  1. Have just also booked into the North Star ... the range of rates available on the net is quite wide - from 69 EUR to 135 EUR for the same thing !
  2. Just got mine, wouldn't hang around guys, the ground looks pretty small !! (see Daviemac's link and follow yer nose for the pics of the ground)
  3. I am able to get a limited number of free passes for the Guinness Storehouse, pm me if interested.
  4. Not flying over until the Weds afternoon, otherwise I'd have been well up for the 5-a-side, and the Tuesday night drinks. On the other hand, having just had 160 Euros evaporate in two nights out on the ale in Dublin, perhaps the less time spent there the better !!
  5. These days you get a whole pint for "free" And then sit in the bar and get several more
  6. If I do that I can claim it's a work trip ... hmm there's a plan Free factory tours all round?? I'll see what I can do ...
  7. If I do that I can claim it's a work trip ... hmm there's a plan
  8. Just booked with British Midland International from London Heathrow - special online fare of £13 each way !! COME ON LONDON BLUES let's go party in Dublin !! PS will probably slum it at Avalon House in the centre of Dublin for 18 Euros per night.

    Iraq poll

Sorry Den, I'm not convinced this poll is relevant or necessary, or timely or helpful. So I've voted Bomb Burnley. So now at least it's helpful.
  10. 30, but apparently I don't look a day over 18
  11. You really are something of a pr*ck are you not ? You keep coming on here, talking your sh*te, stirring things up, and then seem surprised when a couple of Celtic-linked stories - which are plastered all over the national media for all to see - come back to haunt you and you cannae handle it ! FYI ... personally I have taken an interest in matters Celtic since the UEFA game, however I haven't yet seen the need to mention it. Your intoxicated, mid air rioting fans and now your (alleged) camera-pinching 2nd rate internationals are apparently doing their best to ensure you stay in the news anyway.
  12. Doctor or not, I find your long-distance diagnosis both premature and ill-informed. Unless you're actually on the club's medical staff ?
  13. A few points. 14May1995 and myself parked up near the M65, so had to walk in both directions past the Fernhurst and the Darwen end. We also went for a pint in the Moorgate (the Brown Cow and White Bull were too rammed to get through the door). We did not encounter a single obnoxious Celtic Fan, in fact there were plenty of handshakes and good natured conversation as there was in Glasgow. The Fernhurst was teeming and noisy, but good natured when we walked past both before and after. I'm not saying that other people won't have had different expereinces, I'm just saying don't tar them all with the same brush. The trouble at the Darwen end turnstiles is a big shame, but something the clubs will have to take most of the blame for. How would you feel, as a genuine fan with a real ticket to actually then be refused entry to the ground. With nowhere to go to even see the game on TV cos everywhere was already rammed. We all know how we felt before this massive game - excited, nervous, tense, full of anticipation. I don't know how I'd react if I was told my genuine ticket wouldn't get me in because there were forgeries which had been accepted and I hope I never have to find out. This is obviously not a new problem for Celtic - the guy we walked down the hill with told me "normally the forgeries are pretty good, but these ones are sh*te - they haven't even been cut with a guillotine but with scissors". So why did Celtic not warn Rovers and why did they not work together to ensure the situation which arose did not happen. The trouble in the pubs in town, according to Rovers fans who were there, was caused entirely by Rovers "fans". In fact it was a planned raid. There goes our good reputation. Finally, a word about our own supporters in the Blackburn end. I'll repeat what Hannah has already said - I saw and heard things in there I didn't like and haven't seen for a long time with Rovers. It didn't help that I was sat next to an obnoxious racist idiot - I can see Andy Cole is black and didn't need reminding. The Celtic fan who got beat up was an idiot for making himself a target, but not as big an idiot as the Rovers fan who got him in there. Hopefully the database will allow the culprit to be banned for life. It was inevitable the guy would get a kicking in the circumstances, but well done to the pr*ck who waited til he was nearly at the exit with his back turned - running down the steps and kicking him in the back from behind was very brave and very clever - all your friends (if you have any) must be so proud of you. I hope someone took his seat number and gets him banned as well.
  14. I'll second that. 2 idiots in the middle of the Blackburn end tried to start "no surrender" every 4 minutes. Clueless.
  15. Don't forget that the ticket office are refusing to sell tickets to rovers fans. What do you expect? Celtic didn't refuse their fans tickets, did they? Only Rovers "fans" who never went last season or this, even to Cardiff. Shame.
