  1. He couldn't drag your lot through though, could he! He isn't THAT good.
  2. I've got a torch Ozz.
  3. Ah, ---- Dunno
  4. PLANETFOOTBALL POSER by Adam Marshall - created on 10 Feb 2004 So the 4th player could have been capped since then.
  5. Hmmm, I don't remember Bryan Douglas being dropped for the "physical games". If you're good enough, you're big enough.
  6. Gotta say, the formation in the last quarter reminded me of Rovers under a certain ex-manager of ours.
  7. Not sure about that. Tait was reverse swinging it late on today.
  8. You never know what a good score is, until both sides have batted. England will only be in a good position if the Aussies don't get a first innings lead of any kind.
  9. Footballs rubbish, bring on the cricket.
  10. No, but it does say this: In a popular feature, we regularly set really taxing, teasing questions to test even the sharpest of football brains. The 80th in the series is: NAME THE FOUR UNCAPPED ENGLISHMEN WHO HAVE MOVED FOR OVER £7 MILLION (IN ONE DEAL).
  11. Why? World footballers - can't see anything wrong there.
  12. Don't know how much credence to give this, but Bellamy is back in full training and could play against Bolton.
  13. These gaps must have some bearing on the attendances. Your average part time supporter wont know when the next match is, where a few years ago you didn't need a fixture list - if rovers were away last Saturday, they are at home this Saturday. There you go, problem solved. But wait, --- in those days we were only getting 5000 supporters at Ewood.
  14. I too thought it was an excellent performance. The only comments fron Jol that I've read, show him to be doing a Mourinho - fudging the issue that spurs were an inferior team to rovers. Have to take issue with Paul. Emerton was clearly pulled back by his shirt, that was a penalty. Kuqi was still being fouled as he went into the area, another penalty.
  15. 33,000 in the stadium of light tonight, against the worlds other greatly supported club Man City. Last time the mackems came up, they were getting 45000-48000 gates at every home game. They're down 12000 to 15000 on that figure.
  16. There certainly are quite a few contributing factors, but what Ozziejones wants to know, is which is the SINGLE BIGGEST factor.
  17. We are looking for the biggest single contributing factor for the decline in attendances over the last 2 or three seasons.
  18. The right product at the right price = maximum gates. Any other variable = falling gates. Not an easy one for rovers to get right, but it's the only formula likely to succeed.
  19. Anyone else notice that the Fulham goal was offside?
  20. Just looking on the positive side of the attendance, it should be one of, if not THE, lowest attendance of the season, for a variety of reasons. The trend is very worrying though, but unless things improve on the pitch there is very little JW can do about it. Kids must be encouraged to come along though. Maybe an ISA can talk to the club about this.
  21. They were crap. I just said that diddle I?
  22. Take away absolutely superb strikes and the performance was ok - no more than that. Fulham were woeful and that should be kept in mind. There wont be many worse sides at Ewood this season. Worrying thing for me was that the first home game of the season and a couple of injuries and a couple of suspensions and we were down to the bare bones. A glimpse at the bench showed that. We might have a "big" squad, including all the professionals at the club, but there isn't an abundance of quality available outside the first 15 players. I've got to agree with 1864, I didn't think Kuqi looked up to prem standard, but I'll give him more time. He certainly plays with a big heart. Looking on the positive side - Lucas was superb today, let's hope he can perform week in, week out. Nelsen makes a huge difference to our discipline. A 17000 gate should send a message to the directors. Rovers must take the extra steps before the transfer window closes. Another season like last and £2-3m spent wisely now, might be the best money they've spent in a long time. Overall though, very pleased. 10/10 for effort.
  23. Seens to me like you've changed tack there, Vinjay. I'm sure you were arguing all this while that the walkers should put more money in. Now you say they should sell the club. Totally different argument.
  24. Looking forward to the new season now!
  25. That Trelleborg didn't go down too well. Gave me really bad indigestion.
