Sorry if I sounded too serious as I presumed you were joking. Agreed re: Froch, but absolutely no disgrace losing on points to Ward at the time (top 3 pound for pound). I think two rounds only on the scorecard but it was wider than that in my view and I was not suprised Froch did not want the re-match unless in Nottingham with British judges. Ward suffers from being too good in terms of entertainment and tv appeal. Comes across very well however and talks a lot of sense.

Hope Fury v Klitchko takes off this time round. Be nice to see Fury really tested and see if he can come through. I was very confident he would win last time round, little has changed and I don't see how Klitchko beats him unless attacking, pushing forward and letting his punches go. Which could play straight into Fury's hands. Interesting nevertheless.

I don't. He has been stymied by promoters and avoided by fighters for a long time now. I think he will handle Kovalev's power and win relatively comfortably. Few made Froch look pedestrian, but Ward beat him without leaving 2nd gear. Rate Kovalev however and he could be as much as 20 pounds heavier come fight night. Joshua at weekend against Breazale (sp). The American has been talking the talk, stated he was embarrassed by Charles Martin's performance and that he is here to win. Talk is cheap, but the guy is a big unit and has 15 KO's from 17 fights. Joshua is 16 from 16 of course. Quite a number of pundits are predicting an easy win for Joshua inside 2 or 3 rounds. I am not so sure and wonder if this guy can give him a tough evening. Eubank on the undercard against Doran defending his British Middleweight title. Claims that the problems experienced in his last fight (Nick Blackwell) will not affect him in the same way it affected his father. Next stop Golovkin if he comes through that which should be interesting.

I explained I had called the Khan fight incorrectly. I stated I had understimated Crolla's ability. Some would say acknowledging errors is humble. You think its arrogant. You think Khan has a glass chin. Haters going to hate!!!! I therefore pointed out with numerous examples that the very best in the world get dropped, without being criticised for a glass chin. You didn't want reminding of that so started name calling. You say Hamed is your hero so I presume you have watched his fights. If so you will have seen him put down countless times but no-one bemoans a glass chin. Who do you think has a rock solid chin? Best to research it before you comment.

Abbey wanted a boxer fgrom the Ukraine / Germany / Fighting out of America, to beat Fury up. And a Mexican to beat Khan up. Good job no-one from Outer Mongolia is fighting a UK fighter! Two time world title holder, WBC mandatory for Garcia at Welterweight, middleweight challenger = Glass Chin. You could write what some know about boxing on a postage stamp. You don't get to World level with a glass chin. You get found out in your 1st or 2nd fight as an amateur and get told to wrap it up before you get hurt. Froch was on his ass v Groves, Ali against Cooper, Foreman against Ali, Lewis twice, Tyson lost 6 times, sparked out and knocked down loads of times. Heck, Frazer was down 6 times in one round against Foreman. No glass chin involved of course. And before anyone says Mayweather go and do your research as he touched down a few times. Maybe Holyfield with a head made of granite? Prince Nazeem was down around 10 times in his career, maybe more. Who gives a toss, he was still a class act. Anyhow, credit to Khan for taking the fight. I thought the new trainer, rising maturity, plus experience at the highest level would help and hoped he could last 12 rounds and win on points. Despite the new technique and training, Khan's defensive ability remains inadequate and getting caught flush like that trying to hook was George Groves like. I thought he had no-where to go. 7 losses on his record and I genuinely thought he was UK / European level at best. However this last couple of years, he has looked very strong against all he faces. Loved his tactics at weekend, kept it tight, stayed close, let the guy punch away, kept coming forward and pressurising, looked to hurt to the body and finished the job. Don't like his trainer at all, but fair play they got the tactics bob on and Crolla boxed perfectly. Best performance ever by a Uk boxer? Don't think so, everyone getting excited, doesn't make it factual. The other guy had only been past 6 rounds once before. Not Crolla's fault, but Barrosa was totally cream crackered.