  16. The coaches referred to in the Lancs Police leaflet are the 150 coaches carrying the majority of fans with official away tickets - these particular coaches will not be carrying ticketless Celtic fans. Goodness knows where the unofficial coaches / fans will end up ...
  17. Yep ... and on the evidence of the last couple of weeks I was right ! Or maybe it's Jekyll and Hyde Rovers distorting the picture.
  18. 14May1995 and me will be in Blackburn about 5.30 - 6 ... in the unlikely event that the M40 / M6 are behaving themselves.
  19. Everything today ... trains, players, fans, RUBBISH London tube - half of it shut down ... RUBBISH Train to Southampton - engineering work ... RUBBISH Southampton ... RUBBISH Rovers fans ? - ""Worst support Ive ever seen ?"" It bloody was - are we all duped by the mickey mouse Celtic game ? RUBBISH lets get behind the lads in the games that matter Yates's ... RUBBISH (but cheap) Referee !!! RUBBISHRUBBISHRUBBISHRUBBISH Was he at the same game ?? Tugay ? Penalty ? Having seen the "highlights" (ITV style- 68 seconds) he got it all wrong. But then we could see that from row ZZZZZ. Gillespie ... RUBBISH you'll be back at Wigan unless you buck your ideas up. Idiot. Dunny ... RUBBISH Time and time again, you know which pub you get seen in every week, you're a little fat b*stard who is quickly becoming a disgrace to the shirt ... you had to do a job today with Flitty being banned ... but you completely fluffed it. So much talent, so little sense. Bin the Gazza videos, and check out Mark Atkins. Andy Cole ... RUBBISH It went in off your nipples, and it was the least deserved goal I think I've ever seen. Get your hands off your hips, get back on side when your team mates win the ball, roll your sleeves up and do some effin work. I don't care who you are or what you've done, at the moment you're being outclassed by a grinning Trinidadian and an out of work Scandinavian joker. You're an expensive joke. Overall ... RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH
  20. Moderation Mode Off PABBY, I'd say you owe around 16000 Season Ticket holders an apology for that insult. Words fail me....we are amongst the clubs most loyal supporters and those LEAST likely to act in this way. Are you aware any ST holder selling on a Celtic ticket faces losing their ST? On 1864's point I bought 3 extras the first day they went on open sale simply by explaining I was an ST holder and I have a histiry of buying extra tickets. Paul ... I'd say he owes about 15,500 of them an apology ... season ticket holders and idiots are not mutually exclusive though
  21. When it's well known that 10,000 Celts will travel to Lancashire without tickets, I cannot applaud the Rovers enough for ensuring that home fans are not pestered and annoyed by infiltrating Scots. As has been shown time and time again, genuine fans coming from abroad are accomodated by the club - they are doing everthing possible to ensure home fans can enjoy the game in comfort and people are still complaining. Wise up folks - do you really know anyone who deserves a ticket and can't get one ?? !!
  22. It does seem to be bringing the crowds out ... At the ticket office yesterday there was a guy with his entire buying history in ticket stubs ... A Worthington Cup Final stub ... To be fair I think he stayed to watch the Villa game.
  23. Use common sense and there will be no trouble ... end of story. This is not an Old Firm game, there is no call to use certain inflammatory chants (I think a couple of posters on here are not old enough to understand this), and both Rovers and Celtic have exemplary reputations for support at home, and away in Europe. PSG was a possible in this draw ... trust me that would have been an absolute minefield in comparison. I've lived there.
  24. If we're 4-0 up then maybe, but ... Suppose it's a fiery 2-2 at Parkhead with some sendings off and bad reffing decisions both ways, including a disallowed Rovers goal which is proved on TV to be OK. Both sets of fans (but especially us) thinking they've been robbed. Then at Ewood, with things on such a knife edge, as soon as the ref gets something wrong, or something happens, if there's infiltration there'll be a riot. This is a cup tie with a lot depending on it. Infiltration's a big enough pain in the a*se at league games, in an all-or-nothing European 2nd leg decider, I don't think any opposition fans in the wrong bits of Ewood will be well received.
  25. I hope there are no complaints when Celtic fans are sat in home areas of Ewood Park. Tickets for Ewood will NOT be going on open sale, sell out or not. So any Celts in the home areas will be due to unscrupulous Rovers fans.
