Brittain started off brightly then went to shit after a few games, then turned out good going forward (but arguably still iffy at the back).

Like the team in 2016/17 season, and that one looks better than the one we currently have. We had the likes of Raya, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Conway and Graham back then.

After that another will take his place. Same will happen with the vacant CEO role, same with Suhail. It's Venky's that need to f..k off.

£1.5m is a joke. They've made the club into such a toxic place that other clubs know it won't take much to turn a players head. Give it a couple of days and he'll have gone for an "undisclosed fee".

The bizarre lack of bringing in good strikers continues even though goalscorers have previously brought in a ton of cash, and could have brought in more if Pasha did his job effectively. A bad start to the season but fully expected. I don't blame Ismael. Gestede, Pasha and the owners (especially) are the problem.

Check my post history, I liked him in his first few months here but then he seemed to decline. He was obviously much better last year as his forward play was excellent but I still found him frustrating when it came to defending. I don't think we'll miss his as defending but we're going to miss him going forward.

I wasn't a fan of Brittain as I've always thought he's a poor defender but half-decent going forward. Last season he excelled in that respect along with his workrate so it will be disappointing for yet another player to leave after a good season. The bigger problem is that we'll likely replace him with someone cheap who is poor at defending and going forward.

With Carter and Hyam at the back we could be in for a repeat of the 23/24 season minus Sammie Szmodics.

Young, hasn't kicked a ball in the Championship, was injured for a while last year. You're right. He's definitely the replacement for Batth, and I'm not being facetious.

If we don't sign another CB then we've only got Carter, Wharton and Hyam haven't we? Even worse when Carter and Wharton inevitably get injured. Terrifying.

We're down without Batth. I've seen enough of that defence without him to know we're in the shit. Hyam is useless alongside Carter and Wharton, he just folds.