Decent enough kid Amir Khan. Have met him on more than one occasion. Always has time for those that come out to support or want his attention. Matured dramatically since the Garcia knockout and linking up with Virgil Hunter. Lost on points to a drugged up Peterson, but other than that good wins against Zudah, Alexander, Maidana and Algeiri of late. Worth noting that all four of them talked about Khan's supposed glass chin and how they were going to drop him easily. Really hoping that the Brit can win at weekend. For the record Khan has been down on eight occasions, but only lost in two of those fights. Even if Canello drops him, there is still reason to hope that Khan can see the win through. Khan has himself stated he will not have the power to hurt Canello, who has never been stopped, so it would appear a points win is his only chance. A bit frustrating watching some boxers when you know they do not have the power to finish the job with one punch. Come on you brits! The winner is meant to sign to fight Golovkin within 15 days. Presume Khan will go on an immediate diet should he win.

Jack accumulated over 100 scoring punches more than Bute apparently. Two of the judges had it a draw! Work that out! Clearly Jack won for me. I thought Bute was finished after Froch took him out in 5 or 6, again when Degale recently beat him, but somehow he still gets another shot. Nowhere to go for him now. I also fancy Degale should he meet Jack. But only on points. Feel that Degale needs more authority in his jab and to improve technique off the ropes to go up another level. Thanks Gav, we all contribute however and other peoples views are of interest to me. Billy Joe will want more than a million to fight Golovkin! He'll get flattened early doors and lose his title. That's a stadium fight which should generate bigger dough. Very interested in the Khan fight also. Predicted straight away that Khan would win, but that went against the grain of most experts. Pleasingly more of them are giving him a chance now, not that it will will count for much if he gets sparked out. Khan looks good at the weight and may surprise a few. I can't see a third fight. Klitchko would avoid him should he win. There is as much if not more money to be made fighting Joshua should Fury retain his belts. This fight will be interesting if Wlad tries to get inside and unload. Fury must be expecting that and it may well play straight into his hands. Fury is a hurtful (not devastating) puncher but I can still see him taking Klitchko out if he takes too many risks too early. Not sure what Klitchko can do differently other than attack. Should be interesting.

Total mismatch with Golovkin. Getting sick of some of these mandatory's that the IBF insist upon. Why let Klitchko stay as IBF champion then strip Fury within two weeks of winning his crown? Brook v Bizier and De Gale against another no hoper. Joshua just battered that useless American. Within 15 days of the Khan / Canello fight the winner has to sign to fight Golovkin. I presume Khan will immediately drop back down to 147 as he is mandatory for Garcia and the WBC. Canello doesn't want any of Golovkin, trying to get him down to 155 instead of 160. Canello probably wants Billy Joe to unify in that way. Khan looks good at the new weight and being slightly taller than Canello may help. Light Middleweight is 154 so maybe he stays around that weight and fights for that title if winning or like I say drops to 147. Fury and Klithcko been confirmed July 7th and Joshua v Breazale June 25th. Breazale is 17 and 0, with 15 knockouts. 30 years of age and 6 foot 7. Ranked 13 I think with the IBF below Haye and Chisora. Presume they are giving him someone tall in the approach to fighting Fury. Klitchko looks like he has been seeing a phycologist to me and looks much more at ease around Fury. Stating he will spark him out this time and was mentally shot last time, hence not letting his hands go. Groves did a number on Froch mentally prior to fight one. Whyte got to Joshua with drug references. Fury really got to Klitchko last time and won the fight before stepping in the ring. May not be as easy this time round.

Boxing is far from dead Vinjay. In fact I would go as far to say that this is he best ever era for British boxing across all levels bar none. We have more world title holders than ever before, more challengers to those crowns and a huge array of young boxing talent pushing for the higher reaches of the sport.

Age and injuries Tomps? Ok pal. Personally speaking I think you are over engineering Fury's victory a tad. Tyson is a massive unit with a long reach and simply due to size, forgetting any ability, will prove a handful for all. I don't think Fury will spark him out. I am expecting an improved Klitchko, throwing some punches this time, yet still feel he loses on points again. Especially now home advantage has been forsaken.
