  1. I think you're the only poster that has said that both France will hammer us and Senegal will breeze past us (!).
  2. Will become! He's already an unbelievable footballer Chaddy, in fact he's probably the best player in the world now Messi has slowed down a little (although it was a joy to watch him last night).
  3. Did he? I’m far from an expert on the Brazilian top flight in the 1960s and 70s but the Brazil national team was obviously the best of that era….and all of the 1970 team, for example, played their club football in Brazil. For a variety of clubs. So my guess it was pretty strong.
  4. Indeed! If I wasn't going out to 'watch' England - which is more for the social side of it really - I'd be tempted to do the same.
  5. A promising youngster who's just broke through at Leeds is not Holland's best player. He's 21 and has only got 3 under 21 caps!! Memphis is a good player but their real strength is at the back. De Ligt, De Vrij, Van Dijk etc, they could even afford to leave Botman at home.
  6. Fine with them going on holiday, but they've just been part of the worst result against our bitter rivals since the 60s - I wouldn't be posting on social media for weeks if I was them, never mind the next day.
  7. I'd say we've got a healthy points total so far and nobody has even equalised against us in the league, so we're doing something right. But then I'd ask: Why are some of your team selections just so bizarre? In what world was Garrett a better option than Adam Wharton yesterday? Messing about with Vale then Hirst at Coventry. How can one player be out the squad game after game then in the starting eleven all of a sudden, as has happened with players like Hirst? RWB/RB and LWB/LB should be the easiest two selections for you each week (Brittain and Pickering), why are they sometimes dropped when in good form?
  8. No Kaminski in Belgium’s squad, so he’ll be available for when the Championship resumes. Good for us, but a shame for him to miss out.
  9. Superb that, get in Rovers! So good to have results like this in the cup for a change.
  10. Yes. Ewood, last time I checked, is the emptiest stadium in the Football League in terms of capacity filled percentage (the stadium is on average 40 something % full). We therefore need to do everything to get people in the ground. On the pitch we’re ‘doing all we can’ by being in the top 2 - shame about Waggott’s horrendous pricing. £30 for a Championship game that’s on TV two weeks before Christmas, unbelievable.
  11. I agree - but seeing how JDT has managed Adam Wharton so far, if he was planning to play him on Sunday I don't think he'd play tomorrow night. We'll see, like I said I'd be tempted to stick him in.
  12. With JDT confirming that Adam Wharton will play at West Ham (so, given how he's managed him so far, he probably won't start on Sunday), I'd also go with exactly that. Otherwise I may have been tempted to stick Wharton in. Albeit not sure at the expense of who as Hedges has to start for me, he's a really intelligent player, and with Brittain and Pickering at wing back (agree that they should play on their correct sides, no need to overcomplicate it) Hedges' spot will be further forward.
  13. In an era where a mid-table Premier League team can go out and poach a manager like Unai Emery, Southampton appointing Jones would be a funny one, though obviously he's done very well at Luton. Just where is Dyche going to turn up next? Not like the 'attractive football' or 'getting a fancier name' reasoning that you often see can be applied here with them going for Jones. Unless they tried for him but he didn't fancy it, all I can think of....
  14. I see he's taken them down to his comfort zone of 13th place. Get used to it Sunderland.
  15. Chadster I’ve no idea how you can say that after last night. He’s got nothing, I can’t see any attributes. If the ball goes up to him the best you can hope for is the defender knocking it out for a throw in. He’s always a split second behind where he should be. He may physically be out there but that’s all, he’s literally just a body.
  16. Good song, but a reminder of he who shall not be named and our PL relegation season.
  17. Rovers tweeted just after 9am yesterday morning about Phase 2 being open, so presuming 9am tomorrow morning too. I'll be ready for it too praying I can get a couple of tickets.
  18. He was very good against QPR I thought on the opening day, then I think he had a couple of much quieter games but since then has been poor unfortunately. The ability is definitely there, he just needs to grasp the next chance he's given - he can't be happy at being stuck with the under 21's, he needs to play like he's got a point to prove which he didn't at Cardiff.
  19. I don’t know why anybody would clap somebody who advised his own staff to leave the ‘little car’ that is Rovers for the ‘big tanker’ that is….*checks notes*….Sunderland! WL ends here, 1-0 Rovers.
  20. Dropped for Jayson Leutwiler (now a backup GK in non-league), sold for a pittance and replaced by Christian Walton. Well done Tony.
  21. Well played Dacky. Markanday looks like he has something about him too - just taking Tuesday's line up, surely we'd have been able to offer much more going forward with Dack and Markanday instead of Szmodics and Hirst. Hirst looking like a fish out of water out on the right touchline I just can't understand in particular. Nice to see the camera the traditional (correct?) way round as well.
  22. The Millwall game last week was extremely boring, literally nothing happened in the first half. And it’d be tragic if Dack is with the under 21s. I’m hopeful he won’t be; the quotes in the LT about playing for the under 21s read differently to the tweet posted on the previous page (which implied it was about Dack, but JDT said more before it about everyone in general being ready to help the team). As @Mercersaid, the Dack question needs answering - so let’s get him in the starting eleven for a run of games and find out the answer.
  23. Think you've still got mixed up though - Curtis signed in 2000 and did lose his spot to Lucas Neill, David May was early 90s.
