  1. Another one cleared off the line.
  2. Reading almost scored, cleared off the line. Too many passengers.
  3. Yes, someone needs to tell him he's not in a friendly.
  4. Dolan and Vale aren't starters. Nor is Pickering to be fair.
  5. Rovers are playing crap. Maybe a few thought they'd walk this one.
  6. Overall this all sounds treemendous.
  7. The goal he scored on Sunday will have alerted PL clubs. PL quality should come with a PL price tag though.
  8. It could ruin him as a player. Everton are an odd club. He'll go from playing every week scoring goals and raising his profile, to being messed around as a squad player with various managers, scoring the odd goal when he's able to in a mediocre to poor team.
  9. I've seen people say Edun did okay when he came on. I can't see how anyone could say he did anything but poorly. Even off the ball he didn't seem to know what he was supposed to be doing, wandering about half asleep. Or maybe he just wasn't happy to be there, he didn't look it. Maybe the heat affected him but it's the worst I've seen from him.
  10. Loads of draws too.
  11. He's not had the best start but he's playing in a side doing poorly at the moment. He was my pick for who TM should get to replace BBD when he was away in Chile.
  12. On a different PL related topic, I'm really enjoying watching Man Utd falter. United fans have always been such a bunch of entitled superiority complex laden bunch. And the "Theatre of Dreams" always seemed pretentious for such a big toilet. At the moment it feels good to be a Rover.
  13. It'd be a nice twist if he ended his career with us and we ended up back in the PL with him as our Hendry type at the back, but his injury record is pretty terrifying. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/phil-jones/verletzungen/spieler/117996
  14. In the history books this will be noted as the age that context died. It was a man's game, he was talking about mens football. Also he was using it as a figure of speech, meaning, it's not a game for boys. I hope he doesn't apologise. Edit: he hasn't. And his reply is brilliant. Bravo Souey! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/62548431
  15. They'll need him when they drop a division 🤣
  16. We should destroy them but we know how these things go. Always a risk being over-confident when you support Rovers.
  17. Probably pay him off, or partly off. He's 30 now so can't expect those wages for the rest of his career. Probably bull though, as we'd be paying yet another injury prone CB not matter how low his wages are.
  18. With Mowbray, not making any sense isn't such a stretch of the imagination. Bizarre manager.
  19. They were all sweating buckets, I just think WBA have some good players. One thing I was impressed with is that JDT was making sure the players were okay and getting them to drink plenty when they could. Before his substitution, JDT personally checked if Phillips was okay. Everyone was laboured walking to and from the match, I can't imagine running about for 100 minutes plus in that heat. My best wishes also go to the brave soldiers in the Riverside stand who must have had blinding sun in their direction, for the duration.
  20. If we got Styles that would be a massive signing in my opinion. Perhaps the need to cover other areas may have meant this was put on hold.
  21. We weren't leggy, it was freakishly hot. There won't be another matchday as hot as that this year.
  22. I know I've been a strong advocate for signing Swift in the past, but he was absolutely dire yesterday thankfully. I imagine Bruce's dinosaur tactics have vacuumed any creativity out of the fellow.
  23. I'm probably in the minority here but we still need a goalscorer. If BBD gets injured the goals will dry up again. Just his presence means that other attacking players get more space.
  24. The excellent start is probably curtailing any rush for signings. We'll struggle if we continue to push our luck though.
