  1. Gutted! I was hoping that the person that told me was misinformed. Lets pay tribute to a true legend tomorrow!
  2. I thought that too (official confirmation) but it's not the sort of thing you make a rumour of.
  3. Someone has just informed me that Ronnie Clayton has passed away. Deepest sympathy to his family. A true Rovers legend!
  4. Wasn't sure where to post this but King Kenny is 59 today. Happy birthday to the King!
  5. Cheers and good news, couldn't handle him scoring for them v us!
  6. Has he actually signed for them yet? Seems to be dragging on!
  7. West Ham are coming across like admirers of a girl, only to soon find out that she's a fat nag way past her sell by date with little to offer up-front
  8. Nelsen will kick the living daylights out of him in a couple of weeks!
  9. Is it because you had their photos on your bedroom wall?
  10. Watching Public Enemies on DVD and dissapointed really. The fact I'm on here says it all! Heat is still Michael Mann's best film! Btw, District 9 is superb if anyone hasnt seen it. Rovers 3-0 Pompey!
  11. Not forgetting the mentally-challenged Jason McAteer as Barnes' assistant!
  12. You can't blame him for wanting out. Our best striker by a mile and a joke he's not been playing.
  13. Benni McDonalds talking about his need for stamina http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/8174919.stm
  14. Well i've just put him in my dreamteam so he'd better carry on scoring. Looks totally reborn!
  15. Wings chinese in Manchester centre Leo's Italian in Chorlton (south manc) Greens vegetarian in West Didsbury (Simon Rimmer's restaurant - the guy off something for the weekend with that Tim Lovejoy). 18. Please accept my humble apologies...I unsubscribed with the Fiver a while ago - just dont find it funny anymore and I have a certain disregard for Guardian sport journalists!
  19. Put this in the 'other prem happenings' but this thread is more relevant... Barton's 1st Statement "The first day's the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in, hand you your uniform and force you to pose for the photographer while loads of fat, tattooed, skinheads shout abuse at you. That's when you know it's for real. A whole life blown away in the blink of an eye. Nothing left but all the time in the world to think about it. That's when it hits home. That's when you realise you've signed for Newcastle" Joey Barton.
  20. Shame what happened with Warhurst. I remember his debut at Anfield when we won 1-0 (Newell). He totally dominated midfield and could've been a really big player for us if it wasn't for his constant injuries. Wiki says he played for Northwich last year and almost got the managers job but left before it was decided. Also, THAT goal against Manure in the title season, but the less said about the rest of that game the better. I'm not bitter!

  22. I met Souness in 2001 when they were training out in Dubai and he came across as a really good bloke. He had loads of time for the handful or Rovers fans that came to watch them and even invited us for a drink at the Dubai World Cup later that evening (which I obviously obliged)! I think he's a very good pundit and says it how it is, if not a little instense at times. As for what he did for Rovers, well he was losing the polt and left at the right time, but he got us back up, signed some great players and brought us a trophy. He should be remembered as a good Rovers manager!
  23. Pains me to say it but the only one I'd take from them would be Joey Barton.
  24. It's about time the Geordies faced facts. Yes they are a big club but only based on their fan base and this alone. Fat Sam inherited a dreadful team, he's bought dreadful players (Rozenhal, what's he all about?) but if they get rid of him they are back to square one. The more they change their manager, the less likely they are to gain momentum and the more frustrated their fans will become. Lets see what this Ashley guy is all about but if he sacks him, then more fool him!
