  1. Staying just outside frankfurt, 8th til 23rd! Going to T&T vs Paraguay
  2. I have always been an emerton fan, his stats are always the best from any rovers player. He may not always look the most confident but he most definately has a role to play for us. With reidy looking more and more a CM with real venom. That leaves Bentley and Emerton for the right spot and i am yet to be convinced by Bentley. He is good at the AM role but as RM he doesn't give us the ability to cross that Brett does. Out of all our options i prefer Lucas as the RM but he is so valuable in defence we can't afford to move him further forward.
  3. I just don't fancy being stabbed
  4. What a performance, well deserved 3 points and as Jose says we are a team who deserves european football. God knows how we didn't give a pen away but still the ref missed a blatent 2nd yellow for geremi. Delighted that we have come good again when the pressure was really on and punished noblob and nukecastle for slip ups. Caps a fantastic week, Bye Bye Brummies, hello Europe!!!! Mark Hughes is a Genius!
  5. Europe Here We Come, Europe Europe Here We Come! We're all going on a European Tour, a european tour! Somewhere hot and not turkey would be nice.
  6. With no Terry, Drogba, Makelelelelelelele and Essien. we have a decent chance but the players coming in will be fighting for their places so it could backfire. Equally the loss of nelsen is massive for us but it seems like lucas will play CB. I would love to see gally given a run out today. We have a very good chance to beat them but we have to play aswell as we did on saturday and take any chances we get!
  7. You must be joking, for some reason they seem intent on saving bruce's job, maybe something to do with the big payoff! "we had 40% of our team injured" but you know big teams should be able to deal with small issues like that.
  8. England under fat sam would be awful. He has got no room to buy in cheap foreign imports and can pick Davies and Nolan for every game, play 4-5-1 and get away with ruining the national game. I'd rather have pearce in charge and he hasn't had a fantastic run of late.
  9. I would have lennon in that squad, on form better than SWP and is playing very well week in week out for spuds, whilst SWP isn't playing at all. Glad to hear rooney will play some reole for us, right decision by sven.
  10. I'm suprised Mr Bruce hasn't handed in his resignation this morning, maybe he is out with pennant getting p'd.
  11. If both of them can be fit for the second round onwards then i would take them and risk it, rather than take ashton or bent in their place and weaken the team unit. Looks like owen is fine anyway, he just needs a couple of outings which he should get and then we will be jsut talking about rooney as a doubt. (touch wood)
  12. You have got a wide choice! Spurs, Liverpool, Noblob.
  13. 0-0 vs nuke and pompey winning 2-1 with wigan down to 10!!! Bye Bye Big Club, Big Club Bye Bye F£$£ $** to the championship Come on Pompey!
  14. Didn't see anything wrong from the first few angles and then from behind it looks awful. Very bad for Roon, hope he is back asap either way it badly damages englands world cup campaign that he can't play the last couple of games and maybe warmups/start of cup.
  15. We are doomed then! We need to massively up our game from the past few. Hopefully the return of tugay will help that! (if he plays)
  16. Surely it comes down to who is going to give the english team the best chance of winning a major tournament, their nationality is not important. If, as there is at the moment, no english manager is good enough to take the job why give it to one just because they are english. It makes sense to give it to the man who can bring the best out of the players and win tournaments. We can't pick goofy but we have roonaldo anyway, this is a fantastic group of players that deserves the best manager the FA can get, whether he be british, mexican or plutonian. When sven said he was leaving my first thoughts where to an english manager but there are none that fill me with any hope of success, who knows maybe McLaren is the next big thing, but for me the best qualified man should always be getting the national job and nationality should play a very minor role.
  17. We may aswell employ Shearer now or go for a 16 year old who they can dig little dirt on (maybe he didn't do his homework once or twice). The media seem intent on wrecking every chance of getting a decent manager and making ti work for england. The english team we currently have is the best we will have for a while and it makes sense to employ the best international manager, with proven record at that level, to guide them. But i guess we wil have to make do with some second rate british manager who knows sweet fa about international management.
  18. i know the press want to destroy the english team so that they can moan as always but the guy hadn't even got the job.
  19. I think he is just annoyed that England didn't employ Bruce as if he sacks him the payoff is pretty high. Very happy if big phil accepts the job and all credit to the FA for ignoring all the pressure and going for the best man by far.
  20. couldn't agree more, after missing the teams being read out i was trying to figure out if he was playing Kuqi, Dickov or Pong up front. Gave up in the end. Hughes probably got the defensive call right, Gray has not looked strong defensively and pennant would have had him for breakfast. After the worst first half i have seen in a long time, in which we were lucky to go in all square the second was ours all the way until they scored. Fantastic play to get us back into the game and then we really should have made our posession pay off and sealed the game. Big Club Going Down, Big Club Big Club Going Down! Just need to get my voice back now
  21. Shame i have already paid my £30 per ticket I have no confidence in our form or the ref! 0-0?
  22. It was great, billie looking stunning as ever. The story flowed very well for the first 30mins, i was shocked it was coming to an end and left with baited breath for next weeks installment. Tennant fitted in to the role extremely well and has created his own doctor type already.
  23. It tends to be the case that in the big games where you need the decisions you get sweet fa, yet in the crappy games where you are 3-0 up/down you get a dodgy penalty and then the pundits match 2 totally uncomparible decisions together. Today for example they said that the wigan decision earned us a point and that has lost us a point, however it would have created a different game with liverpool pressing for the goal, whereas against wigan we were going for it and the match was played out as it should have been until the last. As far as offside is concerned if cisse is inaceive there then only a touch can be active and a player standing right in front of the keeper blocking his view has to be deemed inactive.
  24. The goal shouldn't have been therefore we deserve to go in at 0-0! Regardless of the fact we look like jon stead trying to hit a barn door for 90mins. 1 decision cost us and it won't be the last time i say that. Bring back the old offside law, forget active and inactive! Bye bye 4th and 5th hello 6th (fingers crossed)
  25. Appalling reffing, assistant included in that and the commentating is so liverpool biased it's untrue. We deserve to go in even, neither team playing well. 2nd half subs for me: Dickov off for Kuqi Bentley for Emerton MGP for Peter Things can only get better, lets hope the ref can aswell, disgrace!
