Sorry Rev, Hughes referred to Todd - not the club. I'll edit my post.
-
On local radio this morning, Mark Hughes said that rovers were so upset by the southern based press condemnation of Andy Todd, that the club were considering litigation.

And to finish off the happy bit - How lucky are we, to support rovers. I could have been a PNE, Burnley or Blackpool fan. There's loads of 'em round here. Just imagine what the last 20 years would have been like. I'd have missed my team: winning the Premier league title, winning the full members cup, winning the Worthington cup, finishing in the playoffs three seasons in succession, winning the first division play off final at Wembley, Playing in the European cup, playing in the UEFA cup, playing at Wembley in the charity shield, watching the best striker ever seen in my time watching football, playing for rovers. It could have been a lot worse, couldn't it. I could have supported one the aforementioned clubs and seen - nothing -

I think your assessment of Pedersen is harsh Den. He's won us numerous points with crucial goals/moments of inspiration this season. Yes his all round play could sometimes be better. But he's one of those players that currently you daren't leave out or take off because he's always likely to win you the game with a flash of inspiration. He is only young and I'm sure his contribution over 90 minutes will improve as he gets older. Was thinking about this the other day. Whilst he is nowhere near as good a player (yet) I bet his goals return compares quite favourably to Duff. Of course, if he continues to score goals he will keep his place next season. If however the goals dry up in the second season, as they sometimes do, especially playing out wide, then IMO he wont have the game to keep him in the side. Would love to be wrong. Anyway, it's no time to be complaining. I've not felt as happy about rovers for a long time. We can turn up on Saturday not worrying about our, or anyone else's results. Roll on the summer and team strengthening. -
Blackburn Rovers' Andy Todd, has been cleared of a violent conduct charge. Todd had been charged by the F.A. after an alleged clash with Arsenal's Van Persie. The football association found the offence "not proven". Todd, who has been an inspirational figure in Rovers revival under Mark Hughes and his backroom staff, will be available for the remaining fixtures. I've been saying Matteo is underrated, whilst pedersen is overrated, for a long time now. Matteo, defensively is excellent [and that's what we needed]. As for pedersen, yes he's scored some great goals and shows good skills with a dead ball. His all round game though, is well below par. He can't beat a man and he's dead slow. Gives the ball away a lot as well. I'm sure plenty will disagree with me? -
Fans of Blackburn Rovers are furious over the football associations decision to charge Andy Todd with violent conduct. On a 5 page thread on the BRFCS.com messageboard debate and evidence of Todd's collision seem to prove the defenders innocence. To view the discussion and read the fans opinions, Click here

Could it be our first sub - 20,000 gate? I reckon so, -
Time FA hit Todd "While the television recording of the incident may not be conclusive, it should not stop them from throwing the book at the Blackburn captain." "The fact it will be difficult for the FA to prove Todd acted with malicious intent should not stop them from punishing him." "He is not a newcomer to this kind of unacceptable behaviour. His roughhouse reputation began to take root after a fight with coach Phil Brown during his time at Bolton and his brief stay at Charlton ended after a bust-up with goalkeeper Dean Kiely. Todd's record for this kind of thing is puzzling considering his father, Colin, could actually play the game. That may be beyond Todd junior but, even so, if he wanted to curb his aggressive behaviour he could do worse than follow the example of Patrick Vieira." Incredible quotes from Thisislondon

Both clubs had sold out. I assume the empty seats were those reserved for the dignatories.

The previews this season have been excellent. It's never certain how these things will work out, but the volunteer contributions have been great, to a man. What will we do next season, I wonder? Same again or something different?
-
What about me eh? Where's my thanks? Eddie - 45 minutes ago

Although it might not appear so, there is a lot of work involved in putting these previews together. We try to give the maximum time for the pre match discussions. Therefore, when there are two games played in a week, we quite regularly put them both up at the same time. You don't have to read them until you're ready.
-
Thanks for the preview 1864. I know you've been really busy lately, it's appreciated. Anyway - sex pistols? That's not my scene and you know it. Breakdancing is the one for me. I might be doing a bit in the Talbot on Saturday night at the post match party

Thanks for the preview Eddie. Maybe the criticism following the semi final will spur on the lads. It might be the worst thing to happen to Palace. -
Got home this afternoon. Had a great weekend. Friday night in walkabout met Glenn, Gill, Paul McGarry, tris, Gav, Debs, Giddy Goat, Ginger, Bjarte and 75% of Norway Apologies to the others I'm sure to have missed out. Glenn - how did the midnight radio 5 interview go? Everything's been said about the game. It was only after the final whistle, when listening to one or two interviews, that it even occurred to me that our approach to the game was under question. The Arse fans would understandably think we were a roughhouse side, they're not used to the physical side of the game. There's nothing wrong with being physical/getting stuck in. Arsenal were aware of our recent reputation though, and milked it. As for the media response, it depends which viewpoint you're looking from. In this case it wasn't from ours. I was disappointed with the sight of 14,000 empty seats in the rovers end. That's a lot of seats. I did my bit though. To those who wanted to go but couldn't find the cash - fair enough. To those who said the same, but couldn't be arsed - you don't deserve a premiership club. On top of that, I dare say that when our best players in the future move on because of not wanting to play in an empty stadium, you will turn your back on any responsibility for that. It will be someone elses fault.

They've sold out. Not sure yet, if they've been given our unsold tickets.. -
I think this season has seen the biggest turn around in a teams performances, that I've ever seen. We've gone from being undeniably the worst defensive side in the division, to arguably the best. Don't think I've ever seen that happen before. A lot of credit has to go to hughes, the coaches and the players. If I had to put forward one reason for that happening, it would have to be the performances of Mokoena in that holding role. Without him doing that job, as well as he has, we wouldn't have been as good. Part of that is down to Hughes and part of it to luck. After all, he was bought as a centre half and wasn't quite good enough there. He was moved to his present position partly as a result of us not being able to field two effective strikers.

Me, PennyDuff and half of Norway it would seem. A little bit of Leyland will be there. Me Baz and the missus.
