Pace is a funny thing. Sometimes players with it can make huge differences just by being on the pitch. Without doing anything they can affect the starting position of the back 4. If the full back marking him lacks pace, the centre half on that side edges over and suddnly loses his man centrally. Defenders hate pace.

Passing doesnt always have to be as accurate when your hitting a guy with pace. Sometimes its just a case of lumping it into the sapce behind and run forrest run time

Its to easy for teams to play a high line against us at the minute with Graham up top alone. Graham is still a good threat in the final third, but we have to push other teams back so he can play there. Armstrong finally offers us a threat in behind that the back four has to respect.

Mowbray is slipping down the football pyramid. Who knows where his next job comes from if he fails here. No way he deliberatley makes it harder for himself by leaving out players capable of stepping up. If some players arent promoted to the senior squad then he either doesnt think they are good enough, or now isnt the right time for them

Its a fair point, but for me its more what it represents that just his abilities. I thought we were in store for young loans who need games or risky cast offs like Stokes who have potential, but could easily flop. Graham isnt in that mold. You have to think he had a good few options besides rovers and he has chosen us. For once its something pretty encouraging

Our collection of chants (especially at home) is pretty poor and unimaginative. Years of having the drummer seemed to limit decent new chants

Plenty opportunities for coaches to get info out to the middle. Not trying to say its not a job that needs doing well, its just not as important a roll in modern day cricket as it used to be in my opinion

Job of the captain is over played these days. So many coaches etc draw up plans etc for the batsmen prior to the game.
