  1. From the official site
  2. Phil, I'm amazed as to how many times you bring the government into this. You must have a hard time getting through life with a complex like that.
  3. Last nights attendance doesn't really tell the whole story. OK, prices were cheap = poor gate. However against Bolton prices were cheap = good gate. It's down to more than merely prices. Other factors come into it.
  4. We got very lucky last night. IMO, if Basel had scored first, we wouldn't have won - and they certainly should have scored first. They caught us cold. Second half performance was very good though, so all in all a very happy bunny here. A manager, chairman and team who want to win in ALL competitions. I keep having to pinch myself and thinking that I could have been a North ender! Felt a bit sorry for Basel, I didn't think they deserved that scoreline, plus their sponsor is a bit close to my heart.
  5. The only other slight difference Tris, was that the Salzburg game was a "winner goes into the group stage game". Last night was a group game, not quite the same appeal.
  6. Care to explain how that would work?
  7. More tax on petrol then? I'll bet somewhere along the line, you've complained about that.
  8. Looks like I'm in the minority here. The argument "would you rather have another player, or a new stand" will always be there. Fans will always want a new player first. Some time or other, rovers are going to have to replace the riverside. Might as well start looking again for investment - now.
  9. You just wiped out a report from the chief economist from the world bank and 95% of the worlds scientists in one swipe. What are you doing posting on here? Royal society Take a look, then come back on what they have to say. - and before you ask, this is who they are.
  10. The earths warming/cooling periods take tens of thousands of years. Stern says if we don't act very soon, the earths temp has a more than 75% chance of rising by 2 or 3 degrees in the next 50 years. That would be quite awesome in it's effect on the Earth as the BBC link explains. The comments from some people that this is happening now anyway and can't be stopped, are way off the mark - according to the worlds top scientists. Financially Stern is working out that to do something now, will make much more economic sense than hoping Global warming will disappear. BBC report
  11. Carry on guys, it's all very convincing stuff. It should get better as we go.
  12. Both sides cheating, then both managers criticising the referee. Childish.
  13. Reading it again, it doesn't. I'm just trying to point out, that when clubs the size of Man City are losing fans by the thousand, we're all in trouble. City could have sold as many tickets in the old third div [cause they were always sold out at 32000], as they are currently doing in the prem.
  14. We must try to avoid yellow/red cards in this game. With our weakened squad, the last thing we need are suspensions for the Feyenoord game. Anyone know the euro booking count?
  15. Good post Cap'n. Hopefully the start of something big.
  16. Do you have one?
  17. Yeah I know. I'm not very good at getting a point across on here. It's not only rovers is it? So why do we have this complex about OUR gates?
  18. I keep going on about it I know, but Man city had 37000 on last night. The stadium holds around 48000ish? Their average away following has dropped to around 2000. City had 32000 [capacity] regularly in the old third division, so what's behind their sudden fall?
  19. Feyenoord ticket details I'm a little surprised that there are 1000 fans who went to the two away games to date. That only leaves 1500 tickets for everyone else. That stadium must be the one at Rotherham. Grooby again!
  20. Skyscanner Have a look round Eddie. Gatwick flights for around £60 return.
  21. Brilliant again Bob. Rotherham Love the piccy of the new space age Feyenoord stadium. Magnificent.
  22. The flight that I'm on from Manchester to Amsterdam, on the wed morning at 6:40 am, is now going for free. Just find a return flight to suit and you've cracked it. Jet2go.com
  23. Savage available, Morten and Nonda still doubtful. Rovers official site
