v Fulham (a) - 5/3/22

Haven`t seen much of Fulham this season….are they always like this? I.e. they have the ability to play straight through us but prefer to fall to ground. How many of Mitrovics goals from free kicks or croners? -

After the first 5 I`m still looking at anything from this game pointwise as pure bonus. A point here will feel like a win - a win would be getting close to nirvana! I`ll even stomach a loss as long as it is not 3-0+ -
I thought Zeefuik looked good on the right today. Only seen him playing on the left earlier. Thought he made a good figure of himself today with some good interventions and runs. Same goes for Giles and I was actually a bit frustrated that Khadra was allowed to take another set piece while he was on. Just goes to show how much I know about football! Still...encouraged by the fact that todays subs didnt't weaken us. Long may it continue. Bring on Dack and Brereton Diaz and keep the back 3 and Kaminisky injury free and we could be in with a shout for promotion. Now....off to have another beer! Cheers fellow Rovers!!

It is between Dolan and Van Hecke for MotM. Dolan for me.
-
Dolan has been immense today. His best game for Rovers. Just lacking a goal. A shoutout to Van Hecke as well.
-
I have faith in Kaminsky, Lenihan, Wharton and Van Hecke to ensure 3 points.
-
Wooohoooo!!! Khadra!!! What a goal!
-
Big Ben would`ve easily netted a hattrick in this one….
-
Looking past our inability to finish off our attacks I think we have been the dominating team this half. Keep it up and sooner rather than later we will score. Just worried QPR score a freak goal and Rovers confidence plummets. Still….I believe we will come away from this one with ay least 1 point. COYB!
-
Ewwww…..some massive chances for QPR. They are gonna win this in the worst possible fashion aren`t they?
-
Got my favourite back 5 with Pickering being back and it shows. Look solid and calm. On the other end someone has mixed the Covid- an DoNotScore-vaccine anf injected Khadra. Oh how we miss you Ben Brereton!

Happy to see Piclkering back! No world beater but for some reason feels important to the back 5. A mainstay in our winning run. -

Been otherwise occupied but watching this one tonight. Got the feeling that if we get the first goal we will cruise in to a solid 3-0. In other news and since I`m a bit behind on the news…..when will Pickering be back? And Dack? -

Is it Giles on the left? Like the look of him. Think he'll do great with Brereton and Khadra beside him. -

We will need some magic from Khadra or Ben 2nd half...Swansea there for the taking -

They are cutting through our left side like a warm knife through butter. Need to do something or it is just a question of time before å 2nd -
January Transfer Deadline Day 2022
moerpho replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Will adding 5-6 players in january really help the squad? There is no pre-season to gel as a team and I think more often than not I have seen stable teams get upended by incoming players. Like I've said before this day (to me) is all about keeping our key players. Not to bothered about incoming players as we seem to do ok with the ones we've got even though the squad is thin. In other news I really wish this january-transfer-window nonsense would end - re: Bournemouth and Rothwell. It gives bigger clubs a chance to unsettle players at other clubs all while the games comes thick and thin in january. In my view, if you want to have a transfer windows in january then at the same time stop all league games between january 1st to 31st. Would probably change the entire dynamic of the window, more transfers done early on and no more nonsense with key players getting "unsettled". It would also give teams an opportunity to change things up with new players if they wanted to. Just my two cents. Rip me a new one... -

Hoping this is Rovers bad half…come out firing in the 2nd half. But right now I`d take 0-0. -

Dreading this one. Both Rothwell and Brereton missing is one too many. Our defence will be instrumental in getting a point or (hopefully) points today. Come on, Buckley! Prove us wrong and hammer in a screamer. COYB! -

Was about to point out the same thing. In retrospect it might look like Pickering (and Nyambe) where more than essential to our good form. I think Pickering has looked solid++ in most games and obviously good at closing down his side. Really looking forward to having Pickering back!
