  1. I didn't say they would do that, I'm saying what needs to be done. The first half was the worst I've seen Rovers play, the second half it was clear to see what we were lacking today. I wouldn't look to replace BBD, I'd get a good wide man/crosser in that spot and buy a decent strong centre forward to play where Dolan did today. Adebayo or similar.
  2. Buckley was a massive let down. Even off the ball he wasn't moving and looked completely disinterested. His play affected the other players. Adam Wharton looked like a massive upgrade.
  3. Players like Buckley aren't blameless as well. That's the worst performance I've seen from the guy. Wharton showed what a proper midfielder should do. I don't know how you can possibly blame JDT for the shambles of yesteryear. We're reaping what TM and co have sown, as well as terrible leadership in the boardroom. Some positives are that Adam Wharton looks a fantastic player, he didn't put a foot wrong. If he'd only been on from the beginning. Hedges looks as if he's continuing his form from the first few games. The penny seemed to have finally dropped with JDT that Rankin Costelloe, Buckley and Pickering either aren't pulling their weight or aren't cut out for the team. All three rightly subbed. Also that Dack is better playing behind the front man. I hope the penny has also dropped now that Wharton is an excellent player. He was everywhere. Supporting the wide players, defending, challenging in midfield and putting some nice balls through for the attackers. More of this please. Sell Brereton asap, spend the money on a good centre forward to replace Armstrong, a good winger to replace BBD, a defender and a fullback. We don't need any more central midfielders. In the second half I thought Rovers were brilliant. We were just missing a goalscorer in front of Dack. We need Scott Wharton back. Phillips did well but Ayala was was immense today and at times was covering for both fullbacks.
  4. So now we're a club where the bloke in charge of getting results has no choice over the players he has to work with. Could work.
  5. If Brereton doesn't want to sign a new contract then sell him and move on.
  6. Still not signed anyone yet? After the disaster that was last week? Oh dear. Second place, sign fuck all. First place, sign fuck all. Venkys really couldn't give a flying one could they.
  7. The director of football and head coach being appointed very late didn't help, when they knew Mowbray was going well in advance.
  8. Because they should be doing much better than one win in five, for a team with parachute payments fresh from the top league! A lot on here aren't happy with 3 wins in 5.
  9. If we'd spent (and made) as much as Burnley and in 15th place after a month, I'd be getting twitchy. Let's see how the team looks by the end of the transfer window. Clearly we're after a couple of defenders, and maybe a midfielder. The big worry for me is there's no talk of bringing in a goalscorer and aside from BBD who alternates between Brereton and Diaz match to match, we don't have much if a goal threat up front. If he doesn't play well, we don't score.
  10. And despite being terrible Burnley ended up with a 3-3 result after being 3-1, at home.
  11. And needed one since last season.
  12. The league table is still looking good but the manner of the defeats is cause for concern. When is Wharton back?
  13. I don't understand this at all, it's like playing ten with Gallagher on the wing. Hedges is injured btw.
  14. We've just played three good teams for this league, and got three points. Stoke will be a big game because if we can't get a result against them we're in trouble.
  15. Burnley finished 3-3, shocking home result considering they were 3-1 up.
  16. Some players can't be improved, especially when the squad is so thin. You need competition in a squad. And let's not forget that Rovers were especially low on numbers when we kicked off this season. Pickering won't be anything other than league 1 sadly. Far too early to judge JDT with the paper thin squad and injuries.
  17. Edun, Pickering and Gallagher were all signed by Mowbray.
  18. After today's display we can't afford to not sign a goalscorer.
  19. Yes but they aren't playing with a 17 year old and Pickering at the back. Do that to any team and they'd struggle. Travis and Buckley played like they didn't know what a football was again too so that doesn't help when you've got such a paper thin defence.
  20. Are Blackpool playing with a 17 year old and Pickering at the back?
