  1. Looks like you are Shillitto. He was named man of the match.
  2. You want 11 players who don't have passion?
  3. A brilliant defensive display. Can't understand why you would criticise him for that performance. Where did you see him voted man of the match? Neill Yardley on Radio Rovers put him head and shoulders the best defender after last nights game. Did someone else?
  4. Fair comments Jim Royle. - "Looking from outside I see that “my club” is being run by a fabulous management team, be that at boardroom level, first team level or academy level." Totally agree. I think it's fair to say, that the document doesn't, and isn't intended to represent the unanimous views of all BRISA members. What it is, is a collection of ideas taken from Rovers fans, from various sources. BRISA knows, and the club know that there is probably very little that is new. However, as has been said before, at the very least BRISA can give the answers in detail to it's members - and everyone else. Those answers will be put in front of everyone, to disect as necessary. There is much to be gained from clarifying the situation. Tom Finn has said that if even one suggestion can be taken on board, then it will have been worthwhile. We will have to see what develops. I do think your comments about amateurish drivel are a bit over the top though. I mean, we're only a group of fans trying to help. We're not a consortium of top professionals.
  5. Why would it be unlawful, if it was in his contract, Stu?
  6. Regarding Bellamy's booking, my Mrs said that it was mentioned on the tv last night, that Bellamy wasn't allowed to play against Newc anyway. They had it written into his contract. Anyone else hear that?
  7. Jansen training with Man City today, according to 5 live.
  8. Get wet when it rains? Or lousy PR?
  9. Yes, the Tramway. Superb for £3.50. Roast, 5 veggies and boiled/roast spuds. As much as you can eat. The lad with the scouse accent is the rovers fan.
  10. Went to a pub in Clevelys last week where they do a great "as much as you want to eat" buffet for £3.50. Turkey, Beef or Ham [or some of each]. The guy serving started telling us what a **** week he'd had. He'd had to work extra to cover for Christmas and the footy game he had been really looking forward to, had to be postponed. Turned out he was a rovers fan and was going to the Sunderland game. Can't be many rovers fans in Clevelys can there? Wasn't you, was it?
  11. No, it doesn't go back 20 years, it goes back 120 years. It's called rivalry. See the Burnley m/b's to get a taste for it.
  12. Strengthen our bonds with PNE? 1864, Whittle Blue, Preston Blue, Abbey or anyone else from this neck of the woods - tell him something he obviously doesn't understand!
  13. I'll settle for the result when we played 'em in the mid sixties. 3-3 at Upton Park [John Byrom hat trick] followed by a 4-1 drubbing at Ewood Park in the replay [Andy McEvoy hat trick] Bobby Moore and all. Anyone else go to Upton Park for that game?
  14. The fourth round of the FA cup, has seen Blackburn Rovers drawn away to West Ham United. You can read the fans reactions on the BRFCS messageboards HERE
  15. Stoke City/Tamworth v Barnsley/Walsall Cheltenham Town/Chester City v Newcastle United Coventry v Nuneaton Borough/Middlesbrough West Brom/Reading v Torquay/Birmingham Portsmouth v Liverpool Leicester v Southampton Bolton v Arsenal Aston Villa v Port Vale Brentford v Sunderland Manchester City v Wigan/Leeds Millwall/Everton v Chelsea Preston v Crystal Palace West Ham v Blackburn Colchester v Derby Charlton v Leyton Orient Wolves v Burton/Manchester United
  16. I don't think the fans stay away from these games because rovers are likely to walk over these sides. More likely the romance of the cup has gone for good. Gone are the days when a team from ANY division could make real inroads and possibly even WIN the cup. Everyone knows that if and when the big boys take it seriously, no-one else can get anywhere near winning it. To 95% of clubs, the competition is dead. That's sad. My first experience of Ewood was in a FA cup third round game where I was dazzled by a packed Ewood Park, bathed in blue and white scarves, rattles and balloons. Fabulous, but the powers that be have allowed the degeneration of a GREAT competition.
  17. Thanks Bob. I've copied you in, on the other thread.
  18. Thanks for the preview Ozz. BTW - there is nothing lined up for the Man United CC game at Ewood. If someone wants to put a quick preview forward, then let us know on here. First come, first served.
  19. Nor have I read as much garbage about conspiracy theories and sub plots. For God's sake, the club said they're looking into why the heating system failed to work as it should have done. Don't soddin' judge 'em 'til they've found the cause and reported back. Mind you, some of you wont accept any credible reason.
  20. If you read the article on the official site, the heating was turned on, on Christmas day.
  21. Anyone know if Wigan have undersoil heating?
