  1. I really thought we were back in at 2-2. Even thinking a pen shootout would give Pears a chance to redeem himself The commentator on the stream I watched was critical of Ayala's header. Idiot. Ayala did absolutely the right thing heading in down.
  2. He tries to punch that with one hand, his left. He's a Boro academy product? FFS. Beyond pathetic. Look I have thought about this a lot. At the mediocre level I played at I never ever played with a keeper as suspect as Pears. Ever. Not even at school. We give this piece of crap what 4 year deal on decent wages. Football fecks with my brain
  3. For 60 mins we were a little bit better than an awful Wigan from the 3rd Division. That is all we were. Then it went Pearshaped.
  4. That is do harsh on outfield players 😏 , can we resign Smallwood as our No. 2 keeper and send Pearshaped on his way. Meanwhile our Tony doesn't even want to discuss the issue.
  5. I saw that crap live on our first colour TV. Fortunately at age 18 I was having a mind distracting time with a lovely girl from East Kilbride over on hols. I still remember her name as I do that game.
  6. Mowbray: “We lost disappointing goals and nobody needs to tell Aynsley about that'' Unreal. There is not a cat in hells chance of us finishing top 2. We do currently have a chance of being in the lottery.
  7. They've got 20,000 up Pendle Hill too. Sheep shagging.
  8. There were enough to give a decent booing at the final whistle. Music to my ears.
  9. And if he had gone to the Pub he's be twatted there too
  10. More than a bit. We haven't won there in the past 12 visits including today.
  11. I think he worried about being clattered by Wigan incoming. As in chickened-in
  12. He actually should have saved the 3rd quite easily.
  13. Its modern coaching theory so will be in the books Ben reads...... The 3rd one was the sort you see in amateur football, players takes an unlikely pop shot, in this case a floater, keeper out of position and bemused and does SFA. The 1st was rank bad keeping. The 2nd was surreal. I actually went into a bit of shock, thought I'd fallen asleep and dreamt it. Then went through a ''WTF just happened'' experience and realised I was wide awake. After Ayala scored I thought ok, it finishes a draw and Pears redeems himself in the pen shootout. Silly me ... We Are Rovers!
  14. It is the worst I've seen since I began watching in 1963. Let's not forget Wigan also hit the bar when it was easier to score, also from a Pears basic blunder. I wonder what odds he got?
  15. I've managed, quite deliberately, not to see much of this game. Got to say I'm sorry to have missed a decent go by Bairstow. I will watch Day 5 to see if we can bat through. Didn't waste my time and took in SA v India.
  16. Kaminski would have saved 2 most certainly and maybe all 3.
  17. Bit of a stretch. He made 3 or 4 decent saves in his league appearances, in a team playing well. Today he destroyed us.
  18. I played in my School first teams from age 11 and then amateur football so probably a 25 year period in all and I never saw a goal like that ''walk-in''. Saw some howlers but nothing as bad as that. The fans at Wigan saw a bit of history and will probably not see the likes again ....... The pain is eased a bit with Burnley and Newcastle losing.
  19. I know as a Rover I should dislike Burnley but in reality I fecking detest Wigan. Always have since we first played them mid 80s. Always been a shithouse team.
  20. I agree with you re Travis. He has regressed and badly.
  21. Mowbray has not won an FA Cup tie since the telephone was invented or at least during the lifespan of Windows 10
  22. Could say Ayala have given Pears a kicking and we used an injured keeper sub?
  23. Or at least trying and not just waving it goodbye.
