  1. I think you'll find that throughout the late 60s/70s/80s, in fact throughout almost the entire history of our two clubs, Burnley have trailed on all accounts. Having said that, I wouldn't like to fall out with C.C, she's one of the better Burnley fans that are brave enough to come on here and face the unwarranted abuse.

    Semi Final

Break it gently? I'd have to tell her with a tin hat on [on me]. What do you intend to do about sleep? You know how to treat your woman well. BTW, thanks for the invite, but at the moment, we're booked in a hotel in Cardiff on the Friday and Saturday nights. Paul's dog sitting for me.

    Semi Final

21st May. The day after I fly out to Barcelona.
  10. "absolutely hammered us"? The best team won MattyM
  11. We do it over here at concerts and sporting events all of the time. Harder to reach you to be pushed over. If anything, standing in front of a seat is safer, as it stops the "crowd push" that you see happen. The only instances of crowd injuries/deaths over here that I know of were because of "festival" standing, i.e. no seats to stand in front of. Heck, you can be hit by a scoreboard beam, but they haven't banned those (yet). I've been pushed from behind into the front seats - believe me, it hurts. "Heck, you can be hit by a scoreboard beam, but they haven't banned those (yet)." You've got a great memory. You knew it was me below that?
  12. Apparently Leicester have signed Aston Villas' Stefan Moore on loan and he could play against Rovers Link
  13. Forgive me for not reading the entire post Amanda, but just to take you up on one, but important point. You say standing in front of a seat is not dangerous. If you've ever been pushed from behind, while standing up, you will know that it's VERY dangerous. You don't have time to move your feet, so you fall over the front seat. How or where you land is purely down to luck. One thing for sure, you can easily break a leg - or worse. The debate about standing areas is a valid one [although I wouldn't want that], but you're misguided about the standing in front of the seats argument.
  14. Thanks Colin and Barry. A lot of work gone into that and it's appreciated. Well done guys.
  15. Good post Jim. I did start a new topic a while ago about the way the focus of the top English sides has changed over recent years. I don't think anyone took in what I was really trying to say [my fault]. I was trying to stress how the top clubs now, are more than willing to see the demise of all the other premiership sides. Chelsea would be more than happy to see Arsenal, Man U, Blackburn, or any other club go to the wall, in order to enhance their chances of competing regularly in the Champions league. They aren't interested in any other competition. The same goes for Arsenal and Man U. It wasn't always like that, but it is now. I am pretty certain, the only reason they play in the Prem, is to gain access to Europe. Otherwise they'd be off. That's partly why, I find it difficult to support those English sides when they do play in the C.L.
  16. Ian Walker - The pest is the threat
  17. Sorry it's late folks, our man in Hav - er, Ingleton, Alan 75 has gone missing. waits for cheers to die down It's therefore, all a bit rushed. Anyway, a couple of links for you. Leicester City official site Leicester supporters site The Fox Special page of The FA.com I know it's been done to death on another thread, but the fans can make all the difference here. If the rovers fans can make a significant contribution, it should ease the way to the semi's. Leicester shouldn't be too big an obstacle, but how often have we said that before? Over to the discussion.
  18. I don't remember any rovers fans bringing up this gap thing. Rovers a worse side than 5 years ago? I assume that you mean when we played you in the first division. Now how would you compare us, then and now? You're judging the whole thing over two cup games?
  19. Strange you Burnley fans keep bringing the "gap is closing" bit up. Do you honestly believe Burnley are not far off being a team that could finish 14th in the Prem? Believe me, you would struggle to win a game with the team you've got.
  20. 10900. More proof that lower ticket prices, doesn't necessarily mean higher attendances.

    Where Are You?

Where are you? Just a few days have passed since Blackburn Rovers sold 22000 tickets for the F.A. cup replay against Burnley. Sources have told us at BRFCS.com that ticket sales for the quarter final tie against Leicester are sluggish. It's the opinion of everyone involved in the running of this site, that the fans, in this instance, are letting Blackburn Rovers down, big time. The club needs the support of each and every Rovers fan. Please, Please back your club. Get on the phone or get down to the ticket office as soon as you possibly can. A semi-final place awaits the winner. Not since we actually played in the cup final of 1960, have we had a better chance to get to there again. Show the club, the players, the country, that we really care about our football club. Buy a ticket and support YOUR team.
  22. Agree 100% there with you mate! I think he should play as a defensive midfielder. He just needs to improve his passing and distribution of the ball and thats it! I don't remember Mokoena giving the ball away at all yesterday. How can he improve on that? I was very impressed and wouldn't be surprised to see him play there more often, maybe at Old Trafford and Anfield.
  23. I have a feeling that, if Gresko can regain his fitness, he could be the answer to the left back spot. After all, Hughes had turned around the defensive side of our team before the signing of Nelsen or Mokoena. Defendings all about discipline and concentration.
  24. Dickov's injury isn't serious and he will be fit for Sunday. I think we'll be back to 4-4-2.
  25. That was because their back four and midfield had got tired of being tackled.
