hughes is the 1st manager appionted since jw passed away, happen he did not get the whisper in the ear that tp remains at ewood full stop. i cannot knock hughesy for making this decesion,it should have been done years ago,but the way tp found out is unforgiveable, and to have the remaining chuckle brother come on the radio and say 'i will not be calling the fbi in' is a insult to every rovers fan let alone tp. the way the interview came over,it sounded like very few people new about the sacking,so the mole could easily be found. it looks like someone is supplementing this grossly over inflated wage packet by taking back handers off the media, and its ok to do it ps the guy on the radio who wished rovers to get relagated was not a rovers fan, just a footie fan

stead in for boothroyd only change -
Unfortunately Waggles you pay a great disservice to the strength of feeling the Blackburn fans have towards Tony with those comments. I'm sure whoever Rovers arrange to play it will be well supported. i'm hope i'm wrong but anythink over 5k would suprise me tremendously as we can only muster 17-19k for premiership games,i attended parkes 1st testimonial i doubt if i would bother with a 2nd. ps my niece told me the ball boys have all been sacked too
-
a testimonial match is a very bad idea,if the match is attended by more than 5k it will be a minor miracle, the board should make it public the severance pay tp will recieve

i was quite confident about today before the tp sacking yesterday, now i think 2 things could happen,we get a stuffing or we gain a creditable victory,so i go for man city 1 v 1 rovers -
if there is anything good to come out off this,i have seen tris eat his words

listened to a radio interview from a very solemn tp,the poor guy could not venture outdoors.for a man to give so much for so long to our club, his departure has left a very bad taste in his and my mouth.contractual difficulties my arse,i reckon not one off them could look him in the eye and tell him the truth
-
first off all i would like to thank tony parkes for his 34 years service at ewood,i can remenber him as a player who always gave 100% i think he was signed from matlock or another non-league team from the derbyshire/yorks area. as a coach and caretaker manager,he excelled at steadying the ship after rough waters. but and its a big BUT,in the neil danns thread i mentioned about talking to a senior member of staff, about tiny taylor when he was on loan at darlington, they had a match that was televised and tony parkes who was then caretaker manager at ewood was that man,i as a fan watched the game as tiny was playing our manager at the time could not be bothered, said it all to me. well done sparky for making a decesion that will lose you more friends,it shows the man has BOTTLE. finally how can you decide to sack someone on tuesday, then not tell them till 3 days later.heads should roll for that insult to a great roverite, who is the mole, are the news of the world and the sun from the same organisation, because at the time dagliesh was appointed and in charge the news of the world had all the rovers scoops, find the mole and sack him,or her
-
don't let tom pringle here you say that
-
it might not be as silly as it sounds tris,i once had a conversation with a rovers member off staff, about tiny taylor who was on loan at darlington at the time. did you see tiny on tv on sunday,i asked. no i did not know the match was on was his reply. surely these youngsters are watched when they on loan,i asked no! he replied. looks like danns knows the score

we might need to understand his whole game, but the games i have seen him play he offers effort and nuisance value i just want a little more, like goals and skill -

i hold my hand up,i do not rate dickov because to me he offers very little apart from effort.there is no future in paul dickov-the future is stead and gally, when he was signed i took stick for stating my views and i will again no doubt. i saw the man giving a interview saying he knows his limitations, very honest pro.and whilst he pulls on the shirt off blackburn rovers he will recieve my support. -

fantastic result with ten men,the rovers support seemed quite vocal on the radio.and we all had a laugh in the chatroom, them who could get connected that is. DISCIPLINE has got to improve, how many games are we going to lose points due to player's losing there rag.hughesy must sort this out.we seemed to be having the better - off the 2nd half, then radio lancs goes round the grounds and we are 1 down. desperate measure's were needed so i gave it dickov with both barrell's and low and behold radio lancs goes round the grounds again, the chat goes crazy and we are level, who said the dwarf was rap. still so most off the palarse and arsenal and palace look decent,we are going to have too improve even more than we have done in the last 2 weeks. -

i can't see any changes from last week, but he could go on the bench and be in the pecking order, afterall not all 5 subs can be used.but there are one or two who are at' the last chance saloon 'neil and dickov being two -

[Archived] Poor Old Souness, players bite back
waggy replied to Eddie's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
the shadow off graeme souness still hangs over ewood, that is always the sign off a great man. his era at ewood was only spoilt by the last 18months and if he had the balls to walk away in the summer*most including myself would have remenbered him more fondly. i was most vigourous in my anti souness campaign, firstly over the sale off duff and dunn**and then his never ending bully boy tactics which really showed this club in a bad light, starting at soton last year. the summer signings were a joke,i include tugay and short in these as they were offered new contract,i always thought mr souness was waiting for a job offer, spurs being my ideal job for him.but he has landed on his feet at newcastle and i for one cannot wait to see how it unravels *i think there is only tnd who realises souness love off money, the same way as i do. **at the time i argued vigoursly that duff did not want to leave bburn, happen a few have changed there mind lately. -
well he bloody should be under pressure we're bottom of the league with a gd of -15, southampton just got a point at highbury and we are so screwed (that being said if we win tonight and hughes is a genius and is the best manager ever - i love being fickle) i thought last week flopsy arguement was merited but a bit harsh on the manager, when you think off it he had to give sourness's players a chance, they failed to take it. the changes today certianly helped, just a couple more and we might start moving in the right direction

forgot to add i had a bit off banter with the ref rob styles in the warm up ,shouted to him ' any chance of a penny ref' to my amazement he shouted back 'how many games is it now' i replied 54 and i will buy you a pint if you give us one today! he shouts back 'i want a pie as well' shows that ref's do know what goes on,and at least one has a sense off humour -

took a young liverpoo fan along with me and junior today for his birthday treat,he lives on our street. outside the ground we spotted steven gerrard in his car,so we bought a programme and waited to bounce on him outside the bburn end/jack walker.we were surrounded by loads of scouscers and not one recognised our stevey till we got his autograph then he would not sign anymore-one happy eight year old the game was superb, could call one or two players but thats for later in the week, hughes made brave decisions and most worked -
