[Archived] Poser For You?

The real answer is the 12th fact on this page: http://www.goalkeepersaredifferent.com/keeper/facts.htm Tim Flowers and Peter Enckleman's dad also get a mention. Also, read the one about the fastest ever sending off ... 40 mins before the game started!! -

Another player achieved the same feat in 86/87. He played for 4 different teams in the 4 leagues, whilst registered with a fifth club that he didn't make an appearance for. Any guesses? -

I'd be inclined to postpone Zurab's debut until next week and put Matteo in at centre-half, giving Gresko a go at left back. This is because Zurab's aerial ability has been questioned by some board members and more importantly, many Rangers fans that I've spoken to. With Bolton's style of play we'll be needing someone in their who can win the ball in the air... in this case Matteo is better suited. I'm excited by the Bentley signing but I'm struggling with where I'd like to see him play on sunday. His best position is where Steven Reid plays but I'd be loathe to drop Reid at present. In the current climate of 'Brett bashing' it would be easy to advocate playing him on the right, but although I'm not Emerton's biggest fan, I do think he's capable of something that could turn a game for us ... admittedly this happens far too seldom. The other option is to drop Tugay or Savage, play Reid in a more withdrawn role and let Bentley play in his favoured position behind the front man. Anyway .. fingers crossed Bellamy is fit and Jaidi/Gardner are not!! 2-1 Rovers C'mon!!! -

Good point Stella ... England need to make the most of the current crop of players ... in 4 years time I fear these players will be past their prime and their replacements will not be of as high a standard. To maximise the squad's efficiency in the world cup SGE has to go I think. Although the F.A will argue that it is too close to a major tournament to disrupt things. When in reality it's too close to a major tournament NOT to get rid. -

Full marks to our wee country!!! Couldn't get a ticket ... but thoroughly enjoyed watching it on TV. No home win in 4 years and then 2 in a row!!! I suppose we shouldn't get too excited though ... it was only Azerbaijan and England! -

Crouch was capped against Columbia recently. I'm starting to think this question is a wind up. Anyone else? -

Nice one Eddie... we're certainly well organised this season when it comes to gettting the previews in on time. Good job! Out of the first three fixtures this is the one I want us to win the most. It's important to establish good home form early and there's always been a tense rivalry between the two sides since we went up together. Hopefully Bellamy will make this one and we'll knock 3 past whoever has undertaken the massive task of replacing Van Der Sar. -

Anybody find out how serious the injuries to Bellamy and Nelsen are? Will get a game tomorrow night? Just a bit worried about their match fitness. Apologies if this has been asked previously. -
The match report is on the official site now. Jansen, Gresko and Thompson didn't feature at all, 10 changes in the second half.

Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread but this website reckon Rovers' first team will be playing Workington Reds at Borough Park this wednesday!?! Won't the team still be in Germany? http://www.timesandstar.co.uk/sport/viewar....aspx?id=265307 -
Been a fan since the 93/94 season ... I didn't watch football at all before that ... I was more interested in the NFL and the Buffalo Bills. All I knew about football was that I hated MANURE and I kept hearing about Rovers pushing them all the way for the League ... so I backed Rovers all the way that season and haven't looked back since. Don't get over to as many games as I'd like to, but hopefully that will change in the future ...

He's got another 2 years left on his current contract ... Here's an article comparing Hughes and Souness. It does state the obvious a bit ... but interesting enough all the same. http://www.blueandwhites.com/news/article00172.htm apologies if this has been posted somewhere else. -

Yip.. I get that Ronin .. but my question was referring to Jim J's post on the topic ... how does where and when PNE play have any bearing on where rovers start the season ??... they're still in the chamionship.
