Fergie had the money to replace Cole, apart from the £7m we gave them. That wasn't as much of a risk as rovers letting him go for free and having Dickov as a replacement, Dave. What's the odds on Radzinski being his replacement? He is desperate to get away from Goodison by all accounts and a previous Souey target. Radzinski/Dickov and Stead up front? No thanks. All this could work against Stead's progress. What he needs is another season where he can learn from Cole and be used conservatively along with Gally. Not to be the main striker at his young age and limited experience.
