  1. Good question - anyone? I'm sure a loan at a League One/Championship team could've been arranged, with the expressed intention of giving him a chance next season if he did well. Seemed to work for Derbyshire.
  2. Man Utd Bristol Rovers Notts Forest MK Dons Took your tip there as well Hasta, got 25/1
  3. Absolutely, and you're right to say in reality probably more. If he keeps us his current form he'll break 20 goals this season and would be a target possibly even for lower ranked Prem teams. We should have been loaning him out this season and next, to a Championship club to see how he copes with that. I would love to know the reasoning behind selling him.
  4. Spot on. I hope someone keeps a copy of the story and shows it to her kid when he's old enough to understand.
  5. Solid Centre back. As long as our esteemed coaching staff remember that, he'll do fine.
  6. Was it not said when we sold him that we'd put a first refusal clause in there?
  7. Yeah I know - I'm referring to comments made by the commentators during the match. I believe his previous prize money in darts was circa £16k.
  8. Quite rightly so. Benni was unmarked stood next to the penalty spot. At this point the game was close at 2-1, had he squared it to Benni for a tap in we'd have made the game comfortable, Benni would've ended his bad run and we could have been sat here today discussing a 4-1/5-1 win, with both strikers back on top form. For Gamst to shoot given the options he had was absolutely crazy. If I were Benni I'd still be bollocking him now.
  9. He he, true that! The winner Part - Lewis/Painter semi final must be a hot favourite for the title. BTW, while we're on lookalikes - anyone ever seen Adrian Lewis and Jordan in the same room?
  10. Manley comes across as a guy short on the talent to be the best, so tries to compensate by being the most controversial. He's a decent player but I don't think any of the shenanagins do him any favours. Great day of darts so far, Shepherd was excellent and Part-Wade was classic. I have a suspiscion we're heading for a Taylor-Lewis final.
  11. What an odious little ###### this guy is. I hope a big hairy bloke called Julian befriends him on the inside, in more ways than one.
  12. Very sad news - always liked Priestley - if Phil Taylor hadn't been around he'd have been World Champion numerous more times than he has. I'm unfamiliar with this story - trouble last year?
  13. If you think that would stop United approaching Hughes, or Hughes accepting, then you're dafter than I thought.
  14. Thats a good point Dean, I saw that interview and didnt even make that connection. I guess we still have the Spanish club aspect to worry about, but even there I can only imagine Sevilla of their top 4 wanting him. It may be worthwhile monitoring the Kanoute story closely for a couple of weeks.

  16. So what do you suggest? Capital punishment? What were people expecting, him never to be let out? It sounds like the guy has done his time, behaved himself and is now coming out the other side. Sure the jail term has been too lenient, but that can't be blamed on Lee Hughes. What he did was horrendous and in my opinion he should've been given a sentence so substantially longer that he would've been too old to play professional football by the time he was released. That aside, would the feelings be so anti-Lee Hughes if he wasn't a mega-rich footballer?
  17. There are no games in La Liga next weekend. The next and penultimate game of the season for Madrid is away to Zaragoza on 10th June.
