Im in no way trying to dig you out here.. but have you seen him play ? I am on the cautious side as i no nothing about him, and my head feels like it will be another henrikson. But heres hoping it he will be good. At least someone is in the door. -

sadly i feel the mostly likely positive result we might get would be 0-0. Maybe we can score 1?... But if we are to score or score more than 1, you feel it would need things like a penalty, own goal or red cards to swing in our favour. Until we get some strikers in the door, I just dont see any goals from anywhere. Can see us in the bottom 3 by at least the end of feb. Personally I think if we have no new additions or nobody back from injury, I think Id shove 1 of the CBs up top with Yuki, Samba esc jobby and try and play off knock downs, something different while we have zero options. -

Looking at that list you imagine the following will be in the bracket of potentially being sold or loaned out to make room: Carter - never available Pratt - would be harsh but hes 22 and i fear they may sacrifice him to go out on loan Pickering /ribeiro Hedges - due to injury Gueye - going to go Kargbo - doesnt fit in the system -

alot of frustration around where i sat in the crowd last night (rightly so I know). But I heard one guy say we should win like 5-0.... come on, we are 17th... We dont score many from set pieces, and bar cantwell and maybe yuki nobody else realistically is a goalscorer, and even cantwell and yuki are barely goalscorers on their rovers records. I told my misses on the way up last night "are you ready for a 0-0 draw" (driving 3.5 hours up knowing what we were probably in for). I was gitted like everyone but hardly surpsied at the result. Ive no idea when our next goal may come tbf, without Gudjohnsen, we havent exactly got the group of players thats going to score 3 goals in a game, and scoring 1 doesnt even look that likely. Yuki is the type of player if you gave him 10 one on ones, you wouldn't be surprised if he only scored 1. Also Cantwell was getting a bit of abuse around me to, and I watch and think hes the only person that can do anything with the football, he cant do it all, were asking him to be dropping deep and then be in the 10 position. Others around him have to step up but there aren't exactly goals going to be flooding from whats available. Going to be a painful watch until we\if get some forwards in. You can maybe try and give the players ideas on a training pitch but sometimes when you've got certain players that aren't exactly attacking players its going to be difficult. Players that aren't scorers: Miller, Mcloughlin, Pratt, Litherland, Hedges, tronstad, Baraji, then your relying on 3 players to create something; henriksen (who is playing out of position, not played championship football), Yuki(not prolific), cantwell(has not been prolific for us since joining bar penalties). Sheff weds drew to hull at the weekend, we have no divine right to go and win 5-0. We had 3 or 4 alright chances last night and didnt take them, and if your only creating that many real chances with a group that aren't prolific i wouldnt be surprised we've drawn 0-0. Hopefully we can work on some more set pieces because when you aren't great at scoring in open play they are the get out of jail cards. Sadly id take a draw against wrexham, cant see us scoring more than 1 saturday, and i can see them scoring at least 1. -

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
ruggles1995 replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I do wonder if anything will affect the venkys.. 15 years and not really a word from them. I do sometimes wonder as well with the bizarre decision makings we've seen down the last 15 years whether we are still being run by Z agent, and Venkys is just a name to cover it up.. Protests have happened before and they just stay silent. I am in no way discouraging the protest idea or anything im just voicing a feeling that i feel they dont seem to give a damn, which is just so odd and fishy. Some of the decisions we've witnessed over these 15 years have been sporadic, and sometimes absolutely nuts, where it just makes no sense ever. Sometimes it also feels like deliberate sabotage. I do sometimes get the feeling does this make a certain company or person something beneficial out of us (rather than this being solely a venkys ownership), it never ever feels like the end goal should be promotion or successful results, everything just never adds up and always seems fishy. I know something must be done, I just have that feeling that whatever does happen Venkys wont care or respond like they usually do. Also attendances are already dire, just not sure anything more will look too obvious as it already looks empty most the time. I suppose we can not give up, and the show goes on, we all care the football club and all want the same goal. Just hope we get some hope we deserve sooner or later. -
with him going to afcon, think if i was VI id look to go with morishita as right wing back. He looks to me as our best crosser of a football. He also has the japanese work rate to do the up and down work.

