Zero chance of Adarabioyo playing right back.

Right, new day, transfer window is done, for my own sanity I'm going to try and focus on the positives. Johnson and Cunningham both quality signings, definately improve our first 11 and Gallagher gives us more options up front. Hopefully Tosin lives up to expectations and shows City why he should be ahead of Stones and Otamendi. Although Walton isn't ours he's no worse than Raya. I was speaking to my mate is a die hard Wiganer and he said the exact same things about Walton as we did about Raya, flaps on crosses, doesn't command his area and preferred they brought in someone with more experience (which they did). Time will tell if we're better or worse off but on face value it's much the same. On face value the first 11 should be better than last season, you would hope the experience of Cunny, Johnson and Downing would count for something. All we need is the manager to do now is pick our best 11 (with Rothwell) , stay away from a microphone and hope we stay injury free at the back. Take something away from Fulham and a half decent defensive performance would boost confidence and the general mood. A decent free signing or two would be ideal to just ease some nerves, someone like Lynch on low wages wouldn't be bad to help squad numbers but Vorm and Neustadter would be ideal, I hope we're still looking, hope Sharpe can find out if we'll be looking at free agents. All in all I'd say the window has been a 6/10, maybe better or worse dependant on how Tosin performs.

We were literally one decent centre half away from a good window IMO but the lack of strengthening there is so crucial that it makes it a poor window, especially when looking at how many goals we conceded last season. A lot of responsibility lies in Tosin this season and it seriously calls into question why Mowbray made this signing. Backed himself into a corner regarding team selection, paid a fee for a player on loan when Wigan are signing Pearce from Leeds for 200k!!! They haven't a fecking clue about the market or even about many players, who they are, their strengths, etc... That's obviously why they have a recruitment team. The best signing he's made is one that he saw with his own 2 eyes, Rothwell, Brereton was one he had no idea about that was suggested by the recruitment team. Lack of knowledge about the market and footballers in general is alarming. Also... Has Mulgrew even gone? Would have thought this would have been announced by now.

Well the stats suggest he probably cost us more goals than scored so hopefully it will even itself out.
-
It wasn't that he didn't want to move up north it was his missus, she didn't want to move away from her family.
-
I don't disagree, we lacked it with him in there.
-
Crazy, really feel we lack leadership in there.
-
I misread your post so it looked like you were saying Bennett is better than Cunningham... Apologies!
-
Isn't Cunningham a left back? To take Bell's place? Or am I mistaken? On Mulgrew, he's that much a liability that losing him reduces the risk of him being played. At least he can mistakes on another clubs time.
-
He obvs considers his centre halves as Lennihan, Williams, Tosin and Nyambe as cover with Rankin Costello as cover for Nyambe. Please, at least sign Cunningham.
-
Announce Cunningham FFS. Surely that one has to happen.
-
IF and it's a big IF we sign Cunningham and our social media team fail to announce it with some sort of nod to Happy Days then they need sacking.
-
Odds for 700 pages without a signing?
-
Just get it done Venus or we'll f*cking send you there.
-
I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.
-
I actually don't mind Williams at CB to be honest, I think he's been better than Lennihan at times when given the chance there. Not that I wouldn't like to see better.
-
I don't see a centre half coming to be honest. Tosin, Mulgrew, Williams and Lennihan will be his 4 centre halves.
-
Even if they are decent, I don't think the manager has the personality to keep them all happy and will just poison the squad.
-
Is it me or does anyone else not want anymore attacking players? Only going to shove Rothwell further down the pecking order.
-
Madon on here said it yesterday and LT confirmed he is a target.
-
He's cooping the dream alive!
-
Been linked before and the manager ruled that one out.
-
What's the reason for letting him go then??? Surely would want to keep such player!

The bloke really needs to shut his mouth. He's a talking disaster.
