  1. What a day if this turns out to be true. Beating a (kinda) highflying Brentford with a League One team and now Brereton coming in. I haven´t had such a grin on my face since promotion was secured earlier this year.
  2. Absolute fantastic win! Try to remember those horrible years with Bowyer and Coyle....we would have lost this one by some margin. The team spirit is unbelievable and todays win was huge. No player bigger than the squad and everyone playing for the manager. Having a hard time choosing a MOM but if i have to: Tony Mowbray. Despite a horrible transfer windows he keeps the team ticking along like a finetuned swiss clock. It´s been a while but for the first time in years I think the «.......Blue and White Army» is well deserved as in «Tony Mowbrays Blue and White Army!» Also...COYB!!!! Now out for a few expensive beers and some celebration!
  3. 5 mins!?! The referees in this league... This could be MASSIVE! COYB!!
  4. Great goal by Palmer and fantastic save from Raya. Really expected nothing but a defeat in this one looking at the line-up, but this team has something about them: team effort! Now bring on mr. Graham to hold up the ball and let us grab 3 points!
  5. Haven't been this excited and proud of a player since the days of Duff, Dunn and Jansen. Here's hoping - somewhat delusional - that he will get his PL debut in blue and white halves.
  6. Seemed calm and composed throughout the game. Never felt threatened by Hull despite Raya's great display. Great team effort. COYB!?
  7. Don't know if this is considered illegal or not (so feel free to delete, mods) but found this if anyone wants to see the goals from yesterdays game: http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=131854 It's from a Crystal Palace supporter website so hope it is ok.
  8. If Peterborough should lose to Sheff Wed tonight it will make for an interesting fixture between Huddersfield and Barnsley in the final round as a draw will suit both just fine and send Peterborough and Wolves down. We've been complaining all season (and with good reason!) but must say I feel for the Wolves-supporters right now. Anyone know how their financial situation is?
  9. Full time - Rovers are safe to fight relegation another year under the unsteady "leadership" of Venkys(or.....), Si(n)gh etc..... Wolves are looking like they are going down.
  10. As much as I hate to say it all we really need is for Bumley to hang on and win against Wolves and Peterborough to draw or lose to Sheff Wed tonight and we are safe even if we should lose this one. Would take something really really special to see us relegated now. Thus my interest is at its lowest point ever in my time of being a supporter....
  11. YES! Who would've thought this team could actually fight back and win after being a goal behind away from home?!? BRILLIANT! Above Bumley in the table as well. If only this lot could've put in more performances like this over the season.... Ahh....that means our underpaid, spirited and brave players get to fight relegation for another season in the almighty Nationwide Championship. And I agree with bob fleming in that we should play OG more often - something tells me we will need his goals next season if the confused Venkys, slimey Shagnew and the adorkable Singh are still here. Must say it is a weird feeling right now. Both pleased/happy and kinda bummed since it is for not getting relegated to League 1 (shouldn't have been an issue in the first place). Guess this also means that Bowyer is now the new fulltime manager. Enough rambling. Time to get drunk(er)!
  12. Whoa....brilliant! Now for the love of all that is holy PLEASE don't try to sit back and invite Millwall back into the game. No gung-ho but please get into 'em and try to hit them on the break. Could be 3 vital points....
  13. Don't know if it's already mentioned but Leeds have scored against Bumley! Puts them right back into it and if we manage to win this one will be only 1 point above us. Insane league. As it stands not even nr. 9 in the league (Charlton) are mathematically safe from relegation with 3 games to go.
  14. RIP Kelbo. Thoughts go to friends and family. This board just lost one of its best contributors. Sad day.
  15. Have to agree with most people here about Davies and Ward, but seeing as I am a bitter man I have to vote for that sissy Barry Ferguson! Expensive, useless *#¤%¤%#¤%*
  16. Can't remember what game - Chelsea at Ewood perhaps - where he threw himself into the feet of the opposition player. Ha actually threw his body - like an american football tackle! Some would consider that rash.... But I still don't consider Todd to be dirty!
  17. Great draw! And I can see Rovers punching through to the final after a nailbiting penalty-shootout since we are unable to score while playing but don't concede many either. Here's hoping for ManUre in the final - that would mean UEFA-cup next year and a BIG feather in Mark Hughes' hat (and hopefully more dosh to use on players come summer!). This season is slowly turning memorable.....
