    Semi Final

rumour on the reserves tonight, is 12000 tickets sold.
  4. Great preview Jim. I'm surprised you found the time. Congratulations and good luck for Friday, have a great day. Thanks to Danny also
  5. Do you mean that? I mean, he may have had a poor game but don't you think that what he's shown so far indicates that he has the potential. Well I dont really want to get into the Pedersen thing after a good day out, but yes I mean it. He really is slow and his contributions in open play have been minimal. Today, he couldn't beat his man and gave the ball away frustratingly. As for potential - what's that. It's something 16 year olds have isn't it? In the main, you're either good enough, or your not. There are a few exceptions to that, but not many.
  6. Got home 45 mins ago. Passing all the cockneys getting out of their 4x4s, talking about the motorway jams, on the way up to O.T. The P.A. guy asking for mister somebody from DARTMOUTH to go to the ticket office. Bloody DARTMOUTH! Plenty of families having their photo's taken outside the ground - why? because they haven't been before. I hate the whole thing about Man United. Anyway, we could have been 5 down at half time - but we weren't. Thomo nearly gave 'em a goal inside the first minute. He had an awful game. He doesn't seem to be able to run nowadays. Second half, we had it sorted. It reminded me of the recent performance at Anfield - I never felt as though they would score. Now it's a long time since I've felt like that anywhere, never mind Liverpool and Manchester. Stead ran his heart out, but the ball didn't stick much. Thomo was poor throughout. Pedersen likewise - poor. He doesn't have the urgency or pace to succeed at this level. Reid was excellent again - good touch, strong, quick, can tackle and a great engine. Todd and especially Nelsen were superb. Mokoena gives them both great cover, along with a bit of composure. All in all, a good day and a good result. Brilliant to hear those mancs moaning about Roy Keanes' lack of pace and Van Nistelroy's poor performance. This rovers side, as Hughes says, takes a bit of beating nowadays.
  7. Our Paul, making 'em 'ave it!
  8. I've pm'd you M.B.
  9. Chelsea have been fined £33,300 and Mourinnho fined £9000 and given a two match touchline ban. The two Chelsea officials have been reprimanded.
  10. OK Phil. If you and AESF blame the rape of a young girl on Tony Blair, then you'll never find a party worth voting for. Having said that, AESF must have been voting for mass murderers all his life. Millions were murdered under the tories. [and the greens]
  11. but you see Phil, you certainly have some very serious political views. On the other hand, you can't find a political party that represents your views. I think you're playing a game. You want to criticise fiercely on the one hand, but don't want to put forward anything that you believe in, in order to avoid criticism yourself. Nothing personal Phil.
  12. So you don't vote, Phil. That isn't gonna get much of what you don't like, changed - is it? If you do vote, tell us who you vote for. Instead of simply criticising, put something, or some party forward to represent your views.
  13. I certainly wouldn't hold him responsible for the rape of that young girl. As for crime, who would your choice of government be? I don't expect a straight reply.
  14. God forbid that AESF would try to link two totally unconnected events in a sensationalist article to make a political point Den. He's just a friend of the people don't you know. Never crossed me mind Scotty. Honest.
  15. Oh fair enough AESF. There was me thinking you were blaming Tony Blair for not preventing the rape of a young girl.

I reckon they would sell 30000 tickets Abbey. As would rovers, if we had been a nationwide club. EDIT: in fact, as a lower league club, we DID take 30000 to Wembley, for the full members cup final. Well 28000 to be precise.

It might be worth a look. I'm just thinking about letting the Mancs and Geordies have the City centre to theirselves on the Sat night!

I realised it had been re-developed, I was wondering if it was the kind of place to have a meal and a few beers, or is it mainly commercial?

    Semi Final

Me Baz and the Mrs will be there friday and Saturday. We were thinking about going down to Cardiff bay on sat night - anyone know if it's any good?
  23. Why is it always seen as criticism, when someone thinks a player might not be good enough? Pedersen has qualities, no doubt. Most of them from a dead ball, but his all round play leaves a lot of room for improvement. If he can't improve there, he wont make it - in my humble opinion. A lot of folk think he's already there.
  24. I would say he's slow. It looks like I'm the only one on here, who isn't convinced he's good enough.
