  1. Well we will soon see. If the club is as toxic as you, Troy Deeney and many others profess to know, then there will be zero interest in the managerial vacancy. Personally I think they will be queuing round the block.
  2. So that's supposedly PNE, Hull, Coventry, West Brom and Derby that Eustace was interested in? So im now meant to believe that these clubs are all a perfect model of exactly how clubs should be run and will be run going forward? Plus they are all closer to his family and home especially Hull, literally a ten minute brisk walk from Birmingham. One thing all his aspirations have in common. They are all below us in the table.
  3. They have ALL flopped at some stage. That's why it is such a tough and subjective decision. Its also why they are are all unemployed. Why don't we headhunt 15 places higher as Derby have just done. That would be Fulham and Marco Silva. I think we would all be happy with thar.
  4. Ince had us rooted to the base of the PL. Hodgson also had us in serious trouble. We were always one bad appointment from disaster and we had someone in Sam with the knowledge and know how to keep us up. It was way too big a gamble. And it backfired. But I knew that without the hindsight of being proven correct. You reap what you sew.
  5. It's very clear to me why he's gone. Nothing to do with our owners. Nothing to do with Derbys project or vision. He does not give a fig about Derby and it's foolhardy to think otherwise. Hes gone for one reason and one reason only.
  6. Yup and you were probably in the majority at that time wanting Allardyce gone. And the Venkys agreed. Brilliant for you. But disastrous for me and the rest of us who cared more for the clubs long term sustainable future in the Premier League than our short term personal enjoyment at matches. That ridiculous sacking and lack of footballing insight and intelligence contributed to the Rovers playing in division two and three ever since and wiping 60% off our turnover. Lack of footballing intelligence being systemstic with Venkys reign. But bully for you anyway.
  7. Eustace has got his longer contract and significant pay rise. Now he is referencing Derby's togetherness, synergy and longer term vision as a key reason for joining. Mmmm. Does he think we are stupid? What a load of absolute horseshit. Derby's vision? They've not won in ten and just lost seven on the bounce. They are in freefall. So what vision would that be exactly? A visit to Blackpool next season? Cambridge, Crawley, Exeter and Lincoln? A true visionary indeed. How about you honour the contract you signed here you plank instead of exploring League One possibilities? Six new lads relying on you and eighteen others who have shown you total committment and loyalty all year. Relying on you John. You know like a family. A fan base that embraced you and supported you even when you nearly took us down. The owners not send you an Xmas card? Didn't invite you to their Palace? Boo hoo. Still paid your wages though and all those around and beneath you. Here's my vision. I hope Eustaces problems start at QPR, Derby's pathetic run continues, they still struggle for goals and he's managing in League One next season. With a relegation on his record. Then starts very slowly and is sacked by Xmas. Just in time to spend lots of time with his family. Togetherness and all.that. And look at the lift him leaving gave the players last night. All of tthem. Fucking.hell, we can attack! And score! And win away! And our striker can now shoot! Now that's a vision we can all enjoy.
  8. This lad has been top class this year. Absolutely brilliant. Quiet and understated, just gets on with his job effectively and efficiently. You hardly notice he's on the pitch at times. Zero drama, very low maintenance and a threat at the other end. Which strikers have terrorised us this year? Few and far between. I really rate him.
  9. Sheffield Wednesday surprising me a tad. Coventry have really closed the gap. Watford falling away. West Brom have not impressed all year, but have been hard to beat. Boro up and down. Good battle at the top of the league amongst those four. Leeds looking dominant the last few weeks. Rovers currently the best of the rest. I've said all year we are better than we think and the standard is low. With players returning and six new signings maybe we can get on a roll. No idea what Luton are playing at. I guess losing has become a habit.
  10. Dolan scored the last one.
  11. If we just focus on the next 14 games and maintaining team spirit it's not as daft a shout as you think. If looking further ahead then no thanks. For me, this is crying out for an Allardyce or Warnock type.
  12. I said three days ago to make Travis player manager. I said two days ago to make Travis / Tronstad joint player managers. I was a bit yongue in cheek. For 14 games only of course. You said in your excellent, heartfelt match report Travis felt like the de facto manager yesterday. The best chance we have of success this year is to maintain team spirit and group harmony. Therefore the best appointment is the one that maintains and enhances what we already have. Who is that man?
  13. Ha ha. Your not letting that drop.
  14. Ha ha. I'm not. I'm just bored of his childish behaviours. Meanwhile you've given me a few as well. But as soon as i query your positions, your reasoning dissolves. Its supposedly a discussion forum welcoming everyone's views, is it not? Another prime example here. The only people who should be worrying about our bench next season is the players. Not you. Did you see any sign of the players fretting about anything tonight? No you didn't. Because they are grown ups and footballing uncertainty comes with the territory. As do the thousands of pounds each week.
  15. Cannot complain about anyone or anything tonight. Credit to Lowe in keeping it simple and doing exactly what we have done all year. However he made an obvious clanker with both subs. Cantwell and ACD have shown.numerous times they cannnot be trusted defensively away from.home. I cringed when they came on, inviting pressure. I'm not being churlish, but you can't give the ball away constantly without repercussions. We had bit of run tonight which has been absent of late. Such fine margins in this division.
  16. Stop bleating about Eustace. Nasty Rovers fans singing nasty songs about him blab blah blah. What do you care? He wants more money, he's got his wish. Let's hope it's career suicide and Derby plummet into League One. Oh and I'll make it easy for you. I've got 26 down votes in all my time here. You've given me 14 of them. Got a little crush on me. Knock yourself out and give me another one.
  17. Yeah it's a big Fuck you to Eustace. Fucking dynamite. Chuffed to bits for us all. Credit to one and all.
  18. Me neither. Hes been excellent. Really calm and accomplished.
  19. Well, well, well. Looks like we've got a centre forward.now.
  20. 0-0 half time. You know we are happy with that. We have looked relatively comfortable. Now we need to show we can play some football.
  21. I doubt that the owners are content. I think that they have simply run out of ideas and don't know what to do. They dont know jack shit about football. Think how many people they have trusted to do a good job. Think how badly they have been let down time and time again. Think how much money has been squandered. They have often recruited supposed genuine football folk qualified at this level, but still flirted with relegation and also been relegated. They've been totally rinsed including all the parachute payments. I imagine they are ill with it all, spunking money left, right and charlie. Re the executives. Media income is up. Matchday income is up. Merchandise income is up. Advertising income is up. We are actually performing relatively well in these area. This is all indicative of an organisation trying hard behind the scenes. Day to day executives are often judged on these parameters. Success on the pitch facilitates further growth and bigger bonuses, so that doesn't make any sense. Re the manager, coaches and players. I presume you do not include these in the plan to avoid promotion. As Rev suggests below. No Rev it was a genuine question. I read constantly we dont want promotion and haven't a clue what the posters are going on about. Players know they will be replaced? So you believe managers and players do not try and win, fearful of being replaced? Behave, that's complete hogwash. Cope with full stadia? What are you going on about? Waggot isn't on the turnstiles Rev. He doesn't have to do anything. Waggott under scrutiny if we performed badly? errr no. He would be lauded for turning a 20 million turnover business into a 130 million turnover business. I worked in football for many years. We were all desperate for the team to do well. Phones ring off the hook when teams do well. It makes life so much easier for all.
  22. Good overlap down the left shot from Buckley off target.
  23. I know emotions are running high, but could you please explain why you believe the club would rather not get promoted?
