  1. Fits the model this one, can play a variety of positions, including cover for Nyambe, has played at England youth level. I think there will have been some sort of discussion about the possibility to buy him come the end of the season. Lad is 23 and hasn't nailed down a place for Southampton so I can see them doing business. Strange how Norwich haven't gone back in there considering their fans seem to rate him.
  2. On official twitter and website. I think Brereton is more likely to be announced tomorrow if its going to get done.
  3. Pretty sure I read one of Rothwell's preferred positions is holding midfield and likes to carry it out from deep.
  4. Harrison Reed plays there and CM. Played there lots for Norwich last season.
  5. But also deserves criticism and to be called out for the chancing cretin he is. I think as long as its on a message board and not on social media its fine... Start taking his word as gospel on twitter and discussing his pea brained thoughts and he'll be thinking he's a brilliant. Imagine knowing that you've made a living out talking bullshit your whole life, The S*n is the perfect place for his nonsense.
  6. Pick one of the best players in the championship and link them with a team outside the top 6 in the Premier league, then pretend to be in the know and call yourself a journalist... Slow claps for you dickhead. Any prem club with a scouting network will be well aware of Dack... In other news the sky is blue and it might rain this year. Clown.
  7. Dack won't be going anywhere until next summer, 99% sure on that one. When he does leave it will be a for a damn sight more than 10 million measly quid.
  8. Was thinking the same but I can't see West Brom taking such a hit on his transfer fee and I think will be in their long term plans.
  9. I think we've been especially unlucky in specially one area of the pitch, can't remember us having so many attacking players out at once, it wouldn't be so bad of Graham could do 90 but seeing as he can't just highlights it a little more. I do think we lack a little depth perhaps but certainly not lacking in quality.
  10. Looking at their boards I can't believe the arrogance... Who do that lot think they are? "Should be beating sides like Blackburn"... No one has any right to beat anyone and a few of them saying they should be aiming for automatic promotion... ?? Very dangerous thinking that way in this league, you should look to take every game as it comes, teams who get out of this league do exactly that. I've seen many a team be tipped for promotion who've then struggled to stay up, if that lot start believing their own hype then they'll find themselves in a lot of trouble. Brentford are a small club who play decent football but who couldn't beat us even without Dack and Armstrong, they're better off keeping their head down and going under the radar like previous years. Just because they pass the ball around a bit doesn't make them the Barcelona of championship football, you need to win games a number of ways in this league or you'll be one dimensional and get figured out. We've played some top class passing football at times this season but to see us win in other ways is just as pleasing. Oh and Dean Smith the salty prick. Does he not realise how pathetic it looks blaming a football pitch because you didn't get a result? Jog on silly bollocks. They carry on with this entitled attitude they will struggle in this league, never mind get promoted. Today has definitely made my mind up about going to Griffin Park, looking forward to turning them over on their apparent bowling green of a pitch with a full strength side.
  11. Come on mate, we have quality just been unlucky with injuries. Once Brereton comes in we have Arma, Graham and Brereton all to pick from which are all capable. About your post about it not being a good window. Considering Palmer scored today and has looked good, Rothwell looking like our best player, pulling Newcastle's pants down for Armstrong, Davenport still to come through... I'd say that's a pretty decent window. That's not accounting for Brereton and Reed who still might come in and Rodwell who could go either way. Chin up.
  12. The way he draws players in and glides past em I could watch all day. Based on what I've seen so far he can be as good as he wants. Already looks more than comfortable in this league. Technically outstanding.
  13. Thanks for your efforts Perth... This in blue and white halves could be a winner! Also going to try and design something this weekend too. I'll share it here if I get roubd to it.
  14. Cracking flag that, one that stuck in my mind when I had this idea. We should celebrate our success more. Perhaps one with 'BRFC', each cup we've won underneath with a star representing how many times. Could be nice...
  15. Some good ideas... One thing I'm pretty sure of is that it should be blue and white halves.
  16. If I could fit that on a flag I would! "heaven knows it's got to be this time" could describe the feeling of our fans regarding managers and the 'owners' these past 8 years.
  17. I think this is being treated as a direct CB option and if he shows he has more to his game then its a bonus...
  18. Right then... Planning on getting a 6ftx4ft custom flag made up and looking for some ideas. I don't want anything too busy, something bold and simple. Seen a few flags with 'New Order' on them, a band that I really like... Can anybody tell me the connection there? If there is one that is... Either way, the name of the band suits the current situation under Mowbray and its something the fans could undertake as a new feeling of togetherness. Don't worry, I still have my 'Venkys Out' flag folded away in case they decide to @#/? things up again but for the time being its nice to make a different type of banner and focus on the football for once! All ideas welcome.
  19. This bit cracked me up... “It feels brilliant to sign here. I’ve obviously had a bit of time off"... Aye mate... It's been 6 years!!! ?
  20. OK so I'm going to try and stay optimistic... (I can almost hear the Mackems laughing) If Rodwell has been brought in as cover for CB then it could turn out OK. Given the length and possible terms of his contract it's possible he could be out the door before he can blink if he messes around. Also, if he tries to act the big one around this group of players, he'll get put in his place. Best case scenario, he comes in, gets his head down, learns from Mulgrew, does the simple things well and becomes a decent option for us. Considering his age, the fact that he's 6.2, can use both feet and is decent in the air... As a CB option he could turn out alright. If people think we're going to get Rodwell of Everton then I'd recommend adjusting your expectations, years have passed and much water under the bridge since then. Best to lower your expectations to hoping he'll be good CB cover and if he turns out to be better than that then happy days. After all, he has no option other than to give everything he has in these next 9 months to earn a place and a better deal or its pretty much career over. We hold all the cards on this one... So prove us wrong Jack!
  21. Typically after a new signing announced you want to believe they're going to be a good signing but that review from the Mackem is sobering to say the least. I hope this one doesn't do more damage than good. This one is all on Mowbray now, I know he can pass it off as "cheap" punt but it's down to him to show off his man management skills and get something back in return. Uneasy about this one but hopefully the mood here, the manager will inspire him. Good luck to him. Good luck to Sunderland. Good fans, deserve better.
  22. Perhaps that's because neither side really knows what sort of valuation to put on him? We could agree to a fee but then decide he's worth less than we originally agreed to, so then it's worth bringing him in and seeing whats what first. We're stocked in midfield, think where the option to buy clauses really need to be is in the attacking players because they tend to command more of a premium.
