Where are you? Just a few days have passed since Blackburn Rovers sold 22000 tickets for the F.A. cup replay against Burnley. Sources have told us at BRFCS.com that ticket sales for the quarter final tie against Leicester are sluggish. It's the opinion of everyone involved in the running of this site, that the fans, in this instance, are letting Blackburn Rovers down, big time. The club needs the support of each and every Rovers fan. Please, Please back your club. Get on the phone or get down to the ticket office as soon as you possibly can. A semi-final place awaits the winner. Not since we actually played in the cup final of 1960, have we had a better chance to get to there again. Show the club, the players, the country, that we really care about our football club. Buy a ticket and support YOUR team.

Agree 100% there with you mate! I think he should play as a defensive midfielder. He just needs to improve his passing and distribution of the ball and thats it! I don't remember Mokoena giving the ball away at all yesterday. How can he improve on that? I was very impressed and wouldn't be surprised to see him play there more often, maybe at Old Trafford and Anfield.

[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
den replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I have a feeling that, if Gresko can regain his fitness, he could be the answer to the left back spot. After all, Hughes had turned around the defensive side of our team before the signing of Nelsen or Mokoena. Defendings all about discipline and concentration. -
Dickov's injury isn't serious and he will be fit for Sunday. I think we'll be back to 4-4-2.
-
That was because their back four and midfield had got tired of being tackled.
-
I was at Goodison for the game that we won 3-2. Alan Bradshaw did indeed score two goals and I think Duggie got the other. We came back from 2 down as well. What a team. As for todays game, brilliant performance. Not one weak performance anywhere. Moyes couldn't fathom what had happened to cause his side to play under par. I can explain in two words - Blackburn Rovers. As Hughes said after the match, not many sides would have beaten rovers today. For the first real time this season, I never felt as though we were going to concede. Earlier this season, Everton would have made a host of chances against us, just shows how things have turned around. Credit to everybody.

Team announced: Friedel Neill Todd Nelsen Nissa Reid Flitty Mokoena Thomo Dickov Pedersen

We're bound to lose ground when we don't play. 4 points above the relegation zone with 2 games in hand over most of the sides around us. The players need to keep their cool, and bag a few more clean sheets.

What I meant Capt, was that I can't see where anyone who criticised the arrangements for the Burnley tickets, should apologise. My view was that it was always unacceptable. - Meaning that there are always ways of improving service and that standard of service, expecting people to wait for 90 mins to be answered on the phone, wasn't on. service can always be improved, it's just a matter of addressing it rather than accepting it.

Kindly provide some quotes and a source to go with your nonsensical mutterings. (PS ... at least yeast is a living organism - what remains between your own ears obviously ceased all activity some time ago) On radio 30 minutes ago, talking about the delay in setting the date for the Leicester game, JW said " The delay gives us effectively one day less to sell the tickets. However, we should be able to cope. We have learned from the mistakes when selling the Burnley tickets. We've learned the problems of the ticket office opening hours, the inclement weather [i'm not sure what he means there, maybe the fact that thousands of people had to queue in the freezing cold, or maybe the weather caused technical problems] and this time the season ticket holders will have their own window" So there were mistakes made last time. The biggest one, was putting over 20000 tickets on sale from day one, causing tremendous queues on the phones and at the ticket office. This isn't stamping feet and shouting from the hill tops to complain about the club, simply the recognition that the way it was done last time was unacceptable. Well done JW for recognising that. Can't see where anyone should apologise there.

Don't know, but when I was a teenager, I could get drunk and call for fish and chips on the way home, all for ten bob. [50p].

He wont be charged for his antics at Cardiff. Reckon Souey will be wondering about that one.
-
It's far worse than that. If Dickov and Gallagher start, it's the worst attack in the Premiership. It's not even the best in the nationwide.
-
The yawning chasm is between the top three and the rest of English football. The rest are much of a muchness. Of all the teams we've faced at the Turf this season, Rovers and Villa had two of the least threatening forward lines. Dickov, Gallagher and Bothroyd. They're just dross however much you pay 'em and however much you believe that the Premiership is the best in the world. You would think the three promoted sides would find it easy to stay up then?

LET Clarets "In the meantime, they take solace in the fact these two gripping FA Cup ties have proved one thing - the gap between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers is narrowing. Not that long ago, these two famous old clubs were poles apart and heading in the opposite direction. Not any more." Seems to be universal among the Burnley faithful, that they're closing the gap.

thought it was hilarious.

Graham Liver is having a great time on his show. Chuckling away about not showing Micca Hydes' goal at half time.
-
Emerton left Ewood hobbling badly, last night, so must be a doubt. As much as some will cheer, we need to steer clear of any long term injuries. I expect Reid will come in, if Emo doesn't make it. The last few games when reid has come on, we have looked far more threatening.
-
We too had injuries and suspensions, but that's not an excuse. The truth is longsider, that we don't have any quality up front. The previous managers' decision to give our best striker away is costing us this season. There is cash in the bank to sort something out in the summer. though. As for why couldn't we deal more easily with seeing off Burnley, well it wasn't as though you ever looked like scoring, never mind winning. So although we played poorly, I wouldn't say we were ever threatened. That's where I think your manager got it wrong. You might have only one striker fit, but that shouldn't stop you from being a bit more positive. You still had 11 players out there, you should have pushed more of them forward in support of the front man.
