  1. That explains why you don't like the Wombats! Tings Tings are ok, they play catchy tunes. Although the Chris Moyles 'Fat Sue' remix is quality.
  2. The Wombats are amazing. So talented live. I went to see them for about the 7th time on saturday and once again they were superb. Next day they did Radio One's big weekend and they were adored by the masses once more. The UK album is a fantastic listen and is very easy on the ears.
  3. Just looked at Garth Crooks' Team of the Week. Click Here Now who would you pick as the keeper of the week? The man who single handedly kept the Premiership Champions at bay or "oops the ball is in my net" Al-Habsi? Yep that's right Al-Habsi.
  4. Forgot about this thread. I went to see The Enemy at the Ricoh a few weeks back, they were pretty good. I preferred the old days when you saw them with 50 other people but still good. I also went to see the Fratellis this week, on the eve of their new album release. Not bad but i thought their new stuff was pretty weak in comparison with the classics.
  5. Really? Tennant in most the interviews i have seen has said he would do the short one offs next year at least, but they always trick us along the way with actors leaving.
  6. So glad to see Billie making a reappearance! I was impressed with Mrs Tate, she didn't follow the previous role of screaming every minute. This has to be a big series with the break next year.
  7. Exactly, although the place is getting a bit of a face lift. Coventry like to think of themselves has having some success so that's why they plow a lot of effort into their football thugs.
  8. Loving One night only. Got tickets to see them on their tour. Ordered the Muse DVD and CD set for my mums birthday, very handy as i can burn it to my laptop first
  9. I am most likely on the DVD as i was on the front row and the camera was constantly over our section. They keep putting back this DVD it was meant to be my mums Christmas present. Still better late than never.
  10. Supporter gives Ped confidence, anybody owning up to giving him the boost he needed? If that was all he needed then we are sorted!
  11. I'm expecting a fair bit after the big build up with the trailers i have seen. We will see.
  12. Me and Ricky at least. Although £80 is reliant upon Man Utd winning the PL as well, so that's not looking as good as it did this time last week. Still a cheeky ton would come in handy.
  13. Slightly worried about the rumours about Coleman taking over at the Ricoh. He would do a very good job with them. I would like to see them get Nigel Pearson and a berth in League one is assured.
  14. Wiley Dropped Wiley has been dropped for allowing Blackburn to get a point against Everton. He correctly followed FA instructions and didn't give the blatant penalty on Benni McCarthy, however he then failed to follow the FA Directive and give Andrew 'Diver' Johnson a penalty kick at the other end. Even worse the Linesman has been dropped as well. I thought he was brilliant at the weekend. However the worse bit of the article is the murdering of the English language by Dominic King.
  15. So he is worth around £4m now then? Whatever you say about him he score goals and there is no chance he will retire, just move to another club if need be. That's an exaggeration he got more free kicks against us that he didn't get. I would assume it's the same in most matches as well. Strikers tend to get a bit of the rub of green when backing into defenders, etc. If he has a problem then he needs to adapt his game, much like Ronaldo has. If he can't then fair enough but your not going to change the impression by crying about it, get into the gym and work on upper body strength.
  16. Players get reputations, that's the modern game. Every ref knows every player and the ones to look out for. He may be honest but the man spends 45mins of a match on his backside, be that by fair or unfair means. He got plenty of free kicks so i don't think you can blame the refs for being that biased against him.
  17. I would think he would of taken the penalty anyway and you would think he has more chance of scoring from there than from the spot. I suppose he could be a AJ and diving at every opportunity.
  18. His shirt was clearly pulled which took him off balance. In real life i couldn't see it but it's very clear on the replay and your instincts say that a top striker would not go down in that position, with a goal almost certain.
  19. Any small advantage should be accepted. The scaring the keeper technique worked against Fabianski but fails on most regular premiership keepers. I kept singing when the dummer started up and it seemed those around me did. Why should him providing a louder beat affect your singing/chanting? The drummer was useful in those moments of silence where nobody dare make a sound and then he wakes you up. Although my mate sat the row behind him for the brum game and said he really did his head in
  20. Much like yourself as i understand it! MGP does a good job of opening up defences normally, just a really long dry spell.
  21. Benni had been desperate for a transfer away from Porto to the premiership for 2 seasons. His last season at Porto he hardly put the effort in and wasn't rewarded. I don't think that means he is on a downward spiral, just that he needs motivation and his goal record for us proves that even further. I am over the moon that South Africa don't want him in their squad, we would be a much poorer team without him and his goals.
  22. How can it have paid off if he was/is past his best? Benni is 30, hardly old for a striker. Chelsea wouldn't have been looking to splash the cash on him if he was that bad. I'd hate to hear what your going to say about Tugay or Brad if you think Benni is past it.
