  1. Woah, let's not rewrite history, he definitely didn't!
  2. Amazed at any Dennis suggestions. It's been almost four years - late 2021 - since he had that really good run of form for Watford in the PL. He's done nothing since and there's a reason he's without a club at 27. He didn't look like he wanted to be here when we were (sort of) going for the play offs so god knows what he'd be like if we're going to be down the bottom as expected.
  3. We've spent a lot of the last four seasons sat in the top six. Yes we've never got over the line but I attribute that more to the January sabotages, four different managers too across those seasons. Those players (and are they expensive?) have shown that they're good enough to spend long periods of time near the top of the league. At the end of last season I don't recall many people saying that they want to rip up the team, get rid of proven, good Championship players and replace them with unknowns - some of which will work and be decent signings, some won't.
  4. A space that feels even more connected to the club.....didn't they get rid of all the Rovers things on the walls in there? A bit like the murals on the corners of the JW and Darwen End. Could never get my head around them doing that.
  5. He also called the coalition statement the other week 'a load of nonsense' on Twitter, so yeah.....says it all really.
  6. Sounds like the sort of thing Jason Lowe would have been praised for back in the day.
  7. I had a quick look at their line up and pretty much all of their better players were on the bench - they're playing Forest tomorrow and United on Saturday.
  8. If he does go there, he'll have gone from a Championship side who'll never get promoted under the current ownership to a team in La Liga. Sounds ambitious enough to me. Will he be getting paid more than the pittance he was on here? Of course. But he said he wanted to test himself at a higher level and he'll be doing it straight away. Good luck Ty.
  9. The senior training centre one is just as bad, possibly even worse. Really poor stuff.
  10. We wore our away kit at home to Basel in the Uefa Cup in 06/07 - not sure why. Looks like Basel were in all white.
  11. Rangers have spent most of the last few seasons in the latter stages of the Europa League and Celtic almost knocked out Bayern in the knockout rounds of the Champions League last season. Plus the chance to play in the derby, 50/60k every home game, great chance of winning trophies. If you're Dolan you absolutely leave Rovers, where even if the team's doing well the club then does its best to limit just how well, for Celtic or Rangers.
  12. We want new owners. All of those things that you mention only have a chance of happening with new owners.
  13. I actually think in terms of natural football ability he's Championship level. He'll come on as sub and play a pass or two that nobody else would. But you need more than that. And Buckley doesn't seem to have it, hence his career's drifting.
  14. Seeing which level or club Dolan is playing at next really is the least of our concerns and it's not some kind of win for Rovers if, say, he only joins a mid-table Championship club. The problem is we're losing - for nothing - a player who, while he blows hot and cold like almost everyone else, has been a regular here for years and is a proven Championship performer. Good on him for saying he wants to test himself at a higher level. It's a shame that thinking isn't aligned throughout the club. In fact if I had to bet on who'd kick a ball in the Premier League first between Dolan and a Venky-owned Rovers I know where my money would be going.....
  15. Correct. But I’d still rather be at Ewood than on here moaning about the ref every week.
  16. To be fair I’ll still be paying less than you buying an individual ticket most games. But the thought of giving any money at all to Waggot, Pasha and Venky’s is a horrible one.
  17. Travis has posted an Instagram story saying it's disappointing news about Les Field (manager's PA and first team player liaison) and that she'll be missed. She's always seemed very popular with players going off their social media. People like her being made redundant while Waggott gets a big pay rise. Feel ill at the fact that I've renewed my season ticket.
  18. I wonder what D Fletcher thinks about Sky and kick off times these days….
  19. Correct! It’s absolutely crazy.
  20. Renewing now. The thought of giving Waggot, Pasha and Venky's any money at all makes me ill but at least they'll be getting less from me than recent seasons as I'm changing seats - this means a new season ticket card. So there are three options: - Digital season ticket (no extra fee) - Collect physical season ticket (£20 extra) - Post new season card (£22.50 extra) What in god's name are they smoking down there?
  21. What a through ball from Cole for the goal at Birmingham.
  22. Ah, brilliant, full credit to them then!
  23. Crikey, never thought of it like that before 🙁 awful. When will it ever end......
  24. Ciccio Grabbi is the one that's basically written out. And the shirt will be from season 2001/02 if he's on there.
