Huh? WHERE IS DICKOV?????????
-
Chelsea 2-2 Rovers Chelsea open the scoring after 6 minutes and 2 seconds, Eidur gudjonsson heading home from a Tiago cross. Just 23 minutes and 27 seconds later, Mateja Kezman fires home after a scrambel in the rovers box. However with only seconds until the half time whistle, Paul Dickov slams the ball home from close range. Rovers bring on Jay Bothroyd to help search for an equaliser, and after 92 minutes Bothroyd latches on to a Emerton cross to sidefoot past Petr cech. Hughes and all the staff run on the pitch in celebration. Of course, chelsea complain.

If I were boss, i'd get rid of: Lucas Neill: Last good game he had was October 2002. Lorenzo Amoruso: Big, slow, clumsy. Steven Reid: Maybe i'm being a bit harsh there. TUGAY: NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. GET RID OF NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jon Douglas: Why the 4 year contract? Them immedietely. Consider everyone else except: Paul Gallagher: Want to see more of him this season. Jonathan Stead: Will overcome this nightmare Barry Ferguson: Our best player Paul Dickov: Always gives 110% and never lets you down Brett Emerton: Been excellent this year

International players? Exactly how many of them do we have? Boro have way more internationals than us, so that's a positive thing. -
There speaks the voice of experience. To anyone who does not vote for Bryan Douglas, the greatest player to wear a blue and white shirt, I hereby give warning that I shall personally come round to their hovel and stand on their heads. Sorry, I weren't around in those days! Never seen Douglas play, but as far back as I can remember Ripley was an excellent winger.

There can only be one winner- Stuart Ripley

Me too. I agree with everything you are saying, TrueBlue.

Could we have done with him back? Anyone any idea how he is doing at....um.... where ever he's gone?

That's absoloutely fantastic. There are only 3,000 more for Rovers games. Wasn't much of a game, though, and the goals were at the opposite end to me. Typical. -

Rovers 1-0 Jonathan Stead ends his goal drought ( I know i say this every week but he will score this time! ) with a fine finish from David Thompson's ( if he still exists ) through ball. Stead came on for Youri Djoarkaeff in the 62nd minute after struggling with a knock picked up of Zenden. Attendance: 2,000 ( With 1,500 Boro fans ) -

11,000 have been sold according to the girl I spoke to at the ticket office. Thats brilliant, when you consider there are only 6,000 more at Rovers games! -

Only 20,500 here today. Say there were only 18 000 rovers fans? Terrible. -

i accept he's had a bad injury, and prior to that was missing home and not playing inverness caledonians etc. however the injury doesn't excuse his performance as team leader / captain, eg; getting sent off for petulance when already on a yellow card, & being the first to bottle out of the wall for clement free kick vs west brom. hopefully the 'roy keane' charecteristics we heard so much about a year or so ago will become apparent under new regime. frosty snr

from what we've seen of furguson to date he is at best half decent premiership player worth a couple of million. the only reason some people have the idea that he's a top class player is the hype surrounding his signing, ie; the build up given him by souness alone, and the fact that we paid about £5m too much for him. i'm not saying he's a bad player, we just need to get used to the idea that he's not the world beater suoness convinced everyone he was. he also needs to show some leadership qualities to justify his role as captain. frosty ( snr )

2-1 Rovers. With just 6 minutes and 36 seconds on the clock, wing wizard Brett Emerton fires a shot in from long range. Saved by Sorensen, but Dickov is there to tap in the rebound. Just 61 seconds before the half time whistle goes, Morten Pedersen is bundled over in the box from a emerton corner. The croud gasp. But no, the referee ( don't know who but he'll be poo anyway ) claims he didn't see the push. Doesn't matter though, as Jonathan Stead takes no nonsense and belts the ball in. With only around minutes and 21.56 seconds to go, Carlton Cole fires past Friedel with a fine finish. At the end, the fans applaud Hughesy.
