  1. It's absolutely ludicrous. We finally have Brereton back, along with Dack on the bench, and he drops the guy who can provide a killer cross. And to make matters worse, no Buckley or Rothwell in midfield. Who provides the service? When was the last time any of the others provided a decent cross or through ball? He drops BOTH midfielders who can provide a decent pass, but keeps Gallagher in the team who somehow manages to have a remarkably shit game even when he scores. Well done Tony, you've earned your corn this week as well.
  2. Well that's the final nail in it.
  3. The tit signed someone who is one of the best crossers of the ball in the Championship, and didn't sign anyone to be on the end of them. Then boasted about it in the local paper. What a crackpot.
  4. I hope he told TM to feck off about playing on the right wing, when he's a left full back. If he did that then good on him.
  5. How I'd love them to pip Bournemouth though, it'd be amazing after their transfer window shithousery.
  6. I don't know about shown up but it'd be a massive let down to actually get there after all these years, and our dreams fizzle out like an indoor firework.
  7. I'm expecting us to concede early on and late on.
  8. He has been shit, but you're being anything but fair.
  9. I'm still amazed TM didn't get Maja. 4 goals in 28 games. Rarely fucking scores, good enough for me says Tony. He'd have had him playing on right back ahead of Nyambe.
  10. Gallagher and Pickering were spectacularly awful last time out. I imagine Giles is injured, but you never know with screaming mad Tony.
  11. Be careful what you wish for, they sound like a right bunch. Venkys without the money. What happens when they get Burnley in £160m of debt? Alan Pace is from California. Now it's going tits up, he'll probably spend less time in Lancashire than Venkys do for fear of someone smacking him in the face with their battered halibut.
  12. Yep, cancel the debt and sell the club cheap. The only thing with that is we know the fit and proper test isn’t fit and proper. We’d end up with someone like ALK.
  13. Do we sing gleeful songs about one of their previous owners/employees/legends being dead? I'll point out many Burnley fans find it distasteful too. The ideal thing would have been both teams in the PL - and we'd have probably been in a relegation battle with them.
  14. I was told by a Burnley fan yesterday, "ALK are Venkys without the money". Venkys may have money but they rarely use it wisely. And on the very rare occasions they do it's offset by some other bonkers decision. Like ALK, they created the debt which continues to rise so wake me up when it reaches £160m+ with zero positives. And no, promotion from L1 was not a positive. In isolation it is, but all things considered it means we've been to hell and aren't quite back. "Back" meaning financial security.
  15. Even if we scraped into the play offs, Tony clearly doesn't do big games.
  16. He did leave on good terms, although his last act was to lead them to bottom of the Premier League and relegation so it could have been better 😆
  17. I think Kean's ban on any kind of dissent in the stands began with that chicken. I may be wrong. I hope the crowd turns. The performance against Peterborough was an absolute joke. The effort that went into organising and motivating that team suggests that TM is on his way to another team and he couldn't care less, apart from covering his own ass.
  18. I never want Rovers to get beat, and even if I did agree with the above it won't change anything. TM will still have that "oh well" look about him. The owners won't give a toss. Nothing will change.
  19. Do they allow banners in these days? I thought they banned all that in the Kean Out days. You couldn't even take a post it note in and a packet of crayons in with you. And believe me I tried.
  20. We've all been there on this forum. I saw some twaddle from a Burnley fan saying we had insurmountable debts when Venkys took over and would have dropped sometime anyway. Absolute bullshit. The club was 13th in the PL when they took over. The debt was £21m and Phil Jones was later sold for 17.5m. Steve Kean started the real rot on the field, and his cronies took an enviously well ran club, sidelined anyone of any note (who then left) and ran it into the ground. And it's still being ran by people with seemingly no power with apathetic owners literally phoning it in. Fit and proper.
  21. Dyche was one of the highest paid. That’s why the decision to sack him after giving him such a massive contract is right up there with Venkys greatest hits. His sacking is going to cost Burnley over £15m.
  22. No no no. Where Burnley is concerned, times are...
  23. I don't know. A televised bonfire with his corpse burning on it could be a winner.
  24. That's true but I think we're done for this season. We may scrape more draws than losses if we're lucky but I'm not expecting much.