Quite an even game I thought. Lacked a lot of quality in the match. Thought qpr set themselves up pretty well. They stood off us and let our back 3 have the ball and gave no room in midfield to have it easy passing into midfield. Our back 3 just passed sideways and qpr tried to force us into mistakes. Both teams had massive chances, I have to say the difference imo was the triple change we made. Forshaw and Gueye coming on were not needed imo. Gudjohnsen didn’t look tired and with someone like him who’s able to score you would just keep him on unless he tires which he hadn’t. Yuki had run himself Into the ground with 7/8 mins left but he’d made his changes. The goal came from a tired poor pass from miller. Then de neve didn’t get himself back to cover around. Felt like a game of fine margins, and it was I think the subs killed it and I also think the squad in depth for qpr maybe shown it was better than ours… baffling subs. I think that stops talk of playoff pushes. Let’s just try to take a game at a time and get enough points to stay in this league as we cant seem to cope at home.

Im happy he threw Pratt in. Made sense tbf, its a sink or swim opportunity and if he wouldn't get used now when will he ever!?. He did alright. I have to say it shut me up a bit the performance. I thought we would get beat 3/4-1. Some players starting to show signs they've got it at this level. Id say we still need another aerial winning CB through the door as we've only realistically got Pratt, Mcloughlin, miller and wharton. Sadly I've given up hope on carter. Id also look at RWB cover for alebiousu, its a shame Duru doesnt seem to be doing too much on loan (I dont think, unless im wrong?!), could of been a backup option when needed for alebiousu if he'd turned to something promising... I feel we have enough CMs to get by. We need another striker, because if Gudjohnsen gets injured im not sure who actually would score. I imagine pickering and gueye will be offloaded if we can find a cb and a striker. -
I know hes classed as "injured" but this seems really dodgy to me. What started as a knock seems to of gone on for at least a month. There never seems to be any real info on it. Any inside knowledge here? It feels like dejavu a bit from history gone by.

got bullied Saturday didn't we. Men v boys. Experience v inexperience. We struggle against direct physical teams. We struggle in both boxes for set pieces to when a teams got a couple powerful players. It was pretty obvious i felt how it was going to pan out. I see elliot jackson saying he felt we played the same formation with hedges as a left sided cb, i disagree, it didn't really look like that to me. To me it looked like a disjoineted 4 at the back to start with. Alebiousu galloping from right back all the way up to the opposite full back to close the ball down was never going to work. Gudjohnsen looked like he played as a floating winger\striker. Was neither in any of those positions was practically anonymous all game. Didnt look like our normal formation that had won 3 games ina row until the 2nd half, first half looked to me as a 4 at the back. Yuki really needs top work on his touch and hold up play, practically gave the ball away at every chance he got. The team all seemed rather unbalanced. Not one player on our pitch competed with anything in the air at both ends. I think it took till around 70th minute for us to win a header of any note. I for the life of me will never understand our consistent use of long throws in every game when we haven't a player capable of winning a header. Then we bring gueye on and he doesnt even stand in a position to try and win the first phase of the long throw, Morris just kept heading it all away. Just seemed like a team not having to do too much to get the job done and knew what was needed to win against a side lacking with any know how. Really need an ugly cb and Striker dont we to just help us in these types of games. Cant see us beating preston or wrexham in our next batch, we get bullied in both of those imo. Cant see more than 4 points from next 4 games, and id say that puts us right back in the relegation picture. Monday rant done. -

Timing, timing, timing. We've played Leicester and Southampton all at the right time, we now play bristol away on the back of a 5-1 mauling. I think we can take at least a point here, id be surprised if we won, and id be surprised if they win off the back off a 5-1 defeat. Draw all over it?... if we come out of this without a loss its a good result. -

weird one this, on paper looks difficult, but timing wise, its a great time to play them, they aren't in form, and we've just come through winning from a goal behind. Lets hope confidence helps us. Can see us getting something from this game. But would not be surprised to see us get beat either.
