[Archived] Steve Bruce

Sullivan in public showing of soiled laundry shocker. Good lord, the pair of dildo floggers love making a public specticle. They can't help but blab in public. I'm glad JW is more professional. Anyway, Steve Bruce for England !. He may be unemployed soon, so no compensation. -
[Archived] England Manager?
Billy Castell replied to EIEIEIO's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Well since foreigners are apparently devious, suspicious types that are probably closet Bolshiviks and part of an international Jewish conspiricy to screw up the England team , my English choice would be Fat Sam. Unfortunately, since the FA are incompentent twits, they choose Steve McClaren, a man who can rival Woy Hodgson for spending big money on old duffers and over rated players. What has he won ?. Where are Boro in the table ?. He is a very average manager. Might have well saved us the boredom of mediocrity and gone for someone who is properly crap like Peter Reid, Mick McCarthy, Stan Ternant or John Still. -

If it now has to be an English manager, it has to be Fat Sam. He may not be such a long ball merchant with better players at his disposal. -

It is easy to waste a sh_tload of money if you have it. Just look at Woy Hodgson during his spell here. -

Hiddink has signed for Russia. It'll be McClaren because he is meek and suberviant enough to get on with the FA, and is already in the loop with his work with Sven. Think 'Brian Clough' for reasons why big Phil or even big fat Sam won't get the job. -

McClaren will probably get the job because he's a 'safe' figure-inoffensive, dull and grey in every way. An 'establishment' figure. Basically, it's the same reasons why Brian Clough was never England manager, the FA don't like strong characters. -
Have to beat Charlton to regain momentum.

[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
Billy Castell replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I sent a text message to 606 about how good Mark's doing yesterday and it got read out, which was sweet since the Preston hairdresser was taking the calls at the time. -

I saw Broomes get sent off at Chelsea after fighting Luca Vialli who also got the red card. It was during the dark days of Brian Kidd. But at least I got the tickets free since my sister worked for Autoglass. -

I'd like Souness to get the job, if only to see Jan's reaction ! Whoever it will be, I hope they get it soon, the constant speculation in the press is boring me. -

Pearce has done stuff all as Man Citeh manager. They're in the same sort of position they were before he took over. People are really basing his suitability on his 'passion' as expressed by ranting like a lunatic on the touchline. Stuart Pearce would be another Kevin Keegan if he took over. -

The romantic in me wanted him to get better and sign, but since his legs have fallen off, and his bones have tumbled out of his ears, it would be silly signing him. -

That must surely conclude any hopes of us signing him. The lad is a banger that breaks down on every occaision. -

I suppose paraphrasing George Bernard Shaw (I think it was him) would be appropriate: "Those who can, do, those who can't commentate." -

He did do pretty well at Ireland, I give him that. But he is a desparately limited manager on the whole. He has been at Sunderland long enough to equip them with life in the Premiership, but has bought a series of mediocre cloggers, and not improved them one bit. He comes across as a decent and honest guy, but is not much cop as a manager. What I disapprove of is that the studios are littered with numpties like Reid, who is worse than McCarthy getting cushy jobs telling the world that manager X got his tactics wrong. -

Maybe it's a tribute to the latest talentless media whore, Chantelle. -

Peter Reid, Mick McCarthy and the hairdresser are all failed managers who have been allowed to be rewarded for being inept by being pundits. McCarthy may be a good 1st division manager, but he is clueless when it comes to the big league. His players are lower standard players, playing lower standard tactics, and not even the financial problems can be blamed. And I am getting worried Eddie, first you're saying Boumsong is a player we should buy to play, rather than operate the half time tombola. Then you are saying McCarthy is a good manager. Do the sleeves on your coat tie up at the back ? -

It could also be Americans In Guano or Actually Idiotic Gamble. According to the Daily Mirror, this shirt deal is not going to help transfer funds one bit, but will help the Glazer's debts in buying the club. Hope that's true. I'd like to see at least one G 14 club get ripped to shreds. -
I think we'll finish 5th or 6th now, unless Spuds and arsenal implode.

[Archived] Steve Bruce
Billy Castell replied to Philly Rover ®'s topic in Football Messageboard Archive
"Doesn't it hurt that the man who refused to back Bruce in the transfer window because 'to gamble and lose would mean bankruptcy for the club' is sitting on half a billion pounds of masturbation money?" Another classic quote from the article. I think Brum will go down despite the draw against Chelsova, as Portsmouth are really storming it at the moment. I just hope it isn't the Villa match that sends them down-my sisters bloke is on police duty at the stadium that day . -
O'Leary's poverty pleas are becoming so tedious, I expect Chris Martin and St. Bono the Pious to launch a new series of claret and blue wristbands. He is under similar restrictions to Mark Hughes, or Big Fat Sam, and they don't bleat about how their squad is too small or how hard it is to work with no money. But then, they are both decent managers who have earned comparative success for their teams. As Anti Smiths Euro fan (sic) said, he has actually spent a fair amount of money, and it is his fault it was blown on the likes of Djemba-Djemba when bargains like Nelsen, Bellamy and Stelios were knocking about.

[Archived] England Manager?
Billy Castell replied to EIEIEIO's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
In order: 1. Big Phil Scolari (if he can speak English) 2. Martin O'Neill (Will be boring but successful) 3. Fabio Capello (again, may be higher if I knew he could speak English) 4. Guus Hiddink (looks like he'll be elsewhere though) 5. Bob Caragees (aka Sam Allardryce) No way I want these in: 1. Steve McLaren (Over rated, too much like Sven) 2. Mark Hughes (want him to stay here obviously) 3. Terry Venables (I have seen a few letters on teletext wanting this tit) 4. Stuart Pearce (Over rated and inexperienced. Maybe the next one after this)
