  1. 'Out for a while' he said on Instagram.
  2. Great read. And the links to articles from the time are an excellent feature too. Those Sherwood quotes while Hodgson was still in charge, crikey..... Always find it interesting to look back on managers we were linked with at different points. Joe Royle, Bruce Rioch and Bobby Robson once Sven had decided not to come. Harry Redknapp and Colin Hendry (!) after Roy left.
  3. Spot on. Something else I found interesting is that the only Rovers players to like JDT's Instagram post about leaving Rovers (in which he did thank the players) were Leonard, Gallagher and Szmodics. Though Szmodics is the only Rovers player that follows him (and the only player JDT follows) so most may not have seen it....still though.
  4. We’ll go with 11 in 30 🙂
  5. It's 10 wins in 29 this season alone!
  6. We lost 5 out of 21 league games from Jan onwards in the second half of last season. We were a better team in the second half of last season than the first half, playing much better football and losing a lot less, even if we didn't win as many.
  7. Robbie Fowler being under any kind of consideration is hilarious.
  8. Stinks of more like Alex Neil or Garry Monk I'd say. At best....
  9. "What's JDT moaning about now?" screamed the know-nowts on social media on Friday, "he's been given everything he asked for". Great shout lads 👏
  10. Those of us with more than one brain cell are all on your side JDT, whatever happens.
  11. 18 (!) years ago today.
  12. Probably for the best.
  13. I think I've seen you (sorry if not!) mention his poor form a few times now - and I'm just not seeing it. He's playing well, he's so much better than everybody else that he plays at least 'well' pretty much every game, in the sense that he does a few things that nobody else could. And if any scouts were at the Watford home game just before Christmas they'd have been banging the door down as soon as the final whistle went. He was streets ahead of everybody else on the pitch.
  14. You know we're about to play a nothing lower league club when they can't stop banging on about attendances - always the sign of a club that's had nothing else to shout about over the years. Plenty of them even in the Championship too. They've won four away games in the league all season. Comfortable Rovers win.
  15. HENning Berg Gary Crowyer Tony Barks Bark Hughes Paul LAMBert
  16. Cat Derbyshire Robbie Growler Pascal Chimp-onda
  17. I'd say it's more that as recently as a month ago (the Bristol City home win made it 7 wins in 11) there couldn't have been any argument that he was getting excellent results and therefore the most out of an underfunded, injury hit squad with enormous question marks about key positions at both ends of the pitch. Given the amount of games we've had since and how bad we've been in almost all of them, yeah, things can change quickly and he needs to fix it - but results across the whole of his tenure were very good until a month ago, nothing to do with his media skills.
  18. Bizarre that - it was a nightmare of a day and a dreadful performance but if we’d have won we’d have been top halfway through the season. That’s how good results had been.
  19. Adam Wharton does at least a few things every match which show he's destined for bigger things. Against Watford he was several levels above every other player on the pitch. Class act. Even if Moran's best position is number 10 rather than out wide, you'd still expect to see more from him if he does have such ability. This 100%.
  20. "Hopefully a really big club in the 5th round". You've just been in non league for 15 years. Aye. If the previous incumbent was still here you'd be advised to stick your money on Wrexham - that's if we'd have somehow got past Cambridge.
  21. Yeah, there were some bizarre posts on here during the first half yesterday. Really surprised by it all after just one very poor month. Well done to Rovers (Sam Smodz in particular, goals aside he put in one hell of a shift) yesterday.
  22. Agree. This season has a strong whiff of 2015/16 about it - probably a lower midtable finish, but clear the direction you're going in after finishing just outside the play offs/comfortable top half the previous two seasons (13/14 and 14/15, then 21/22 and last season now). Cost cutting clear for all to see too. All it'll take is the squad to continue to get weaker and a total dolloper who'll work under any conditions to replace JDT then we'll be on for a repeat of 16/17 next season.
  23. Why does he need games? He's an experienced 26 year old midfielder who's been a constant in our team up until recently. If he's not being picked at the moment, fine, that can happen across a long season and did around this time last year, but we should be looking after ourselves and keep him around. He'd probably have been back in the team soon. Of course that's what a normal club would do. Likelihood here is we're absolutely on our arse and can save a few grand a week.
  24. Travis is going to Ipswich on loan according to Jackson. What a mess.
  25. Numerous threads on protests already and the 'Black Cats Bar' thread is already on 40 pages. Essential reading!
