  1. That's so accurate. "Win your home games, draw your away games" will probably get trotted out by someone somewhere too - as if a team is going to go through a 46 game season doing exactly that.
  2. Definitely, he was solid, in fact him and Hanley were a very good pairing for this league.
  3. Only playing Wealdstone to be fair.
  4. The money Liverpool have made over the years from selling the likes of Ibe, Solanke, Brewster and now Williams is crazy.
  5. Pivotal night in Jansen’s career too. In his book he said that Souness told him before this game that he was in the World Cup squad. Went out buzzing and scored, in front of Sven. Unfortunately we all know what happened next…. 😞
  6. If they hadn’t stopped producing them, not one person would have suggested getting rid of them as a way of saving a few quid. The earlier posts in the thread are bang on re. the laziness, cba attitude and wanting an operation that’s as small time as possible.
  7. I rewatched the 2000/01 season review recently and he actually bagged a surprising amount at the start of that season. But then Bent and Hughes came in and, according to transfermarkt, Blake barely made another matchday squad the rest of the season (not sure if he was injured or something or just not picked at all for months).
  8. With 5 in 17 in the Premier League and albeit less impressively 8 in 37 in the Championship, Ward was a goal machine compared to Brown’s 0 in 41 for us. He was beyond awful, Brown.
  9. Magloire is 24 in a few months, can't see him ever being good enough. For his own career he needs to leave and start playing some football.
  10. How many of our current players are nailed on good enough to play in the Premier League? Barely any as it stands. Shall we get rid of them all for free too? We’re not currently in need of Premier League standard players.
  11. End of the 19-20 season had a few! Other than that though, could well be...
  12. I don't think he did anywhere near as bad as that, they came 6th in the last full season before his appointment (19/20 was abandoned) and there's far more competition than in Scotland where there's a set top two. Looking at the replies to Kompany's tweet about leaving Anderlecht, their fans were thanking him and were sorry to see him go. But yep, hope it goes horribly for him at Burnley of course!
  13. Indeed. Clutching at the biggest of straws but Nyambe liked Rovers' Instagram post announcing JDT so maybe he's impressed with the appointment and considering staying. Would be a huge boost. Van Hecke liked another one about JDT but that's probably dreamland stuff.....
  14. Depressing isn't it, and I'm checking this thread far too often. If they're going to appoint a z-lister they may as well just get it over and done with.
  15. Nigel Adkins right now feels like probably the equivalent of Mowbray in 2017. Wouldn't be a surprise at all, unfortunately.
  16. "Tit hanging", anyone? "No goal, you were tittin'" 😄
  17. Absolutely. They do things like that much better abroad. Must be fewer ‘get behind the lads ffs!’ brigades. I know it was a meaningless game but here the vast majority would still be in the stadium like robots.
  18. A scrote is a scrote, doesn't matter who the opposition manager, players are etc, there'll always be knuckle draggers trying to have a go. Filming themselves while doing so of course, to show off to their mates. They're not even celebrating the win.
  19. That’s true. Normally the likes of Chris Brown come to mind when thinking of the worst Rovers player I’ve seen (and there’d be a few others from the last ten years not far behind). But you’re right, the only player I’ve seen who looked completely lost was Edinho. He had no business being on that pitch at all. It’s a disgrace he was ever signed and a disgrace he was picked to start an actual game - it would have been obvious all along he wasn’t up to it.
  20. I'd get Diogo Rosado in there myself.
  21. Forest were one of the few Football League clubs never to have played at the new Wembley. Hardly any of us left now….
  22. Everton's home form has been really strong, I wouldn't be surprised if they get 4 points or something from Brentford and Palace. Things can change quickly of course but I'd say it's between you and Leeds.....if either of you manages to win a game, that's all it could take to stay up.
  23. I was surprised that Hughton was so poor at Forest but he’s a lot better than Mowbray, let’s be honest - just look at their records.
