  1. Had some good strikers in the past, have Huddersfield. Law, Worthington and, as some rovers fans will remember, Alan Gilliver. Your mate heard of them, Modi?
  2. Steve McLaren is hitting out at the 'boro supporters this morning, after only 14191 turned out to watch their UEFA cup tie. They don't get it, do they.
  3. Just to follow that, tickets will be on sale on the day, to the Newcastle fans. NUFC
  4. I was seriously ill in 1994, lying in a bed 1/2 mile from Maine road where rovers were playing a night match. A friend of mine asked if the team could visit on their way home. They only visit children she was told.
  5. Now what happens? We win again, we win again. I'm fine thanks W.
  6. Newcastle have never won a Premiership game at Ewood Park, nor have they claimed maximum points on Blackburn turf since a 0-1 success in the old Second Division on 1 September 1990. The Toon have not cheered on a top flight victory at Blackburn for 44 years ago, since the 2-4 triumph on 29 April 1961. BBC Preview
  7. I'd be interested on what the take on this, is down at Turf Moor Sam. Same kind of feelings as rovers fans?
  8. Aw, give it a few more days of good hearted banter. M/b gold after that.
  9. He might have meant victory at Ewood day.
  10. They will listen when the big clubs are affected. No doubt about that whatsoever. As for the rest - tough.
  11. Anyway, going back to the Bolton game. They don't want you to play and they don't want to play themselves. You take the result and move on, simple as that. Hopefully next week we have B and B up front. Now that's something to look forward to.
  12. Ivan Campo Harpo Marx
  13. Pietersens' just ruined Richie Benauds' farewell speech. What a plonker.
  14. How can the light come into it? If England are still batting when it goes dark, the game's over anyway. If the Aussies are batting when it goes dark, they're hardly likely to accept the light. Or have I missed something?
  15. To be exact, 98 overs to be bowled in the day, or 5 pm.+15 overs.[assuming 83 overs have been bowled by 5 pm.]
  16. It still galls me to see Andy Cole doing well for man city. How the hell did we come to the decision to give him away to another premiership side? I know - get over it, deal with it, move on. Still annoys me though.
  17. Not my words Tris - Big Sams'.
  18. England should win it now. Whatever the result though, the lads have had the measure of this Australian side from the second test onwards. England have bowled better and batted better. The signs for the Aussie selectors are worrying. Unless there's some talent back in Oz that's ready to be unleashed, this side isn't going to improve beyond what they are now. This series isn't a fluke result. The chances are, that given another series, England would come out tops again.
  19. Who's looking for praise? Sam simply says that because of Savage and Reid, Bolton couldn't play anything out. That's what Savage is there for and that's what he did.
  20. Well big Sam sees the influence that Savage had on todays game, even if some of you folks can't. Big Sam
  21. Yes and long may it last.
  22. Got two tele's on in the front room. One for the footy and one for the cricket. Marvellous!
  23. 7 down now. It's totally pointless carrying on like this, they're just taking time out of the game.
