How can we argue when JDTs tactics see us reach Championship heights we've not seen under TM. Embarrassing for me speaking to a burnley fan today. "why didn't you turn up?" agree, we didn't. "never dreamt it was going to be that easy!" well what can I say. "even Rovers fans failed to make any noise!" really?? Not knocking the 1875 members, and warning this may hurt. Ticket priority was given to this group which no doubt consists of 100% loyal fans of the club. But my guess is as 1875 membership attracts hospitality rewards, the group is not the most vocal. Priority in Away Ticket allocation in all cases should go to fans with most away ticket purchases. Having said that I accept we were vastly outnumbers and I was not there to confirm our "noise level". In our first attacked yesterday, if the ball had gone left to Diaz then the game might have been different. Good effort by Diaz in the second half when the ball hit their keeper's shoulder resulting in a corner, but that was it. Barnes was playing his last east lancs derby and we allowed him the freedom of the park. Concern is if we continue not to turn up and with other teams now finding us out, the second half of 2022-23 will be similar to recent seasons.

100% agreement. Neither do we have that quality of player nor can we find a plan B when left facing own goalposts with opposition covering all ways out. (kinda made same comment months ago but was shouted down as "embarrassing"). As we get further on into season teams find each other out. Dingles did their homework. As for us testing their keeper with high crosses?? Nothing to say about that unfortunately.

About 1,500. We had 200 unsold at mid afternoon yesterday and I think the allocation was !,600.

Well worked goal but there should have been more. Game was well managed with our subs Ayala & Carter bringing fresh legs and added strength as we defended the points because Hull where throwing what they had upfront in second half. Then when Vale & Dack (he was on team bus!) replaced Szmodics and Gallagher I was thinking we no longer had a goal threat but it gave Hull a different problem. Vale showed a few tricks which proves he is well capable and gives strength to Rovers squad. Not sure Dack had a normal game. Did a lot of running, tracking back and talking (encouragement) to team mates. Support was 100%. Volumne went up a knotch when news came that Burnley were behind and we went top. Four wins on the trott!

Recall when we were at the bottom of premiership, getting beat most weeks, hardly scoring with a mass of away fans drowning out Ewoods, I did wish we were a top 6 championship side with all that goes with it (bit like what we are now). Remember saying to a Burnley mate last season that they'd score more goals in first 10 championship games than in the whole premiership season. Not checked if that's correct but expect not far off. Answer..... been a long time since we were up there and once we are there maybe it's that fight against relegation I dread with what I mentioned above. Nevertheless, right now I'd take promotion.
