  1. He might have meant victory at Ewood day.
  2. They will listen when the big clubs are affected. No doubt about that whatsoever. As for the rest - tough.
  3. Anyway, going back to the Bolton game. They don't want you to play and they don't want to play themselves. You take the result and move on, simple as that. Hopefully next week we have B and B up front. Now that's something to look forward to.
  4. Ivan Campo Harpo Marx
  5. Pietersens' just ruined Richie Benauds' farewell speech. What a plonker.
  6. How can the light come into it? If England are still batting when it goes dark, the game's over anyway. If the Aussies are batting when it goes dark, they're hardly likely to accept the light. Or have I missed something?
  7. To be exact, 98 overs to be bowled in the day, or 5 pm.+15 overs.[assuming 83 overs have been bowled by 5 pm.]
  8. It still galls me to see Andy Cole doing well for man city. How the hell did we come to the decision to give him away to another premiership side? I know - get over it, deal with it, move on. Still annoys me though.
  9. Not my words Tris - Big Sams'.
  10. England should win it now. Whatever the result though, the lads have had the measure of this Australian side from the second test onwards. England have bowled better and batted better. The signs for the Aussie selectors are worrying. Unless there's some talent back in Oz that's ready to be unleashed, this side isn't going to improve beyond what they are now. This series isn't a fluke result. The chances are, that given another series, England would come out tops again.
  11. Who's looking for praise? Sam simply says that because of Savage and Reid, Bolton couldn't play anything out. That's what Savage is there for and that's what he did.
  12. Well big Sam sees the influence that Savage had on todays game, even if some of you folks can't. Big Sam
  13. Yes and long may it last.
  14. Got two tele's on in the front room. One for the footy and one for the cricket. Marvellous!
  15. 7 down now. It's totally pointless carrying on like this, they're just taking time out of the game.
  16. Australia might consider declaring at lunch, given that the light has improved. They must bowl England out, so why not start now?
  17. 6000 empty seats against Arsenal. 28000 gate in a stadium that holds 34000.
  18. Players out, suns shining. Play can go through until 7 pm.
  19. I wouldn't rule out australia levelling the scores and declaring.
  20. They'll be at least level with us by the end of today, Stu. There's going to be an almighty battle for England to draw this one. We must take wickets in the next session.
  21. If it continues to rain, it's out of the Aussies control anyway.
  22. I think the reaction to Australia taking the light is being blown out of proportion. One session of play was lost. There are still three days to play, with the forecast good. There's plenty of time there for a result, bearing in mind a lot of these games have only gone four days. If the Aussies had stayed out last night and lost 2/3 wickets, their position in this game would have been much worse.
  23. 30 minute delay. Play to start at 11 am.
  24. Umpires looking at 10:15. It's dry at the moment and there shouldn't be much of a delay. Good news?
