  1. Maybe not by name, but I bet they know they spent £6 million on someone who contributes nothing.
  2. I don't think it's that straight forward. Can't imagine the Brereton situation has gone down well.
  3. That's exactly what I meant, couldn't think of the name. Tape deck with a green screen, cutting edge stuff. Never heard of the BBC micro. The other 2 are legendary at this stage.
  4. I'm not really. It's just, going off the comments, that's what he could have meant. There is enough to actually criticize without looking for things everywhere,as some are.
  5. I wonder would Danny Butterworth have gotten a look in if he wasn't injured? He looks raw, but certainly has something about him.
  6. To be fair Mowbray did say the aim was play-offs, although he has been quite on that lately. I think the aim of mid table is actually driven by a lot of fans. I read it a lot on social media before the season started that they think we will finish 10-14th and that's fine. Personally I don't believe it is, because this looks like one of those years where a slightly above average team could make the play-offs if they found some consistency at the right time.
  7. You are trying to make out that they haven't been poor and/or disappointing signings and I can't see how that argument can be made. Fair enough though, that's your opinion. I am referring to Bell and Samuel. That's fair enough, but currently we are not in the top half. The league is so open this year, I think it's a great opportunity to get into the play-offs, however ultimately I don't believe we have the quality or Mowbray the tactical nous to deliver when the chips are down. I think we might come top 10 though.
  8. Nothing wrong with setting high targets, it just seems a bit defeatist to be lowering them already. Unless of course he just means get passed 60 asap and see where that leaves us, which he may have going off the comments.
  9. Chaddy I mentioned this earlier, but we aren't actually top half. When you say "chasing" do you mean like a dog chases a car as in it generally doesn't catch it? Or maybe it's tail would be a better analogy and more apt. Bell isn't good enough, but at the same time he's the only option we have at this point, bar moving Downing back again.
  10. If they were any good, they would have been offered deals here. I have to say I have been especially disappointed with bell. I expected a very different player. Never going to get it here? Well it doesn't look like it, but that's a bit strange when you consider we have Gallagher on the wing and Brereton starting upfront twice recently. Is Samuel really a worse option than those 2 in those positions? Not sure and that's not saying that Samuel is amazing or anything.
  11. I think we do have the players. The issue has been we have missed chances. Graham and Dack could go through a game with little service and little impact, but then 1 chance comes up and they take it.
  12. Now now Chaddy I don't think either were signed with the belief/understanding that they wouldn't be good enough for a top half/ top 6 (neither of which we currently are btw). They would have been signed with the intention they were here for the long haul. I can't see bell leaving, but I do find selling Samuel at a loss pretty odd. I thought he should have been given a chance.
  13. Ya, I saw him play plenty, as did those who voted him onto the Championship team of the decade.
  14. Are you sure you aren't mixing the names Rhodes and Rudy up with Shearer and Sutton?? Rudy and Rhodes were 2 good strikers, but we were no better off than we are now. You do remember the Williamson/Lowe axis in the middle don't you?
  15. Talk about revisionist rose tinted glasses. With a splash of negative hyperbole thrown in for good measure! Ya, how could we carry all those goals.
  16. What's this about Bell leaving? Seems odd letting Samuel leave now at a loss.
  17. Not sure about that. The issue in the last few games has been that we created, but didnt finish our chances.
  18. Depends on if Rhodes wants to sit on the bench for another club who get promoted and then wont want him. I can see what's in it for Leeds. Good lad to throw on if looking for a goal. Here would be his best bet cant help but feel the link to us is bs though
  19. Just had a look on twitter, he is linked with us,Wigan (Nixon) and Leeds. Wigan in to buy if they sell Moore.
  20. God I would be delighted with Rhodes. He has his weaknesses, but with the midfielders we have there is potential there for goals. Just don't fucking put him on the wing. All hyperbole and joking aside, but that would be a sackable offence.
  21. God,you really do come across as an arrogant ass at times. Not sure if you mean it,but going off that last line I suggest you know well. Reading back on the first few pages here ,it seemed most didn't know hi.,but of course we wouldn't be as knowledgable as your good self.
  22. Win/win for him. 6 months managing Barca, a chance to win his first silverware and a pay out if they sack him during the summer. Happy days.
