  1. Peterborogh owner said maddison wont play. But if he isnt sold next week then he will be re intergrated into the team and will stay all season
  2. This team is good enough to win games with plan A. But when it isnt we dont have different types of players to have a plan B. Every sub is kinda like for like
  3. Quite possibly. Im sure TM will look at this window and learn from it. It must have been quite a long time since he had a window with decent funds. Everyone can look at them self and find ways to improve, the manager is no different in that regard
  4. Has to be worth a punt. We are so narrow at times. If he doesnt fancy a wideman and wants number 10 types drifting inside naturally, then he needs full backs brave enough to attack in the final 3rd and them provide the width
  5. True. But I think unless you overpay, the selling club/player are the ones that drag it to the last day thinking something better is coming. Then late on people suddenly have a choice to make in no time Also think players didnt know where they stood with current clubs in the 1st window with only 1 game played. Normally by the 31st you know if your likely toplay every week or not
  6. I think the 2nd window and the loan to buy option means teams/players didnt feel pressured into a late decision like they would normally around deadline day
  7. “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”
  8. Todays game was crying out for him having the last 25-30mins and giving us some width
  9. I think Palmer is going to have games where he drives you mad and frustrates you, but he certainly has enough about him to be a real threat at times in this league
  10. Arguably TM's best quality. He calls a spade a spade rather than chucking out cliche after cliche
  11. A lot that can be said both posaitive and negative, but the one glaring thing during the entire game is we have zero width. We are crying out for a wideman ☹️ So congested in the centre with everyone drifting inside
  12. Tough to answer that really. We all know what we are getting with Gallagher. Bereton is going to be an unknown for 99% of rovers fans. I quite like gallagher tbh, thought he did well in a bad side when here last time
  13. I think the interesting thing for today, is that everyone is avaialble, armstrong is back. We should get a clear picture of what TM see's as his strongest 11 and formation.
  14. He does mention his attitude. Cant remember his exact words, but he said his attitude is fine. But then he would say that I guess if he wants to sell him Its a good insight into how crazy the window is. The kind of honesty and transparency you dont really get in the modern game
  15. From watching him I got the impression the 'had enough' comment was with the window as a whole, not the club makng the offer May just be me, but it seemed to me he was a bit annoyed they didnt sell him for decent money before the window closed. He seemed a bit mad when discussing what others went for when in his opininion they are nowhere near as good as madison. They spent big in league 1 terms. I think he did so thinking they would cash in on madison
  16. Feeney wasnt a pacy winger. He wasnt even a pacy footballer. At best and being polite, he was just pacy
  17. Was more of a nostalgic post as we mentioned the crazy days. Though he would look good on that left side of the attacking 3
  18. If anybody follows peterboroughs owner on twitter, he did a periscope after the deadline. If you have 30 mins to spare its quite a good listen He appears to be very transparent on everything they did, didnt do and tried to do. Taks about the struggles trying to do deals. He talks about Madison and without saying it, you get the impression he is eager to sell him to balance the books. He said a championship club came in late with a suitable offer with a loan to buy package, but he didnt want to rush it through. He said he told the club to call back on Monday and they would talk again. He refused to name the club.
  19. Cant imagine him ducking to avoid questions. Doesnt fit with his character. Hopefully that points to the first part being true
  20. Seems to be the way that football works though. Only the super rich get their business done early. For whatever reason most clubs seems to do their work late
  21. That can be easily overcome by paying them a 'Loan Fee'
  22. Not sure if there owner is a plantpot or a bit of a legend, but he is certainly interesting Reading all his comments re the deadline, he stresses multiple times that yesterdays window means nothing to EFL teams due to the LTB rules. He says he voted against it saying it was a waste of time and most EFL teams will still work towards aug 31st as their deadline. Looking at the low amount of deals done it seems he was right
  23. You have to wonder about the reports re his attitude. 2.5 mil seems a great deal looking at the other cash being spent and bid Yet nobody seemed to push to get him or he'd have moved
