  1. I think the 3-0 game was Bests' first season for Man Utd. He was up against Keith Newton. No doubt about it, Besty was a genius. I was on for the 2-2 draw as well. Harry Gregg was the United keeper who got sent off for whacking Mike England. Finally, yep, it was 0-5 against the scum at Ewood. Denis Law at his best on that night.
  2. Friedel Neill Nelsen Zura Gray Bentley Savage Tugay Pedersen Bellamy Dickov.
  3. More than half of all Football league clubs, operate free kids at ALL home games. HERE
  4. Waggy, click on "my controls" at the top of the page, click on "edit signature", click on "IMG", then add this: http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/javaImag...~2751824,00.jpg
  5. Watching Savage last night, I couldn't help wonder what Ronnie Clayton makes of him. Our Ronnie - totally on top of the game, stylish, classy, great passer and strong in the tackle. Savage - runs a lot.
  6. I'm really ashamed to admit this, but I didn't know either. Oh glory be.
  7. Yeah. You still in?
  8. Saturday lunchtime. Burnley at Ewood would do me.
  9. Well done, you two.
  10. Yes Ticket details
  11. Bloomin' 'eck Oscar . Who in their right mind would criticise any fan for not going down to Ewood if they genuinely couldn't afford it? All I was getting angry about was the fans who are threatening to walk away from this club on the basis of, or culmination of, some poor performances. My original post It's aimed at "the ones who don't come round".
  12. You obviously didn't follow the conversation OscarRaven.
  13. Paul, Scotty - I think I'm in danger of being misunderstood here. Anyone missing a game or two for whatever reason, I don't have any problem with. I do get the vibes though, that some of the posters on here definately are thinking of jacking it all in. That hurts the club and in turn hurts me.
  14. The LET seems to have caught the flavour of this m/b.
  15. A few of my mates don't go anymore, Scotty. I wouldn't call them fans. I'm not talking about the fan who gives the odd game a miss for whatever reason. I'm talking about the fan who goes and doesn't come back. There's about 6000 of those over the last few seasons.
  16. I can understand the frustration, for the third season now. I don't think anyone was more disappointed than me. What does bug me though are the folk on here giving it the " I aint going again to watch that rubbish" bit. Yes, the football's been bloody awful TBH. People should put theirselves in JW's position though. He's done everything possible to keep this club afloat in the Prem. So have a lot of other folk. What's the reaction from some of the"so called" fans on here? I'm not going again! Well as supporters, they're simply making matters a lot worse than what they are now. If they consider themselves true supporters, they're kidding themselves. That's not a pop at anyone in particular. Just a general observation. No doubt some of them will come round, some might not. To the ones that don't Bye Bye, mind the door --------
  17. I'll be there. Why? 'cos I'm a rovers supporter through and through. End of story, no more to be said.
  18. That's a bit over the top Cap'n. Bellamy, Kuqi, Bentley and that foreign guy at the back, have all been brought in. There is some quality there, quite a lot in the case of Bellamy - so to say rovers have done nothing to try to improve things is a little dramatic. Much like a lot of the reactions on here.
  19. I'm a bit uneasy when Bellamy is referred to as a striker. [or any of the others to be honest]. He isn't an out and out striker, that's why, wherever he's played before, he's nearly always been pushed out wide. Excellent footballer, but not the direct answer to our goals problem.
  20. Wish I could agree with that, Ed.
  21. I've got mixed feelings on this 4-5-1 thing. OF COURSE it would be far better to play 4-4-2 and win, but unfortunately, I don't think we have the players in midfield that would give the defence any kind of reasonable protection.
  22. bad points of today - everything. Highlights of today - that Blonde stood in the middle of Kidder Street.
  23. You've got to have more than your eyesight failing, to join us. Haven't you Paul.
  24. I often think we should have a forum called "codgers corner", where all the old git's can disappear for an hour or two. I can imagine all the old timers, - Theno, Me, Jim, Billy, Whittle blue, Dave Birch, Paul, Bazza and a few more [candidates please], can go and spend a quiet hour or two, reminiscing and dozing.
  25. Shankley's my bet.
