  1. Didn't they want a similar deal for James last season? Before United signed him. Such a bizzare deal. Like if they don't go up the player is supposed to just go back to Hull and forget he was ever pimped out.
  2. I haven't watched them a huge amount this season, but from what I have seen, that Windass is absolutely useless
  3. Holtby and Lenihan in the EFL team of the week. Mowbray manager of the week.
  4. How is that young lad getting on who went to Leicester? I just don't get why players move to Premier league clubs only to be practically guaranteed to not make the first team, instead of staying at Championship level where they have some chance.
  5. Powell was a big loss from them from a creativity, goals and assists point of view.
  6. Brewster was highly coveted too. My Liverpool supporting friends say he is top class. They have serious firepower. Of course they are trying to play down expectations. Jesus it's getting to squeaky bum time though, Leeds only 5 points clear of 3rd now. I remember it was 12 at one point and the top 2 looked untouchable. It would be absolute quality if Leeds missed out again.
  7. Swansea have Bastón and Ayew, them 2 alone cost the bones of £40 million. Has there ever been a more expensive strike force in the Championship? I would imagine there is some expectation there. Watched the game last night. Very poor. WBA didn't look great at all. That Perreira looks alright, but not many others stood out. Stoke were very well drilled to be fair. I would have expected that from an O'Neill team, they certainly won't go down now.
  8. Ha ha,my apologies if thats the case. I missed that Well no need to tell him that til after he signs ?
  9. Of course there is a mix. Depends on the work they are doing I suppose. If their family pushed them to learn English. I know , a footballer so we all think of the stereotypes I would say players are certainly more grounded in Poland.
  10. Add Irish to that. Education is free up to and including masters level in Poland.
  11. Truth in that. I say Rovers here because obviously everyone knows who I mean, where I am from there are junior football teams called rovers as well as the fact I could mean any other club with Rovers in the title. Whereas if you're from Blackburn or around,I presume everyone would know who you mean by Rovers.
  12. Pretty much all poles under 30-35 speak fluent English
  13. The article said he didn't want to go over seas to the usa,but will go to England People laughed at this I pointed out you dont have to go over seas to get to the uk from poland Catch me up on what I have missed?
  14. Well technically he could get to the uk without going over seas
  15. My point was that it's also a step up from League 1. Of course it's a step up from the Polish league. The standard is decent, but the clubs are generally broke. The poles are producing a lot of good players at the moment though I'm glad to hear you're not getting too excited about stats as well. I take them with a pinch if salt if I haven't watched much of the player. Many factors can impact that including the quality of those he plays with ,tactics etc
  16. Ya,I would be very happy with Curtis too. Very good player.
  17. Indeed, but I suppose that's the same with all transfers. Always an element of a gamble. When I look at some of the lads Norwich and Brentford have signed, I just can't help but feel it's worth the gamble at some point. The only thing is he probably won't play much til next season.
  18. The polish guy is absolutely rapid. Quicker than Armstrong.
  19. He is a full international for a decent international team though, the lads haven't played outside league 1. League 1 to Championship is a big step up.
  20. The missus is Polish so I watch them a fair bit. This lad is quality from what I have seen. Would be a coup. I would imagine he will go for £5-6 million though ,so that rules us out. I hate ones like this that hey my hope's up.
  21. Where do we get the replacement though? It will all cost money it doesn't sound like we have. Signing 1 good left back needs to be the priority, not 2 half decent ones!
  22. Wouldn't make sense to offer more than 1 year at a time. Gareth Barry still around at 38
