  1. i cannot believe rovers fans are being so negative,we have lost one game in 7,conceded one goal in 270 minutes yet most poster's are looking on the down side,we have hit rock bottom and now are making progress, sure there will be set backs but i am sure we will survive this season, something i could not see last season under souness. when hughes took this job,he must have thought it was going to be tough,a month later he must have thought he was mad to accept it.our manager has one thing in common with souness he was a winner as a player and i am sure as a manager he will have the same sucsess, keep the faith
  2. The last 3 games we have conceded 1 goal,a return off the old man short has shored up the defence.i was not happy with the return off flitty and matteo, thank god i have not been away this season i might have been tempted to rip my ticket up if i heard the line up before entering the ground. still i would have took a point from today before kick off,i am still optomistic about this season, roll on jan when souey can select players off his choice
  3. i would say friedal has been under preforming this season
  4. a central defender is a must,we have conceded too many goals, though we have only scored 16 we could have had many more points if we had not conceded so many. priority has too be a defender, young plese no has or never beens. next a midfielder who can make runs, dribble score goals,oh we had a couple but souey let them go.
  5. is this the most one sided vote there has been,it is like a whitewash,i voted for waggy out off sympathy for a great player who has got the total off 4 votes who derserves more but the memory off duff is too great.when i walked on the ground saturday i was watching the scores on tv,and remarked to the guy next to me that i watched chelski earlier in the day,he said how did duff play, mentioned to my dad that i watched the game, same question
  6. at them prices i will be very suprised if the game sells out, well the away section.i have not been to any away games this season, was going to go to city but the tickets had gone by the time i got round to applying.i decided i would only go to the derbies away this season, but there is no way i am paying £54 for me and junior to go to the breezeblock, anyway 2006 wc tickets go on sale in feb
  7. i am still very upbeat about this season, since the two 4-0 drubbings we have steadily improved.january is going to be vital and hopefully hughes will have sounded out the players he wants,so we are not waiting till january 31st for the players ala boothroyd. all said and done,we had plenty off possesion on sat yet created very few chances, that is down to the midfield/wingers.if we can get our money back on fergueson i would take it,tugay has started preforming but in my eyes should have left last summer.so hughes is going too be very busy in these next few weeks trying to get a squad to remain in the premier, and lets not forget he is untried in the transfer market.
  8. i think the poor gates against utd and liverpoo were due to the poor displays and the liverpoo game was on sky, they were cat a games as well.the spuds game more home fans turned out due to an upturn in form and cheaper prices/were they cheaper?the everton game could be our highest gate off the season,if we beat palace and everton are given the whole off the darwen end,on what is traditionally a day for poor gates/the last saturday before xmas.
  9. at least we can say we are going to cardiff in 05
  10. forgot to mention junior got TIM SHERWOOD'S autograph today he was on the concourse in the jw lower before the game,he looks like he has kept himself in trim.he was the pundit on sky
  11. Absobloodylutely i'd be very suprised if gray plays again for us.did anyone notice everyone off our throw ins went backwards, not the display we needed after the fulham game, happen the players should have been kept away from the the tv's the hunger was not there today.todd and short did well and we had our only shot on target after them two combined in the penalty area in the 1st half.the midfield huffed and puffed but tommo's arrival just made things worse. i thought the substitutions were made too early, the matteo one at the end was a mystrey.all in all it was the result we as roverites should expect, the gate was up today which is good news
  12. rovers1 v 0 spuds
  13. as my name dictates every football fan loves a winger, waggy was one on his own,he also has his name in history s being the 1st footballer to get the red card. sellars was also a very good player,i can still visualise him scooting down the wing, crossing the ball for hendry in a 3-3 draw v bournemouth. noel noel he is the king off ewood park, was a fantastic player who died to young, then again they say only the good die young. wilcox was a particular favourite off mine, the 1st game i saw him play he beat his man with ease, and crossed into the darwen end terrace, this continued all the game.under dagliesh he became more composed and laid on many off sherers goals. duff all we need is duff, from the youth team to the irish national side this man was worth watching.i even watch chelski on tv because off this guy,he is so unpredictable, never runs in a straight line,he turns on a tanner and he is class.eit says it all in his above post,he may have been drawn into oblivion when he was always dropped under parkes, but the guy bounced back.if there was ever a rover worth paying money to watch this is him.i expect him to win by a landslide so waggy gets my vote

  15. whilst i am a avid gally fan,i also rate stead highly he showed last season he has a eye for goal, and this season his preformance's have just been missing a goal.youth is the future and i am sure gally and stead will be the strike force for years to come.at the moment the dwarf is playing some off his best football off his career so it may be next season before we see these two in tandem.but saying that my old mate ashton notched his 15th goal last night for crewe
  16. at them prices it will be more like a scrooge's party
  17. if we do finish above sourness barcodes he will be seeking employment this summer
  18. i had been a strong advocate for hughes to take the rovers post,in some players you see a manager and hughes always had this triat, along with hendry and dare i say sherwood.i would say the thing about hughes i admire his refusal to blame the past regime for his problems
  19. looks like the feyernood supporting barman,i met in the dam last year was correct,he said emo was poor his first season in dutch footie but was superb from then on.
  20. good job souey and tnd opinions count for nowt at ewood
  21. might have got a few results wrong but we are on target
  22. a tenner on gally for the 1st goal,raked in a cool £70