  18. My most hated top 5 people list: Nils Johan Semb - previous coach for Norwegian national team. Whoever decided to put this guy in charge should be killed in some slow and horrible way (i.e. - being forced to watch all of Norways games from the period Semb was in charge). Semb effectivly destroyed the national team and must be the worst coach EVER! Thankfully we now have Hareide who at least understands that football is about - well - PLAYING football..... Alex Ferguson - and everything ManUre. Just can't stand his red bloated face and persistent whining and arrogance. Barry Ferguson - shouldn't need much explanation why I hate this wimp. Sepp Blatter - The King (self imposed cencorship). Why let someone who clearly don't understand the beautiful game of football be in charge of the biggest organization for football in the world? Continues to do his best to ruin the game and the sooner he is replaced/resignates the better. El Hadji Diouf - it's not nice to want a player to get seriously injured but when it comes to this guy I actually wish someone would put him out for good. Diver, spitter and ugly as h*ll. Hope he gets injured and never plays again! My most hated top 5 team list: Rosenborg BK - Arrogant peasants and "kings" of Norwegian football for over a decade. Sick to my stomach of seeing them win the league year after year and seriously hope Vålerenga beats 'em this season. ManUre - can't stand the "supporters", manager, players, the whole merchandising factory....everything ManUre makes me wanna #¨*#%.... Bumley - no explanation needed I guess? Germany - don't know why but I've always hated the German national team and cheer for whoever they are playing in EC/WC. Chelsea - See ManUre....also for buying Duff while Sourpuss was in charge. Why oh why couldn't they have waited untill Hughes was in charge so that the money payed would come to good use and not used for "top, top players" like Amorouso and ms. Ferguson? A stupid argument, I know, but still...... Probably should have had Sourpuss, Brum and Hoddle to name a few on the list(s) as well but give them the benefit of doubt on previous accomplishments and sympathies
  19. Have to agree that it seems you're either suffering from a "Rain Man"-complex or just have to much time on your hands but at the same time I find it kinda cool that you took the time to look 'em all up. Seeing as we are quite a few scandinavian members on this board - care to enlighten us with what teams are your favourites in scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark (and Finland & Iceland))?
  20. Oh gawd I hope Hughes manages to string together a good team come summer - one that can push for Europe (UEFA cup). And that Rangers fail to qualify for CL and get to meet Rovers in the UEFA cup.......and get a decent bashing! Should shut him up for good
  21. Hehe - seems mrs.Ferguson is not too popular with his old team-mates at Ewood. Wonder if Dickov is one of them? http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.a...l=Football_Home
  22. Am I the only one who noticed this? The only danger Bothroyd would pose would be to Rovers - making sure we loose the ball and not scoring when we have the chance! I'm not as negative as most people on here but can't see us winning this one. I'll have to go for a 0-0 draw which will be good for us and bad for Norwich. And I actually agree with those who wanted Amorouso as a striker but only for the last 15 minutes. Rovers seem to be pumping high balls towards our forward(s) towards the end of the game so we should at least stick someone with a bit of muscle and height up there to cause som havoc. For this game I'd rather see Mokoena than Amorouso though. Also have a feeling that this will be a dirty game and that both teams might loose players to suspension or injuries. But Rovers will not go down - Norwich will! My team: Friedel Neill - Nelsen - Todd - Nissa Emerton - Savage - Thommo - MGP Stead - Dickov/Gally Subs: Enks, Dickov/Gally,Tugay,Johnson,Mokoena Why Neill and why Thompson? Because I think this is the kind of game where they might come good and gain som confidence which they sorely need after som gruelling perfomances. Same goes for Stead if my score-prediction is way of target (hope so!!) and I would love to see him partnered with Gally as I think they will make each other good. Mokoena and Johnson in as supersubs in second half if only Hughes for once will realise that subbing players is a good thing when the team on the field has run out of ideas and legs are tired. Dickov? Can't stand him no matter what people say and the fact that he's our "best" striker tells more about the rest of our "strikeforce" than it does about Dickov. Still - he might be useful as a sub. Nuff said. Up the Rovers!
  23. I have a mysteriously good feeling about this game - a feeling we'll come frome this game with something (point(s)) or boosted morale). Think it will depend on wether we'll sign a striker during the day and wether Ferguson stays or not. I'll go out on a limb and predict a goaldry, scrappy affair that'll end with a 1-goal victory to one of the sides or a 1-1 draw, Would be good for the boys to be the first team to score on Chelsea in the league 2005(?). Up the Rovers!!
  24. C'mon Rovers - get in there and top Brums offer with another 100,000£ and tempt Bellamy with "the Welsh connection". He surely will score the goals to keep us up as well as a good finish to the season and additional £ come may.....and we all know how good it would feel to snub Brum! Heck - when we've captured Bellamy - offer 'em to take over Bambi Bothroyds loan-contract and throw in Amo while your at it
