  1. I don't know if it's defending him, and as someone else has said he is an uninspiring appointment. It's just far too easy to blame him when there are other factors at play. We're without key defenders and our top scorer. We have several players coming back from injury who won't be fully match fit. We're without the manager that led them to sixth in shambolic circumstances. We didn't strengthen in January. If anything we're weaker. A lot of Rovers fans expected this to happen with Eustace. Sure we won three in five but the Swansea game where we lost 3-0 before he took over was fucking diabolical. The matches under Ismael have been a continuation of the players being piss poor. I'm not sure which manager could deal with that turmoil. There are other people at the club who are responsible for us dropping out of the play offs and it's important to direct our anger at the right people.
  2. Looking at our form since Dec 21st, our form under Eustace was better but it's not exactly glowing is it. Prior to our 6 game unbeaten run. We had a decent start, then it went to pot a bit, then a six game unbeaten run and then since the injuries and lack of investment, in my opinion we've been shit.
  3. Andy "fucking hell" Jones, brilliant. I think he summed up every Rovers fans emotional state at that very moment.
  4. "Rushed back", if we're being honest about it. You can look at any match thread, even the ones where we won, to see how much we declined since December. Against Cardiff he rightly dropped Cantwell and Forshaw and our general play was much better but the injury of Dennis and introduction of Duberry swung it in Cardiff's favour. Their winning goal came from them hitting us on the break when ACD lost the ball cheaply. The players have got to take a lot of blame as for example the defending for Cardiff's first goal was awful. Just a free header when there were players there to challenge. What was Carter doing? We're missing Batth and Beck. Under Eustace we went shaky defensively when Beck was out. Edit: The more I see that second goal the more it infuriates me. ACD loses it then has the opportunity to try and get it back and at no point puts in a challenge or makes it difficult for the player with the ball. He couldn't give less of a f***.
  5. Performances really seemed to drop away to Millwall on 21st December when Travis and Pickering got injured. I've watched every match since and even in the ones we've won we've had a really shitty first half or second half. That match stood out to me and we've never really improved much. Any CEO who gave a damn would have raised concerns to the owners then, and strengthened accordingly. Waggott probably didn't even know there was any decline. Without Batth and Beck in defence we're now even worse. It's pretty much the same defence that almost got us relegated last season. And our forward line options which haven't been great all season, haven't been bolstered at all now that Dennis and Kargbo are out. We're left with Cauley Woodrow as our "super sub" who hasn't scored goals regularly for years. To make matters worse Ismael obviously isn't the kind of manager to grind out results, which Eustace was good at.
  6. A perfect summary of an awful result. If that's true about Lowe, what a fucking idiot. ACD coming on changed the game and it wasn't just because Dennis was playing well at the time. Defensively we went to pot because he kept losing it when we had players committed forward, allowing Cardiff to break. And he made no attempt to defend without the ball. Any child out of the crowd could have put in that performance.
  7. I went through the mourning period in January. I expected it to fall apart when they clearly weren't supporting the manager. I did make the silly mistake of believing they may support Eustace if he excelled and there was a chance of promotion. But it's now obvious that the previous two Jan transfer windows with the O'Brien and McGuire fiasco's were by design. It renders the club pointless and the only chance of resurrection is if Venkys leave. For the record I don't blame Ismael, just like I didn't blame JDT when it fell apart, and didn't blame Eustace when he first came in and there was no bounce. It's the owners and their parasites who are to blame.
  8. I got stick for this the other day but I don't think he ever fully had it. The manner of Eustace leaving and lack of support from above ruined morale. Much like the end of JDT's first season when the club wanted to sell any assets as soon as the season ended, and didn't make any secret of it to management team or players. And some of the players didn't make a secret of how disgusted they were when they were chasing a play off place. Well done SwaggFail.
  9. Get him on camera addressing the fans concerns. Give someone enough rope, etc.
  10. If that happens then he's resigning as Suhail doesn't sack people, he just lets their contracts run down or has a girly strop when other teams take them. As we saw with JDT he doesn't even let them resign without a large dose of petulance.
  11. As I said before, his big mistake today was bringing on ACD when Dennis got injured. It was ACD losing the ball that led to their second goal, and he'd done it multiple times before that but others bailed him out. He'd also shown absolutely no desire to help out with defending our box, just allowing their players to jog by him with the ball without a challenge. I think that says everything about Ismael and the club itself. The bench was awful which wasn't his fault, but he obviously just sees things in black and white. ACD = winger. Forshaw = midfielder. He's not done his homework on who he's picking as ACD isn't ready for professional football and Forshaw has no legs. I'm not saying we would have won but we don't lose that today if ACD is left on the bench.
  12. Course they don't. They don't want promotion because it would mean some work and investment has to go back in. Hence three years of sabotage.
  13. It wouldn't surprise me if he gave it to himself in the knowledge that Venkys have absolutely no clue, or care, about the club.
  14. I wouldn't say Cardiff wanted to win more than we did, they were really poor. We were clearly putting in the effort until Dennis got injured and we effectively went down to ten men. We're suffering from three members of the defence that got us into the top 6 out of action, a forward line that's struggled all season (and our top scorer is out), a weak bench, and a manager who clearly isn't able to grind out results. SwagFail and their paymasters shoulder the blame for most of the above.
  15. Whether it's true or not that he convinced Venkys not to spend money in January, he screwed it up either way. And not for the first time.
  16. Waggott should have been out of the club years ago. He still clings on after failure after failure on and off the pitch.
  17. Can we rename this thread SUFAIL OUT! This c*nt needs ousting from the club asap.
  18. It's the wrong appointment. We needed someone who could grind out games with this squad/injury list. But not signing that striker we needed in January, again, and also bringing in players no one else wanted is hurting us. Eustace left because he knew his stock would fall due to incompetence and lack of support above.
  19. Hyam's challenge for their second goal was laughable.
  20. Our defence at the moment is shakey but the real problem is players lazily giving the ball away putting us under unneccessary pressure. Today it was ACD, the other day it was Cantwell. Why the hell he brought on ACD for Dennis I'll never know. I know Dennis was injured and the bench was as weak as piss, but he was probably the worst pick of the bunch.
  21. Travis’s body language was terrible in the last 5-10 minutes. It’s understandable that he’s disappointed but he should be professional, lead by example and play till the final whistle. Not just booting the ball anywhere in frustration.
  22. He’s a different player without Batth. When are Batth and Beck coming back?
  23. The only positive is that we didn’t play as badly as we did against Derby and Stoke. I never want to see ACD in a Rovers shirt again. We looked the better team and Cardiff looked knackered till he came on. Just send him back now.
  24. If he wasn’t sacked for two consecutive January transfer window shambles he won’t be sacked for 2-1 loss. Probably get a pat on the back and another bonus.
  25. I’ve never seen that happen before. He just gave in to the Cardiff players.
