned. It's alleviating traffic that is the key! For any theme park sim fans out there I'd recommend playing Planet Coaster. I've sunk quite a few hours into it in just a couple of weeks.
  5. Don't know if anyone saw the Chocolatitio fight, but it was a belter. Controversial loss for the pound for pound best who will surely get the immediate rematch. The WBC has rules on head clashes, if they cause a cut a point needs to be deducted and only one got deducted when it could have been two. Gonzalez soundly outpunched his opponent across the 12 rounds but lost a majority decision. For me it was a very close fight but Gonzalez deserved the win. Would happily watch the rematch! I know the lighter weights aren't to everybody's tastes but I would definitely recommend people watch this one.
  6. Basel at home, it was broadcast on Eurosport too. Soon as the full time whistle went I hurried home just to watch it again as soon as.
  7. Me and my friends still talk about that to this day!
  8. The last paragraph is bang on. Then again, your content always is JHRover.
  9. Fair enough Gav. Maybe i went a bit over the top myself because to be fair I've seen some shocking MMA bouts and some of the fighters, mainly the ones from a grappling background, really do hit and hope, swing for the fences etc. Some of their technique is rather poor like turning their wrists when punching and poor head movement (I'm looking at you Ronda Rousey). Obviously they will never get to the same standard as someone that only trains in boxing, which is why I can't see McGregor getting anywhere near Floyd, because if they do fight it will be under boxing rules only. For what it's worth, I think it's a bit of a silly potential match up myself, that really proves nothing either way, whoever wins.
  10. The possibility of at least an 8 figure payday will negate any farcical notions surrounding the fight. I'd fight either of them with one hand tied behind my back for a fraction of that money. I think to label the UFC (by UFC I assume you mean the pseudo-sport of mixed martial arts) 'the fairgrounds' is a little bit puerile, these are skilled fighters (generally), certainly at the highest level. Multiple kickboxing, muay thai, BJJ, taekwondo, judo, wrestling champions, olympic medallists etc compete in MMA. Ronaldo Souza and Fabricio Werdum each earned 2 gold medals (plus numerous silver and bronze) in the ADCC championships, whilst still being active in MMA. The ADCC championship is probably the most prestigious grappling competition in the world, besides from the Olympics. Watching guys like this translate these skills into an MMA bout is really impressive.
  11. One thing I really like that Mowbray has changed, is how high our full backs play when we are in possession. Nyambe more so, but that's probably because Williams is a centre half playing at left back. Playing this way pegs the opposition back and then the onus is on us to attack. Previous managers had them playing to the halfway line!
  12. I'd think we'd be quite lucky to get that much - between his low number of first team appearances for us, him not being included in national squads and we've only had him here for 4 years. In fact, maybe the recent inclusion and all the noise about him and desperate to get him signing a new contract etc might be to drive up the tribunal price. Not nice to think like that but with the way our club is run, it certainly wouldn't surprise me.
  13. Not completely disagreeing with you or anything, but how about a mortgage and bills to pay, for starters.
  14. Glasgow interference? (From the blue side obviously)
  15. Worked under SISU at Coventry and now Venky's at Rovers, Jesus Tony talk about self flagellation!
  16. I know it's a bit late to the party but I just finished Beyond: Two Souls this week (borrowing a ps4 off the brother in law), have to say I really enjoyed it. The story was a bit far out but some of the acting in it is first class, some quite emotional moments and a really likeable character played by Ellen Page. I think the reasons they went to extremes with the storyline was to showcase her abilities really. Between that and the sound (which is really top notch), I'd recommend it. Though it is barely a game! Not exactly a wide range of gameplay mechanics involved and pretty linear but still a good experience for me. Although I like the Telltale games, I prefer this game to any of them and they don't even come close to Life Is Strange! Heavy Rain next.
  17. Exactly. If those at Ewood/Pune don't have the ambition or put the effort in then how can the fans do the same?
  18. For lunch on the go, Zakros in the market have a few Thai's working there and they do a decent pad grapow (krapow)Thai basil chicken). Not the best I've ever had like but decent.
  19. Has anyone here played Life is Strange? Took me a while to get into it but it got me eventually. It's set out like a Telltale game but it knocks spots off every one of them with better story, characters and also level of detail. Your choices actually have consequences in this game too unlike Telltale. I'm on my third playthrough at the moment and still noticing little details that I missed the other two times, really clever writing. The soundtrack is really amazing too. I know these story kind of games aren't for everyone but if they are then I highly recommend this one.
  20. Did De Pedro not get some game time at Southampton away too? May be remembering wrong to be fair.
  21. Anybody watch that 'Skegvegas' on telly recently? It's 'documentary' on singers in Skegness. However, I'm convinced it's really a mockumentary and they are just trying to troll us. The main guy in it is just so bizarre.
  22. Went to Shimla Spice in the darklands on Thursday. Got to say it was delicious, the patrons were about 90% Asian too which is always a good sign for its authenticity. I think sometimes though they can use too much ghee for the real authentic dishes but thankfully not at Shimla. Staff couldn't do enough for us too. Definitely recommend this place.
