  1. When this fixture come around, I can’t help but think of the two own goals and red card that Duffy managed to get in our relegation season. Given thar he wanted a move and also he had scored an own goal in the previous game V Wigan, I can’t help thinking at least one of these was deliberate. To make matters worse, we went down on goals scored. Am I the only one, who has never forgiven him?

Hopefully, we can get something from the game & I would take a 0-0 now, with the tea lady the star of the show, by putting an extra sugar in each players drink, leading to a bit more energy bring spent than in the last two matches.

It's well into extreme dislike for me. Infact he's now no2 on the list of disliked as he has surpassed coyle for me. This carries on much longer he'll be heading into kean territory but he still has someway to go yet. Hopefully he will be removed before then but I think we are stuck with him until the end of the season at least. Unfortunately we will need to sack him as it is clear he won't resign and to be fair it's difficult to blame him. He ain't gona get a gig at this level again, and we were the ones who gave him the contract in the first place. We need to be more savvy in future with contracts. Insert clauses meaning we can terminate with pre agreed compensation if certain targets aren't met. Not sure if this kind of thing is possible. I know top managers wouldnt accept such clauses, but chancers like Mowbray will accept it if they want the job surely.

It could be worse, a mistake here or there, by the person who drew up his contract, could end up costing the club £5 million.

I certainly don't claim to be 'ITK' at all but shortly after the final whistle yesterday I received a text from someone extremely close to the club - not the playing or coaching side - who doesn't normally gossip (he can't afford to, it would cost him his job) who, unsolicited, told me that Waggott had been instructed to act. All this talk of being sacked today and announced at 3pm didn't come from me, I didn't hear any specifics at all.

However, I am very confident that something is happening in relation to the manager, but people posting "Its not happening is it?" every 5 minutes on here doesn't help alleviate the general twitchiness that fans are feeling just now.

Was it wrong of me to share that info? Maybe. But that's partly what I thought these message boards were designed for.

I think I might well have the access to the same person.

As it happens, I haven't asked him, but I would be very surprised if he doesn't know something.

Happy to call or text him, if we don't hear anything, by later today.

Something that Mowbray's backers like to say is that he has turned the club around but from what I can see the same problems remain that were here when he took over. We still have disinterested owners (not his fault granted), when Mowbray goes we will again be without a CEO as I don't see Waggott staying long after Mowbray, we have no football brain at boardroom level (which has given Mowbray a completely free reigned to do anything with no question asked), we have half a squad out of contract in the summer and very few assets to sell on.

Behind the scenes the club is rotten and needs a complete revamp. Get rid of Mowbray, Waggott, Venus and Pasha. Get in a Director of Football (and put him on the board) who is in charge of overseeing football operations at boardroom level and also responsible for recruiting a new manager and his coaching staff. Get in a CEO by doing a proper interviewing process (although who is doing the interviewing is another worrying question) and appoint someone with no connections to anyone at the club.

Do that and then we might resemble a proper football club. But that is one heck of a challenge to do over 1 summer especially with the massive squad overhaul we are likely to see and it is also a damning indictment of the owners, Mowbray, Waggott, Venus, Pasha that all this needs to be done immediately. This is what happens when a manager basically gets a free reign for 4 years and it must never be allowed to happen again.

It's ten years now and things have simply, lurched from one disaster to another. No sign of things getting any better, any time soon and given that we have an extra zero added to the debt and we are at least one division lower for now, the future looks increasingly bleak.

With this death spiral to top all Mowbray death spirals after splurging millions on crap players (plus taking us down and scabbily getting us back up) plus the plans in place to sell Coventry's, sorry our, CAT 1 academy and training ground while the Coventrio are at the club... Is anyone still feeling that we in a so much better position under Right Honourable Tony than when Coyle and Kean were here?

As bad as those days were, if we go down under Mowbray then could you really see us bouncing straight back up again next time. Perhaps our next promotion would as likely be from League 2 as from League 1.

    - If Mowbray is in charge for our next game than it's not incompetence staying Venky's hand, it's because they're happy with how the club is being run and the sale of Brockhall STC is the most important consideration.

When Jack Walker came along, supporting Rovers meant we'd hit the Jack-pot. When Venky's came along...we lucked out.

No real light at the end of the tunnel at the moment. Mowbray must go...and now.

I actually don’t think we will go down, as we are still 11 points clear. Rotherham are probably nearly as bad as us and we will finish one above them, fourth from bottom.

Mowbray will still be here, as this is no longer about winning football matches. Whoever is still badly advising Venkys, can you please stop?

In fairness TM ALWAYS says he won't hide from a result (or run away from or other such words.) Problem is he then spends the rest of the interview doing just that offering every excuse under the sun. Lousy human being imo.

I won’t run away from a result, roughly translated to, I won’t be resigning after this one either.

    This.

I don't particularly blame Mowbray or his entourage for this...they were offered a lucrative contract and they're fulfilling it as we all would.

The Venky's signed off on this contract and it's the Venky's who need to terminate it. If you follow every single problem the club has had since 2010 back to its source then it always, always goes back to one place; Venkateshwara House, Pune.

Mowbary leaving (and it has to happen soon, this can't go on) won't be a cause for celebration for me. He's just a manager who has run his course.

The problems will remain and they're all sat on their arses in India.

I fully agree. This football club, ceased being a proper club, when these loons racked up. The fans have had to endure one disaster after another. We go from the sublime, to the ridiculous, with 5 managers in one season, to keeping a manager, who has won one in 13.

Yes Mowbray needs to go, but the club is in grave danger, with these people in charge. The silence is deafening yet again & I liken Roves right now to a dying man, on life support, who is a flick of a switch away from the end.

The club is on its knees with very little signs of life.

Although it feels like they don't give the merest toss, from the constant radio silence, it's not very likely to be true. Even billionaires aren't going to ignore one of their businesses that owes them nearly 200 million and counting, with about 20 million of losses adding on every year. The fat one is probably still watching the games too I imagine. He is supposedly fairly into football. The other two probably just periodically check the results. Besides that, even if none of them are paying any mind beyond occasional reviews, their man Pasha will be.

Perhaps having discovered a few years ago, that you can be relegated (twice) you might be correct.

If we are going to lose, which it very much looks like we are, I think I'd rather Wycombe bag another goal or two. Maybe, just maybe (I know, hope against hope) the penny will drop in Pune if we get tonked off a poor team likely to get relegated.

The people in Pune, will have no idea whether it’s Wycombe, or Man City who have beaten us. They have no interest in it.
