  1. Do you two want to do your bargaining by pm - or somewhere else? Buying and selling of tickets isn't allowed on here.
  2. The minutes from the last meeting at the Waters Edge, have now been uploaded. BRISA Minutes 17th November.
  3. How you're going to judge the individuals, I don't know. How you're going to judge any nominee, I don't know. A couple of personal thoughts to share with you all - I might get told off here. 1] All of the committee are going to stand down and some of them will stand for re-election, that's how it is. Thinking about that, if all of the current people [i don't like the word committee] are replaced by the nominnees' in one go, then chaos could/would prevail. Isn't that why most committee members stand for re-election on a rota basis? 2] Can't remember the second point. So before you all jump in with a cry of "FIX", It's never been mentioned before, even on the committee forum.
  4. Must have been the Charlton game.
  5. Mickey Gray was the only back four player who came under any real pressure. To be fair though, he got little protection from MGP, but he coped. He couldn't get forward enough because of that. Kishi did ok for a centre half playing full back, but didn't have enough quality to cause problems going forward. Nelsen was superb and Todd never put a foot wrong.
  6. Along with Neill and Emerton who are definately out?
  7. 1] I'm only putting the other side of the argument. JW is duty bound to look at the running costs and decide whether it's cost effective. The £2.5m figure was correct 2 years ago. 2] "a few million a year", is a lot of money to rovers. 3] Those three are a long way off regular premiership standard at the minute. IMO. 4] Martin Taylor, Jonathon Douglas, Damien Johnson and Jay McEveley wouldn't get in the rovers first team. So the point?
  8. His position at the club had become "untenable"
  9. I said it wasn't a judgement.
  10. Dunny always looked good. He was always a threat to the opposition.
  11. I'm not making a judgement on the academy, simply putting the other side of the story. It's alright quoting R&D Philip, but there still has to be some benefit. The academy must produce more than the 2.5 - 3 million pounds would, if given to the manager every season, on top of his normal budget. You insist that Dunn and Duff should be included. Is there any reason why Dunn and Duff wouldn't have been there under the old scouting network?
  12. Dunn and Duff were there before the academy.
  13. It all make me wonder if the cost of the academy is worth the outlay. The clubs who benefit tremendously from the academy, are the lower league clubs who, having watched rovers spend a lot of money on the development of the youngsters, snap them up for free.
  14. There is of course, any other business.
  15. I imagine the meeting will go on past 9. We have quite a few committee members who can't make it for one reason or another. There will be maybe 6 committee members there, as for anyone else, it's anyones' guess.
  16. They were the two suggested schedules Rev - Bi monthly and quarterly. Nothing is set in stone. BRISA has a committment from rovers to meet us on a regular basis. The January 12th date came from BRISA with no objections from JW or TF. At the moment the club have done everything possible to help us set BRISA up, as was demonstrated by their agreement for BRISA to use the big screen, website, radio rovers, programme and to allow us to leaflet fans within the ground. If ever that was to change, being independent, we could inform the fans of that. As long as BRISA is honest enough with members and club, there shouldn't be a problem. But you never know.
  17. The minutes of BRISAs' meeting with JW/TF are now on the BRISA site. BRISA Minutes
  18. You're probably thinking of the official supporters association, which was disbanded this summer.
  19. Well rev, if you can join BRISA then so can all the other FF members. No need for a FF then, is there.
  20. I'm going on a Manchester City supporters coach. Want me to pass on any messages?
  21. Hughesy, you would be better to contact BRISA directly with your suggestions, they're likely to get lost on this thread. contact BRISA
  22. Great preview Ricky. I'm one of the lucky 1700!
  23. I think the FF is still in existence. A quick question to Vinjay. Let's suppose the Jersey trust decided to sell the club - more than a fifty fifty chance I reckon. Let's also suppose that rovers were sold to someone who didn't have the clubs' best interests at heart. Now the club would have to go along with that, wouldn't they. Where would you stand on that Vinjay? After all you have said about the Walker family, would you have no objections? Would you go along with it, never to complain? If something like that were to happen, Not just BRISA would be up in arms about it, so would all rovers fans. The only difference would be, that BRISA will be in a position to get the fans message over. What do you think? All purely hypothetical I know.
  24. EIT, with your last post, I have no problem. Fully agree. Your first posts, to me, suggested that BRISA had NO remit.
