This is the best defensive set of players I’ve seen in quite some time from Rovers….Ayala, Lenihan, Wharton, Van Hecke…that is a good quartet….add in a surprisingly competent Pickering, Nyambe still needing som competition but doing ok and a solid keeper and I might dare to dream…..

Just let that one marinate….take off Wharton who has been excellent and you replace him with….drumroll…Ayala! We are going to win this comfortably.

Another good save from Pears. This half should do wonders to his confidence. Great half! Now 15 mins to have a cig and slowly realize Rovers is a “one half team”. We won the first half….now let’s hope we draw the next. COYB!!

Pears performance reminds of the last time we had a good keeper (Friedel). Back up will do ok in competition and cooperation with a better keeper. Feel his hands are safe enough for today, but still miss Kaminisky.

Khadra has something about him, but today he is using too much time with the ball. Needs to release the ball sooner. And yeah….this feels kinda evenly matched right now.

See Accrington are playing Bolton today. Perhaps Bolton finally have found their rightful place in the leagues and the rivalry they deserve? Perhaps a bit harsh just never saw them as a rival to Rovers.

Ohh....really really excited for this one. I saw it mentioned on the Lancashire Telegraph webpage that "Awful conditions, but still expecting a decent crowd at Ewood.". Must say I'm a bit more worried now, but don't know enough about Preston and how they play. Anyone care to expand on this? Will the conditons favour Rovers or Preston?
