  1. The flight that I'm on from Manchester to Amsterdam, on the wed morning at 6:40 am, is now going for free. Just find a return flight to suit and you've cracked it. Jet2go.com
  2. Savage available, Morten and Nonda still doubtful. Rovers official site
  3. You misunderstand me JBN. We do have a squad of quality players, no argument there. We have a GREAT squad of players considering the size of the town and the finances available. Those finances have been used wisely by Hughes. The point I'm making is this: should we have a small squad that will suffer tremendously when long term injuries arrive, or should we have a bigger squad of players who aren't in the same league as some of the players already here, but could possibly ride the injury situation a bit better? It's no good us complaining that the present squad isn't big enough, we don't have the finances to have two squads of prem quality.
  4. Subs: Brown, Henchoz, Jeffers, Gallagher, McEveley. It could be argued that none of the subs are up to Prem football. That shows the lack of depth in the squad. It is a decision that a manager has to make though, especially at Blackburn where the funds don't allow for a large squad of prem quality players. Does the manager spend the cash on a limited number of class players and hope for an injury free season, or does he go for a squad of greater depth without the real quality? The ideal is to harness a group of players that can hack it with the best and bolster that with a stream of good youngsters. That second bit isn't working though and probably never will. Personally, I reckon that a team must have quality in the prem even if it means having an alarmingly small squad. Without that initial quality, you will go down anyhow.
  5. I suspect we wont see Gray in a rovers shirt again. 2-0 down and he's replaced by another left back. I think that says it all really.
  6. I am just going outside and may be some time
  7. Roberts expected to be out for "several months".
  8. Roberts out long term with broken metatarsil.
  9. Must admit it reminds me of the rovers of old - every time WH break, they could score. The injury situation we have, along with our general lack of ideas, is making west ham look great.
  10. How did you work that out Hasta? I said that Emerton was out. P.S. hope Emertons' hamstring injury doesn't keep him out of Thursdays' game.
  11. WEST HAM: Green, Gabbidon, Ferdinand, McCartney, Sheringham, Etherington, Benayoun, Mullins, Spector, Reo-Coker, Zamora. Subs: Carroll, Dailly, Harewood, Mascherano, Bowyer. ROVERS: Friedel, Neill ©, Ooijer, Khizanishvili, Gray, Bentley, Mokoena, Tugay, Peter, Roberts, McCarthy. Subs: Brown (GK), Henchoz, Jeffers, Gallagher, McEveley.
  12. Emerton, Pedersen and Nonda out. Gray, Peter and Roberts in.
  13. Yeah. I'm bloomin' sure that Grooby changed it.
  14. One thing that has affected gates over the last thirty years, is the fact that prices have stopped people watching more than just their own team. Years ago, I used to watch rovers one Saturday, then went with my mate to watch PNE the next. Imagine having to shed out another £25 to watch someone elses team.
  15. UEFA.com Fuller story from Teamtalk
  16. He's becoming our best player. He's got more confidence in himself, he's starting to pick out the right pass [that was his biggest weakness - used to do well then play totally the wrong ball] and he has a purpose now that he's finding his best position, which is out on the right. Although to be fair, he did well centre mid, last night.
  17. Really? You sure Stu?
  18. I agree that rovers seem to have their own bunch of people who seem to want the rovers fans reputations dragged into the gutter. What I/we don't want is "another" debate about racism in general, on the messageboard. There's more than enough of it on ICBINF. [that's my opinion, not necessarily that of anyone else].
  19. Two main differences tonight: 1 Chelseas two goals were of real quality. We didn't have that. 2 The substitutions - we were weakened by ours. They were strengthened by theirs. That says everything about the current Chelsea squad.
  20. Hey guys, this is a football thread. If there's something you want to say about the incident in the Krakow game, then fair enough. Let's give the general racism debate a rest eh?
  21. Tony Cascarino on "youre on sky sports" said Wham could beat us because "Blackburn aren't many places above Wham" Hell fire, they are second from bottom with 5 points.
  22. Don't get carried away Prestonwhite. Remember, last season you finished below us, - there's a long way to go yet. Chances are you'll still be below us.
