I like how Mowbray said we will secure our status in the division and then he will talk to them during the summer about next steps. I am going to say that this will be our most positive and constructive summer since Venkys bought the club.

They gambled big on going up, just like Coventry did and it ended up putting the club in huge financial trouble. It almost happened us under Kean. Although with the dreaded "cost cutting" since, we appear to be just about keeping ourselves on the right side of the nuclear scenario, unlike those two. You then have your Leicesters who gambled and won big time and will now face retrospective action that matters very little once you are in the Premiership.

We had the bones of a good team. Hindsight is a great thing. I don't remember anyone at the time saying we should be getting into the play offs. Bowyer was a steady manager who knew the club well and did a decent job during a challenging period.
