  1. Unleaded!! I thought you were a reliable source?
  2. Signing two strikers, has to mean Bothroyd is not part of any long term plans with Sparky.. So what do you do with Jansen, considering his contract is coming up? mind you I wouldn't mind Bellamy and Tristan... *sigh*
  3. BobbyG, you always keep your options open.. and everyone guessing
  4. I guess we will know Matts future by monday with rovers being strongly linked to both Sokota and Bellamy.. We have: Dickov Jansen Gallagher Johnson Stead Bothroyd With the possibility Sokota and Bellamy coming in? Someone will have to go... Bothroyd I can understand, but Jansen too?
  5. Well in three months we get the Dahlin Money (obviously on the appeal being unsuccessful- which it should) that gives rovers an extra £4m+....
  6. ive met him before in a nightclub, the majority of the newcastle team were there anyways my brother supports newcastle and i got most of their signitures, Bellamy however wouldnt because he was holding 2 bottles of smirnof ice, then one other newcastle player (i think it was clarence acuna) told him to sign the paper because he would hold the bottle i actually think he was seconds away from spitting his dummy out, and putting his hands on his hips, a truely awful person also for the record shay given was also a bit of a dick, i told him he should have stayed at blackburn haha i am aware that they probably cant be bothered with people approaching them all the time an absolutely riveting post....
  7. am I right that Rovers won 3-0? Congrats too the young Johnson..
  8. I am going to preidct this one, as I have stayed away from predicting altogether since Rovers started to improve in form.. BUT Rovers 1 Chelsea 0 No not really... Rovers 1 Chelsea 3
  9. Thank you Philipl, thank god you and a few others understand. and Prso sorry for the derogitory comment..
  10. Can you do math? Your excluding the actual Transfer package. As you said, Rovers paid £4.4m upfront and and have a payment of £2.1m a year later.. a similar deal would be £4.4m upfront and the cancellation of the £2.1 in August. Under you concept rovers get £4.4m, where the deal was worth £8m. I would expect the £4.4 upfront and a payment of at least £2.1m a year later from the transfer of BF back to Rangers (totaling £6.5m and bugger the Euro triggers of £1.5m).. thats fairer IMO.
  11. Rev, he (BF) has been here a year and a half, (injured through most of this time) was transfered under a large contract and transfer fee and then hands in a 'written transfer request'.. I dont think it is lack objectivity influencing peoples opinion, it is Barry's apparent lack of professionalism to the club he signed for.
  12. Great post Colin, Im sure I have that games highlights on VHS. I am going for Shearer and Newell.. *sigh*
  13. Think this game will be close, going to stay with my trend and NOT predict the match result, but a rovers win it will be....
  14. Once a again Tris, VERY GOOD!! This and the baby bottle by Cn174..
  15. I agree with all you said there Rev, but how much is realistic for Barry if we cannot accept knockdown fee? somehwere in the region £5-6.5m? I would hope at least £5m. I think Rovers could have quite a kitty for the end of this season. Don't forget we are getting the $4.5m in April (dahlin insurance), plus the £1.2m from the Beattie sale... (Throw in a few sales with Gresko and Amoruso) Can someone also answer, Does barry lose all his sign on fees, now that he has placed a transfer request in? And if Barry goes, who would be the highest paid in the club now?
  16. 19:48 - Shouldn't we have a poll asks Colin? 21:40 - Poll up and running says Flopsy. Never been THIS influencial in starting a poll before. Must be those polaroids of Flopsy & the goat that I received in the post C'mon Colin she loves herself... somebody has too!
  17. Well I think we WILL sign him before Bruce does find a replacement... as you said " too much has gone on now.."
  18. That must be one helluva big coach!! -just what I was thinking when I read it. Not going to predict on this one, but hopefully the boys will come through with a comfortable win.
  19. After one game? Wake up and post something sensible for a change... honestly
  20. Very glad to hear the boys did well, have read most post match commentaries and posts and am happy to hear that both Mokena and Nelsen had good games.. well done also to MGP (NOT getting involved with the MGP debate). I know it was quite a "physical" match but I am getting concerned by the number of yellow cards the players are receiving, we must be worst in the league.. Mind you, we do have depth in the squad to handle suspensions. IF, we can string the next three matches together with a run of wins, I'll be more cormfortable with rovers going into the toughest period of the season.. Roll on Cardiff and a good cup run
  21. If Savage is in, thats great, I wouldn'y mind him in the blue/white halfs, but Mr Hughes, please get rid of some of the dead wood.. De Pedro for one
  22. Just woke up to the result, not entirely unhappy with the result. Would rather not here about Friedals "blunder", as how it happened sounds like appalling goalkeeping. At least we have home advantage to give the fans some, hopefully, entertaining football. Very happ for Jemal Johnson C'MON ROVERS
  23. Glad to hear we are covered at the back for Short and Gray. Good business to rovers.. 2 international captains for £300k, not bad!
