With Barry Bannon gone this should be an easier game but…… -

I don’t believe many Rovers fans expected anything other than a defeat today considering the players available and Ipswich’s current form. However, the performance underlined that without winning our more winnable games (rapidly running out) we are going to struggle to reach the magical 50 points or so. Personally I would have shut up shop by playing a 451 formation with players doing nothing other than spoiling the game. Cantwell and Baradji didn’t really fit that tactic. -

Sometimes I think I watch a different game to some on this board. Baradji is a quality footballer who is getting to grips with recovering from injury and playing with some of the dross we signed in the summer. If he is being made permanent then bravo to whoever is making that decision. -

We need Alebiosu to stay at least until the summer regardless of how much money we are offered now. -

Clearly VI obviously does not rate Gueye and has no intention of starting him but maybe the training issue is being used to avoid selecting him. If of course Gueye has downed tools then that is poor on his part. He needs to be proving to the coaching team that he deserves to be selected. We could certainly do with all the fit and willing strikers we can get as relying on Ohashi and Gudjohnssen has proved to be an issue -

Surely the fact that ticket sales are outsourced to Ticketmaster should not require any Rovers staff to be involved. I guess most Rovers fans planning to go to Sheffield will have bought tickets in good time but many will have been undecided. Another massive own goal for the club. -

A lot of Rovers fans will be wanting to go to this game with many making a last minute decision. It seems that both clubs are unwilling to be flexible enough to accommodate them. i don’t understand why they can’t be available online. Surely Ticketmaster doesn’t shut down for Xmas! -

Off topic but I believe that Sheffield Wednesday tickets are on sale until close of business today with no tickets for sale on the day. Not sure why they can’t still be available online over Xmas. Or have I misread the X posting yesterday? -

What’s the ball ache in downloading a ticket to a phone. Millions of folk are doing it every day. No more difficult than signing up for TV apps. If you think that digital is going away then you need to think again. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Uddersfelt Blue replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It would be useful for the coalition to undertake some research into how many fans are prepared to return. That may be quite difficult but key information for any potential buyer. As a minimum we should be looking at figures in the region of 15000 home fans in the Championship. Is that achievable? -

Uddersfelt Blue replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
So essentially the viability of the club needs to be demonstrated to a potential buyer. That would require all fans to show their intentions to continue/recommence attending matches (as Wednesday’s fans have) once new owners/administrators came in. Do we have that depth of potential support willing to back the club? -

Hypothetically speaking. Venkys decide to throw the towel in and put us up for sale but no one is interested in taking us on? What then? Do they continue to fund us or let us slip into administration which could be disastrous for employees? -
v Millwall (h) - 20/12/25
Uddersfelt Blue replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I’m not talking about not attending. Lots of fans never attend but want the team to succeed. Surely all Rovers fans want that? -
v Millwall (h) - 20/12/25
Uddersfelt Blue replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
You’re damn right we need to start winning. The battle against the owners shouldn’t detract from the fact that we want the team to do well. Anyone who doesn’t can’t really call themselves a fan and may as well toddle off and support someone else. -
v Oxford United (h) - 09/12/25
Uddersfelt Blue replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I also made the decision not to go last night after Saturday’s fiasco and getting so pissed wet through that I was still drying out yesterday! Part of that decision was mitigated by the fact that I could watch on TV and suspect there are thousands of others doing the same each game. Whilst the club are benefitting from the increased TV money it does have a negative impact on attendances. Probably the worst that could have happened to a club like Rovers but good for those who don’t attend. The fans who want to be at Ewood supporting the team (and there are a lot on the evidence if the Derby attendance) desperately need something positive to make it worthwhile their effort. I’ll be there for the Millwall game (pitch permitting) -
v Oxford United (h) - 09/12/25
Uddersfelt Blue replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The pitch was OK on Saturday it was the amount of water on it that caused the abandonment. As long as the water has drained away I don’t think there will be a problem. But then I’m not a groundsman LOL -
v Oxford United (h) - 09/12/25
Uddersfelt Blue replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Well said VI. Without a plan or anyone taking responsibility for resolving the problem we will be in serious trouble. If the game against Oxford gets abandoned I’m pretty sure we will be made to play elsewhere by the EFL. Tomorrow, for only the second time in the last few seasons, I won’t be making the 100 miles round trip to Ewood. Saturday’s fiasco has contributed to my decision as I’m not prepared to battle through traffic on the M62/M66 in the vain hope that we will finish a match. -

Given the current situation and the awful weather we are having what do you expect to happen? Postpone all home games? Play them all away? I believe It was known that a full pitch rebuild was not done when the stitch pitch was laid presumably for cost reasons. The current situation is not ideal and needs addressing but that will have to be done in the summer. Of course we aren’t happy with the owners and stooges but it’s not going to get them out of the club I’m afraid -

Uddersfelt Blue replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The biggest concern is for the fans who are turning up in atrocious weather to cheer the team on and having to trudge home (some long distances) in the same conditions. They deserve medals. Those who don’t attend matches really don’t have a clue how it feels but guess they are happy to criticise the club in this unfortunate situation. I pray that our luck (and the weather) changes soon and we begin to get the results that some of our performances deserve. -
v Sheffield Wednesday (h) - 06/12/25
Uddersfelt Blue replied to Elrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Fair comment JHR. i suspect the club have been reluctant to spend vast sums of money on the pitch that up to this season had been pretty reliable (can’t think of the last time a game was abandoned). Even in the Premier League we had the odd postponement e.g. Wimbledon. However, despite being extremely unlucky with the weather, we are now a laughing stock and will come under close scrutiny from the authorities who will want assurances that something will be done by next season. As an aside, I thought we the pitch was doing us no favours when the game was called off and Wednesday could have snatched a point or three due to the unpredictability of some of the passing. We had also lost a couple of key players. -

Extremely disappointing (once again) to be coming away from Ewood piss wet through with no points despite being in a winning position. Once again, a lot of rain fell this afternoon and it’s obvious to everyone that the drainage system could not handle it. However, realistically, what could have been done to prevent this happening again. It’s not like there can be a complete overhaul of the pitch until the summer. The EFL have no other option but to order a replay as per Ipswich but may decide to give the club an ultimatum that could include sanctions if the problems with the pitch are not addressed by next season. -
