  1. Possibly, I just think the owners might receive an offer they could stomach if promoted and cut their losses. But nothing makes sense in Venkys Rover land so who truly knows.
  2. Possibly but i think we getting to crunch time. I might be wrong, but nothing lasts forever.
  3. Aa a professional football Club you represent yourself to the best effect every time you play. I hope we win against Wolves 10-0. However, winning promotion gives us the chance to secure the clubs future in many ways for generations to come. Plus the chance to get rid of these owners. Every gane is a cip final in the PL and the financial benefits of promotion far outweigh some temporary enjoyment in a cup competition.
  4. Thanks to everyone involved for all your efforts and hard work.
  5. I think for one of the first times this season Eustace got it badly wrong. We weren't threatened in the 2nd half until he made his substitutions. Cantwell and ACD contributed absolutely nothing.
  6. Done their homework. Doubling up on Dolan / Brittain.
  7. Gueye, Weimann, Hedges, Buckley largely anonymous.
  8. Come on you blues. Dropped a lot of points recently. The pressure is cranking up. Hope we can deal with it. I think we will draw this match 1-1.
  9. Eustace said there was money available. Eustace said he wanted experienced Championship campaigners. Eustace said he wanted pace outwide and upfront. Eustace said he wanted some quality and more of a threat in front of goal. Eustace said he wanted proven re-inforcements to give the group a lift. Six new players brings a lot of drive and positive energy to the team. It will create healthy competition, cover for injuries, change the dynamic and inject belief. It's largely a short term strategy, but im ok with that. Sixteen cup finals. A large number of these players and possibly the manager, won't be here anyway if we don't achieve the play offs and win promotion. Just focus on the opportunity we have here and now. Could we have done more? Of course. As could everyone. But at least we have given ourselves a chance and i'm pleased for Eustace and our stand out, star performers. They have given everything this year. We are better than we think. We have been a well kept secret all year. The standard is relatively poor. Can we keep our nerve, can someone go up a gear, or can a new signing make the difference? We need 10 more goals from somewhere and to remain miserly in defence.
  10. It's all about the next four months, nothing else matters. We have a professional approach, great team spirit and some very good players. Time to crack on.
  11. Who are all these brilliant owners you reference? The only clubs above us are either awash with parachute payments, or Sunderland averaging 38,000 each home game.
  12. I don't see the problem in getting loan players in. Makes perfect sense to me. We need quality and we can't afford to buy the quality we may acquire by way of a loan move. We are not planning for the next three seasons. Its all about getting in the play offs this season. We need to focus all of our energies on that short term target and hope for the best.
  13. Anything that takes the defenders out of their comfort zone and affects their concentration is helpful. No defender wants to be stood there for a corner. Older fans will remember the Brotherstone corners to the near post, Faz flicking it on and Garner nodding in at the back post. Very hard to defend against, normally resulting in another corner, the ball headed back to the corner taker, or a flick on into the danger area.
  14. If you are pinning your hopes on any one player firing us to promotion you are going to be disappointed.
  15. He's back for every corner and every free kick. Two are marking him for every set piece. He has had zero service. Hes knackered after 60 minutes as he has very little support. Hes been settling into a new league, new team, new location, new country. All the attackers on our books have a similar record. He plays in a system were defence has been the overriding priority. If strikers are judged purely on goals you are of course correct. If you care to think it through its no suprise hes now improving.
  16. You win and lose as a team and I choose to avoid criticising our players. Especially when they play for the shirt and give their all. Players need time to bed in following a move and feel part of the new set up. I've high hopes for the lad for the rest of the season. He's getting better and better and at last being given some service. We certainly need Gueye, Ohashi, Dolan, Hedges and Cantwell to go up a gear. The defence has been brilliant for the most and it's time the attackers gave them a breather. I like this manager and these players a lot. Irrespective of their individual abilities.
  17. Hedges and Dolan got a lot of criticism in the first half of the season. Meanwhile we were in the play off positions for most of that time. Hedges and Dolan getting a lot of criticism again today. As we go back into the play off positions. Let's hope they get slagged off all year. And we coast into the play offs with them starting most weeks. Congrats to all involved today. Really pleasing win after a tough January.
  18. A poster on the Plymough forum said Forshaw was on £ 12,500.00 a week and they were glad to be shut of him. Not sure how true, or how much we might be paying him.
