  1. Sorry EIT, I don't know where you're coming from. No-one asked you to get involved with a committee. Simply said if you've got some suggestions, then email them through. Nor did anyone say that you had to be an activist to have your views considered. Again, email those through. Who says we don't want "unsolicited views from committee-averse fans"? Can you point to a post that says BRISA is exclusively for it's members?
  2. There's a map Here It's behind the Albion Mill, just off Livesey Branch Road. Half way down the hill, going towards Ewood, turn left, then right into the Albion Mill car park. Waters edge is next to the canal. Is that map readable?
  3. I'm sure you will be able to join on the night.
  4. EIT, if you have ideas that help make BRISA more representative than it currently is, then contact them and put your ideas forward. That isn't meant to be a nasty reply, just a realistic suggestion. As Paul has said, we have some ideas how to widen the member base and in good time, we will put those ideas into operation. You might be surprised though, to see how BRISA already has a considerable cross section of fans. Remember, BRISA only launched just over a month ago. A lot of work went into that launch. At the moment we are trying to put all our energies into getting the right structures into place, to ensure that the right people are in the right positions so that BRISA can work as fluently as possible.
  5. Did that not answer your question?
  6. There's no conflict of interest. BRISA will endure to do it's best for ALL rovers fans, members or not. Hopefully, some people will recognise that and back us by becoming members.
  7. One thing that BRISA has already enquired about, is the relationship between the club and the Jersey trust. You wouldn't be interested in that, would you?
  8. This Thursday 17th Nov at the waters edge. 8pm.
  9. He's got bloomin' good eyesight, if he can see the North Sea from Lytham!
  10. The impression I get, is that the official supporters association had become basically, a travel club. The introduction of the season ticket membership scheme, brought in this season, simply brought forward the closure. In that sense, and we didn't know of their plans when we first contacted them, the timing of BRISA was just right. They see BRISA as a good sounding pad. They are keen to listen to any fan who cares to contact them, but in BRISA, they now have around 200 members and hopefully still growing, who they can consult on any topic they wish. It gives them a great indication of what the fans are thinking. BRISA can give the fans a great indication of what the club are thinking, becuse we will publish minutes of all meetings. The club acknowledge this.
  11. I was going to, but there's no tickets left. Anyhow, BRISA members will get their own opportunity to meet John Williams face to face.
  12. 1700 was it?
  13. Thanks to everyone who's backing BRISA. It's not just a matter of paying your money, we want your views and there's a place on BRISA where members can have input/interaction, to the whole process.
  14. Thank you. We'll do our best to keep you involved and do our best to represent everyones' views to the board of BRFC.
  15. Yes. Attendances are on the agenda. The more members BRISA has, the more it will be listened to. Join BRISA
  16. BRISA has a committment from JW to meet with their members - date to be arranged at a later date. I'm sure overseas members would be able to submit questions to him via email. Absolutely. BRISA met with JW and TF last week to lay out the guidelines for future meetings. All this information is being posted out to BRISA members soon. BRISA website
  17. Rovers were unsure about extending Tugays' contract for this season. Sign him up now for next year. Played the full 90 mins today and looked as good as he ever has.
  18. USABlue, overseas members, of which we have quite a few, will have the same input as any other member. Yes, we want ideas suggestions and thoughts on anything that affects BRFC and the fans.
  19. BRISA has a meeting in January with the club. The agenda has yet to be properly formalised, but it's probable that attendances will be on the first agenda. BRISA will be asking members for their input, to be forwarded to the club. If anyone believes that they can contribute to that discussion, or any other discussions that will take place with the club, then join BRISA. £5/year for family membership. roversisa.co.uk
  20. At what precisely?
  21. Mark Longden is a national council member on the Football supporters federation [FSF]. This is an organisation that BRISA might well join, to be able to campaign on national issues, on behalf of Rovers fans. One other thing. I hope people who have become members of BRISA just bear with us for a short while. There has been a lot of technical work going on behind the scenes over the weekend, [not by me] , in order for BRISA to function to it's utmost.
  22. Looking at the fact that almost half of the poll said Bellamy wasn't their first choice, and assuming that the first choice was McCarthy [because he was the only other player in the frame at the time], how many people would honestly swap Bellers for McCarthy now? One hand - a player who knows the prem inside out and is a superb, proven player, on the other hand - a player who is not proven at prem level? C'mon, anyone still swap?
